Hi
I have upgraded the sgs to the latest update yesterday via the KIES, but the problem still persists. When i am playing music or audible stuff after approximately 25 minutes it automatically stops???
Even when I stop the music or audio book say 20 minutes in it will stop in the next 5 minutes???
do you have taskkiller or auto killer or advanced task mgr.. autokill on?
that is what it sounds like
the fact that it is so tied to a time.. bet you have autokill every 30 min.
if so you need to exclude those.

So i'm a very big fan of streaming music, rather than taking up a ton of space with music files on my phone. As such, i installed the grooveshark app (i'm a fan, idk about anybody else) and for some reason it would not let me log in (yes i hav the pro account). Slightly frustrated i gave up and installed the pandora app, i'm not a hater, i just prefer to be able to hear a specific song when i want, and to be able to skip more than 6 songs... Well all would be good, except pandora will immediately skip to the next song when i turn the screen off, or if i put it in my pocket, or it will stay on the song after i turn the screen off, and in my pocket, and then randomly skip. To make matters worse, once it starts, it doesn't stop, it'll make it though about 10 seconds of a song and then either pause and unpause at random intervals (up to 3 minutes of being paused or so) and then return to playing, or continue skipping. Once it hits that 6 song skip limit, it shows the toast about how you can only skip 6 songs, and then it doesn't go away, there is always another toast ready after the first disappears as if it is trying to skip that song constantly...
Additionally: Slacker Radio fails to log in as well.
In case it matters, i'm using KaosFroyo v31. Same issues whether i'm on wifi or 3g. Not sure if it's something about the pandora app, or the rom i'm using, or just the fact that i'm root, and pandora doesn't like that.
Any help would be appreciated

Odd. Pandora works fine here. Have you tried another ROM? At least you can make custom ROM backups with the phone.
Nawh, havent tried another rom yet. Aside from the streaming music issue's i'm a big fan of KaosFroyo... i did find a setting in pandora about keeping the screen on even when you turn it off (has a warning that it will drain battery life, and came auto checked) so turned that off to some success, and then if i turned the phone face down, or pulled it by the headphones, or shook it too hard, it skipped songs...

it is strange that is on both 3g and WiFi, have you tried a different rom? try it on a 2.1 or 2.2 rom. All i can think of :/
Best of luck,
Cap'n Krtek
I use 3 different radio apps. Pandora, last.fm and slacker. I would recommend using slacker only for WiFi. As far as having problems running apps it could be Rom based problems. Try reflashing the Rom or use another Rom. Pandora also just recently had a update so see if you have the latest version.

Could this have something to do with Verizon's mass text about ours phone's ability to purchase copyright material? I thought it was only dealing with the NFL app but the could be forging as big a ban hammer as they can under the watchful eyes of the ffc

Hello,
from time to time my S5 is playing a sound and i don#t know what app is doing that.
Some time ago it was for example a NFC-Kredit-Card near the Phone.
Now when i am driving the phone doing a "Popp" - Noise .... sometimes in step of a seconds than only after minutes, even if i have all sound sliders on Zero, so sound is disabled.
Yes, I checked background Prozesses (a lot).
Yes, I have uninstalled APPs that could causing it.
I am looking for an option, a log, debug-mode, a app, eg. that is showing me what app is playing sound on a android phone.
Is there something like that ?
Kind regards
Willi
Hey everyone,
When I have my phone connected up to Bluetooth in my car I can stream music (from andrewhaug.com app) for about 5-10 minutes before the music stops. If I wake the device it will resume streaming. Has anyone experianced this behaviour? Is there any kind of setting that I need to look at?
Im running DevBase 5.9.
I have tried resetting the Bluetooth settings but to no avail.
I have noticed possible similar behavior. When using my s9 plus verizon with my 2012 infiniti g37 randomly the Bluetooth music will skip on Spotify(every couple of minutes the music I'll pause for a second almost like a skipping CD) Never experienced this with my s8 or s7. Its always been like this with my s9. Never changed any settings or bothered looking into it.
So, somewhat of an update.
Over the past week I have noticed that the music streaming only cuts out IF the app is not the main focus. What I mean by that is; the app has to be running in full screen, like any normal app, BUT, if you exit out of it to the Home screen or go into another app and then lock the phone, that is when the music stops after a certain amount of time. Even though the app has a background service running, for some reason, its not the main app in focus, it gets put to sleep/kills the resources for it.
A bit of a weird quirk. Not sure if its an Android thing or an app thing.
Put the app out of battery optimisation & allow its background activity

