ROM: TripNMiUI "Iris" Froyo
- Latest release 26-05-2011
- Rom version 1.3.0
- Froyo 2.2.1
- 8.1MP HD-Ready Camera
- Photo's can be made @ 8mp, 6mp ws, 2mp
- Videorecorder can be [email protected] and AAC audio (highest possible)
- MIUI Themes
- Wifi
- GPS
- Prepared for TripNFeatures
- Needs baseband .49 or .52
- New TripNMiUI theme
- Radio hack ported from TripNMiUI Gingerbread (removed for .54, returns later)
- Improved screen quality! Just check the colours and you know what I mean.
- Boot time 32seconds!
1.1.0 seems even faster
- Iris, you are the best that has ever happened to me!
Changelog 1.0.8:
- Some pixels at 24bpp
- Hacked display and video drivers
- Updated performance tweaks/hacks
- From second Quadrant run and upwards results always above 1500
- FPS sometimes up to 41
- Better hacked Radio (ril-system) (again much improved data and mobile connections)
(specificly at my home i'm going from 1 stripe 3G to 4 stripes HSDPA)
- Flashlight for camera
- and more..
Changelog 1.0.9:
- Fixed audio lag
- Update performance hacks
- Screen is overall even better now
- More little bugs fixed
- Rom should now be stable enough for all other hacks that will be included in next version
Changelog 1.1.0:
- Radio hacked (almost unified baseband)
- Almost all radio files rebuiled for unified baseband (gives way better network connectivity)
- Mobile data hacks to prevent speed drops should also be faster (let me know!)
- TripNFeature 01 (Tweaks&Hacks) rebuilded for better results
gingerbread will get this also, that will be even faster
- Got up to 45 FPS (stock kernel)
- Better implementation of the virtual machine
- Improved connection stock kernel <-> froyo
- Improved MTD connections (faster, less battery drain)
note: battery drain should be much less then before, BUT i need feedback because some settings are very beta, if it drains faster then those will be removed and battery life will also be extremely improved
- Added Gallery3D to replace MIUI Gallery
- Battery temps drasticly reduced
- Baseband 49/52 (bb patch unsupported, possible bootloops) (untested)
- Much more things done, but i forget some things
Changelog 1.2.0:
- TOUCHSCREEN IS NOW 60HZ
- Screen looks better then ever!
- Overal speed is much improved
- Possible mobile data fixes
- FPS half uncaped, only in some apps you notice that the app comes trough (will be fixed later)
- Possible wifi fixes
- Videoplayback improved
- TripNFeature 01 (Tweaks&Hacks) much further improved
- Some little coding issues fixed
- Did some tests for further improvements on the rom (confirmed working, will be implemented)
Changelog 1.3.0:
- FPS uncaped on stock kernel
- 38 FPS stable in Quadrant
- 150 FPS Average in FPS2D
- Ultimate screen tweaks (just as vivid as in 1.0.8 again)
- All kinds of video hacks included to make FPS uncap possible
- Battery tweaks (temps arround 30 degrees, batterylife improved and much more)
- Dont have to say anything about lag fix, because with the FPS uncap all lag should be fixed
- PS dont forget this rom is still W.I.P. it dont takes long anymore, but still not fully final (because of the tweaks and hacks)
Working:
- All major and minor functions working!
Note:
If you find things that you would like to have fixed or when you find bugs, report them in a decent way so its clear what i need to fix.
Rom will reboot itself once or twice to get signal, if it doesnt then you need to use the Dev-Tools app and crash system server.
Note: (v1.1.0 only)
In Quadrant when running almost the last test (with the globe) please check FPS at the bottom, if you look good it jumps from 33 to 45!!!!! once in a while. FPS uncap on stock kernel upcoming? Who knows I need more results on this specific part!

