So I was scrolling through my phones statistics when I noticed that the screen refresh rate was at .1hz which got me a little puzzled seeing as it's supposed to be at 60hz. I was wondering what effect this has on my phone exactly and if there was a way to get it back to 60hz. Also I'm using the gb fps uncap if that helps
This is a stupid answer, but if it works fine, I'm sure it's just a glitch, and it's actually 30-60Hz.
You don't notice .1 Hz do you...would be kind of unusable I think...

Hello,
I'm wondering for quite a time why the camera is so slow.
It can do about EVERYTHING but if you want to make some pictures of a moving thing passing by, you are ALWAYS too late.
The only thing I found that helped a bit was a custom camera app from the market which speeds up the camera a little bit by decreasing the resolution.
Is this due to a slow SD-card?
Navigation maps for example load instantly and doesn't shutter at all.
The question is thus if there is any way to take pictures faster, because my k800i was certainly not slower with taking photo's.
BTW: I'm running RemiX10 rom, Min 122MHZ Max 748MHZ quadrant score 97X
Thanks in advance,
Me2freedom
Anyone used IP-Webcam before? Preferably if you were a SGS1 or 2 user.
Can you try IP-Webcam and give me an idea of the performance you get from it?
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pas.webcam&hl=en
Pretty much set a resolution and at a smooth frame rate like 25fps, and see how well it can keep up.
On the SGS1:
Roughly 10fps on 320 x 240
SGS2
About 20fps on 320 x 240
I was wondering if there was a good improvement from using the SGS3?
Just downloaded it, but apparently you need to have a wireless network for it to work. I'll try to get you some statistics when I get back from work.
Anyone else tried it?
ive been running cm9 for sometime now, but only recently started getting random reboots. Im assuming its because my battery is overheating, as its usually pretty warm every time it happens. I set the clock to 1000, and ive checked 16 bit transparency, and unchecked surface dithering(although im having trouble finding the thread that suggested the performance tweaks.)
today i switched to cm10, but the phone keeps getting warm.
should i set the clock lower? or is there something else im doing wrong?

You arnt doing anything wrong. Its because the kernel used isn't made for ics and jb. Its just something most users will experience until moto drops ics.
cool, thanks. I set the processor to 800 and it seems to be doing a little better. doesnt seem to hurt performance that much at all

There is one thing you might want to do. While this wont help it to actually not overheat in the first place, it will help it to cool down quickly when it does. Assuming youre using setcpu or a similar application that allows for profiles, create a temperature profile that drops the clockspeed down to, say, 456 or 608 when temperature exceeds 50 degrees Celsius. Also, making a profile that makes the processor clock down to 3XX or 456 while the display is off will help it to not flip out and overheat while it's idle.

Here is the video i tried to take regarding the screen lag.
Its all real time , there is no , afaik any camera lag ( taken with sg3) , its pretty much how it looks . Also i have shown the FPS . You can see when i scroll slowly , the FPS drops to 20 or so making it jerky. if i do it fast , it reaches 50+ but not stable and not very responsive to my touch feedback either.
I have tried Bexus Kernel with OC GPU , still the same . Is there anyway to force the tablet to display at bare minimum of 30FPS ? I planned to read lot of PDF, but this jerkiness is giving me headache.
Can anyone help me ?
what rom are you running? no screen lag for me on a really old cm10 build. pretty much consistent framerate, though it is kinda slow
i think part of the problem here was B&N's choice of using a PowerVR SGX 540 GPU in this tablet. this particular GPU was also used in the entire original Samsung Galaxy S line, and is at this point 5-7 years old. not a particularly great GPU in my book. granted, we're not pushing a really high screen resolution (1024x600) but still, it's a really old GPU.
CM 11 Snapshot M5 i think. Using along with Bexus kernel.
I can lower the resolution if needed , all i want is a stable framerate display , ready to sacrifice some battery too.
I agree the tablet is kind of old , but i just want to use this as some secondary reading tablet. i have no use for it now.
Try turning off "Magnification Gestures". This has caused input lag for me before.
Go to Settings>Accessibility
its off only`

I don't understand why this phone set to 60hz has really a lot of stutters/frame drops when there are animations like closing/opening apps etc, it feels really choppy most of the times.
At 90hz is smooth, only 60hz have these problems.
My previous oneplus 5t at 60hz is totally smooth, so it's not just the difference between 90-60.
Is anyone experiencing this choppiness at 60hz? I'm on 12.5.5.0 EEA. Already tried a wipe data.
I do, 60hz kinda feels really slow and choppy XD At first i thought that my eyes got used to 90hz, but i tried iphone 12 and redmi note 9 pro and their 60hz felt a lot better. 12.5.5.0 as well
Yes. Maybe the animations themselves are stuttery mess that is simply "less visible" when running 90 or 120 (for other phones) modes. Or perhaps it's some energy-efficiency problem, like "Oh, you switched to 60hz - you must be looking for battery life improvements, let us not only switch down to 60hz, but also make the GPU run slower and more power efficient". Who knows.
I experience the same. Somehow rebooting after switching to 60hz fixes most of the stutters. Perhaps clearing cache wil fix it all?