I have battery optimization turned off for all apps.
Another interesting issue is when I'm streaming music, a call comes through, and when its done, the music doesn't resume playing. If I resume it like normal, it then stops like the original problem.
I can restart the phone and then it doesn't have a problem.
Hello there,
I've recently updated to 9.1.0.326 (C432E4R1P12).
Noticed few slight visiual changes and a bit faster (smother?) navigating through system. Maybe thanks to EROFS?
But main downside and reason why I started this thread is that it started killing apps in background in brutal way.
Most noticeable PowerAmp (yes, i have exception in power optimisation for it and also the second thingy you need to do, in order to keep it from getting killed by aggressive huawei strategies) - was working just fine for last year.
Now, headphones plugged in, music playing, no other apps running. Switch screen off -> after about 10 sec, music stops. Switch screen on -> music starts to play again.
Also, headphones in, start poweramp, play music. Open chrome or Facebook (or pretty much anything else for what i can tell), after about 10 sec on a different app on screen -> music stops. Switch back to poweramp -> music starts playing immediately on it's own again.
Doesn't happen with default music app though. Maybe, because it's whitelisted in power genie?
Anyone having similar issues?
i don't know if powergenie is causing trouble. I have no problem with deezer or podcast addict (need exception in battery settings)
Removing Power genie by following this https://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-20-pro/themes/remove-powergenie-to-allow-background-t3890409 did the trick.
I would prefer not to remove it, but since I can't edit the whitelisted apps I have no other choice right now.
This started happening a few days ago and at first I thought it was just random issue, but its happening everytime.
The phone is Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro running MIUI 11 (11.0.3.0) and Android 10.
What's happening is that I am able to connect to my car's BT fine. I can make phone calls fine.
But when I play music, it will work with correct track info for only the 1st song, MAYBE the 2nd song.
For example, if I start a song and 30 seconds in I go to next song, the audio changes but meta data (track info) takes around 15-20 seconds to change. Once this starts happening, I have no more control of music from my car.
A few seconds later after that, music will stop streaming. My car and phone both show they are still connected and my phone is still playing the music.
After about 5 minutes or so, a random clip of music will play that was supposed to play like 3-4 minutes ago, could be even from a different song then what the phone is playing currently.
This really sucks because it was working fine before with the same phone! Other peoples phones work fine with the car.
Something to mention: I think it has to do with A2DP?
Also, there is an option in developer settings "Disable Bluetooth A2DP Hardware Offload". I can toggle this setting but I don't think it works. When I toggle that setting, the toggle becomes blue but then goes back to the left and phone prompts me "You must reboot to apply this setting". I press OK and it reboots, after the reboot the setting is still disabled and in Android Properties (using SetEdit app) I can see
"vendor.audio.feature.a2dp_offload.enable=true", but I cannot modify this I think. I'm not positive this has anything to do with it, but just some thoughts.
What I've tried:
Delete BT pairs, re-pair BT
upgrade car BT software
Used all AVCRP versions (reboot phone and car after each change)
Reinstall MIUI 11 update (same version I already have, just reinstall incase corrupt)
Rooted phone > edit build.prop > disable av.media.offload
I'm not a newbie user, I work as a software dev for a living but this one has me scratching my head. Any help at all is appreciated!
Did you manage to fix it? please tell us how, if you did