It is advisable to be on base before installing GB Epsilon Project. The best way is to do a clean install from the stock rom with Pit XWLA4
Link Rom - Link CF-Kernel.
And then proceed with installation method is traditional to travez of CMW. Previously always take the Wipes Data / Cache / Dalvik Cache, Format System / Data / Cache and then proceed with the installation.
In case you want to have a visual style to leave them as optional ICS installer by CWM. The credits are for Vertemus, I just edited and corrected some bugs of the same to operate properly in all EpsilonProject.
To have a lower battery consumption is advisable to follow these steps:
According to several people testing kernels that consume less battery in GB are the Phenomenal in versions 2.2 and 4.0. We recommend using the Extreme, in case your computer crashes be changing this medium or normal.
Settings> Display> Brightness: put it to a minimum
Settings> Display> Lighting duration: "1.5s"
Settings> Display> Display Power Auto adjust: off
Settings> Applications> Samsung Apps> "OFF"
Settings> Location & security> Ustilizar networks: off
Telephone keypad> * # 9900 #> "Disable fast dormancy"> exit (this comes to swallow a 20% battery usage)
If you have multiple email accounts, disable auto-sync and manually click Refresh on:
Settings> Accounts and synchronization> Auto-sync: off
If you want to continue with the automatic brightness another way to lower consumption is from the application of JKay change the values in the brightness profiles.
Another way is to also play with the different types of modems available and find the best we go according to our area. Remember that to be possible to use 2G connections have a lower consumption than autimaticas. If you need more speed to sail can move to 3G or Automatic again.
It is important to always install after the end of the Rom google open the play and update the UpdateMe because I I will be updated as we get better application and if they do not always updated will not see the improvements that arise and you will see only Rom and Setting

Try and draw your conclusions. This rom is posted earlier in HTCMania and tested by several people and official beta testers so the page is not an untested version
i'm gona give it a try in few minutes.. right now i'm on ics and if i'm not wrong simple wipe will be enough to go back to GB version??

Will we be forced.into ICS with apps only being available on ICS?
Thats what I worry about.
Else would be happy to stick with GB.

i hope not but actually it is possible that's what happend with Cupcake,Donut,Eclair and Froyo.. i know play store is full of apps which still run on old version of android but not all
Ginger remains at over 60% of the market will not disappear as many terminals will not be able to upgrade to ICS

I'm new here, please someone help. I can't understand what exactly i have to do. I am on ics now. Do i have to install the base rom via cwm first? What about the kernel which is next to the base rom? Must i install it too before flashing this rom? Please someone answer as i am desperate of bringing back the bounce effect and the smoothness of gb in my phone

Yes, I did that right after I flashed the rom and gapps. I had used TWRP then loaded CWM to see if it that worked but it just kept looping then restarting and looping again. I was able to flash a rooted stock rom and now it works but it would have been nice to try out XenonHD. Oh well...

Notes about Battery Saver script
Can be used with any kernels that have init.d support
It completely eliminates the need for an application to set CPU speeds or profiles
Easily customizable - See FAQ for instructions
If Android Overclock, No-Frills CPU Control, Overclock Widget, QuickClock Advanced Overclock, SetCPU or System Tuner are detected, the script is ignored, so it will not affect them
Preset profiles are:
2.26GHz - 100-85%
1.95GHz - 84-36%
1.72GHz - 35-0%
And just an FYI, even at 1.72GHz, the phone still operates very well & smooth, it's the battery savings that are the real benefit

Running it since yesterday with great pleasure : fast and battery friendly :good:
This is actually a newer build of CM, so if you flashed the old one before the release, I would suggest you flash the new release build
Thanx Calkulin, for this rom
Did Camera Have HDR mod
Thanx
Whats up bro?! I see you have carried your bag of goodies through every device bro and still keeping things "buttery". Congrats on the release. good return to android to find you release on the N5. :good:
I'll give this a flash when I get home
Dammit!! And I just flashed your AOSP ROM. I am gonna give this one a run to see if I actually wanna use CM on the N5. I ran a few other roms including the CM Nightlies and wasn't too impressed. I am sure your's will though.
Is tethering on Tmobile working?

So, How is the experience with the Google Launcher with CM? I have yet to try the new CM 11 because I have grown attached to the new Google Launcher in KK.
I am nervous to flash something new as I have well over a month going on my current setup.
Thanks
@Calkulin
Didn't you say your CM rom is your daily driver?

Will Lockscreen Notifications be added to this ROM?
Sent from my Nexus 5 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
@Calkulin - Great build. Using the VanirAOSP kernel with no problems and your init.d scripts are working fine with it. :good:
I have a couple of questions, if I may.
- How often do you think you'll be updating the ROM? / Any plans to use GooManager or the like for updates?
- What's the benefit of "relaxed MMS compression ratio"?
Cheers

The Google Experience launcher works fine - just as you would expect it to on stock. Swipe-right to Google Now and everything.
CM11 has been perfectly stable for me. It's maturing nicely now and I haven't had any big problems. If you're still unsure just make a full backup before wiping so you've always got that month-old set-up to go back to if you're not happy.
Glad your on Nexus 5, remember u making my et4g usable.
Found a bug, when a headset is plugged in you cannot change the volume. It will visually show (volume bar) it just isn't making the physical adjustments.

I'm always concerned about battery life of my phones, so I find this rom really interesting. And now I have some questions before I can decide to give it a try (sorry ): How many percentages do you expect this rom saves compared to stock or to CM? How many hours of SoT for average usage? Does the battery saving feature still work if I flash another kernel?
Thanks.
Loving the ROM just wish it had resizable nav bars

Welcome to VanirAOSP. Our mission is to deliver a clean optimized version of Android to as many devices as possible. This is not a kang rom. You will find versions of the features you love that we've rewritten and improved on plus a few we wrote ourselves. we've tried to acheive a more organized and cohesive setup to improve the user experience while correcting any performance regressions and improving functionality.
If you're the kind of person that needs options to change the font and color on every letter and expect the ROM to end up looking like kid's cereal box then GTFO. You will not find customizations that are done just because someone figured out how to do them. Everything in here has a purpose and is held to a high standard of coding.

Awesome! I've been waiting for this day when an AOSP ROM would be available for the Sprint GS5 Verizo (at least I haven't found one before now)...thank you Devs, great work here, fast and smooth with no obvious issues so far after a few minutes of testing.
I'll let you know of I run into any issues. Thank you very much!
downloaded, thanks for working hard to get us a new goodie to flash
Is this rom de-knoxed?
flashed, lte working great. so far very smooth, looking forward to having the cam working.
Sweet action¡ Need camera but I'll be waiting for it. Any info on Blaze kernel being fixed?

I don't fancy/run AOSP ROMs (I prefer the stability and great camera in TW). But I really love the quicksettings toggles and how they look... how'd you get em' to look like that and how'd you get torch/LTE ?! TIA!
I've been running this for couple of hours now and the only problem I've noticed other than what was mentioned in the OP is that screen rotation doesn't seem to work.

Yeah but this is the first AOSP ROM for the Sprint version. O agree, should be noted.

Average Ram usage is about 2.8G to 3.4G. quite good and smooth.
ANX camera and Camera Go both are working fine. Probably this is the first ANX camera work on A11 for Begonia. Well done!

ANXcamera: Yes.
Most of the function works well, there are some still may not work like Portrait (F.C.).
64MP can be selected at "More".
Using AIDA64 to check, it is still 16 MP cam.
This 64 MP is probably done by software to increase from 16 MP to 64Mp, not a real 64MP.
Front cam is still problem, mostly probably need a hardware update to be released by Xiaomi.
HI, i recently installed this rom in my device and i must say it's the most stable and fast rom i've tasted so far. I've just had some trouble with the notification let not working and sometimes data signal goes from LTE to 3g without reason. Nevertheless keep up the good work. Thanx. Greetings from Colombia

Thanks for reporting this issues in next roms i hope to fix this.
I just have a problem with the cameras... When I flash this buffer fix in Magisk, all of the cameras crash or force close. I'm hoping to use trcamera because it's the most stable camera app I have used out of the others. I can still use trcamera in this ROM but without the buffer fix.
Edit: I hope the SafetyNet issues will be fixed too. SafetyNet fails even with MagiskHide being enabled. This might be fixed using the MagiskHideProps module.
Keep up the good work! This is the best looking ROM I tried so far.
