Unable to push files to SD card - Thunderbolt Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello everyone, I am having a very strange issue on my phone that is frustrating the hell out of me . So I am having troubles pushing files over to my SD card. I plug in my phone and mount the card. I can easily transfer files from my phone to the laptop. But when I transfer files from my laptop to the phone, it shows perfectly fine on the card until I unplug the cord. I pull it up in ASTRO and my SD card reverts back to what I previously had on it before I made any changes. It does the same thing if I were to use ASTRO and go into my card and delete files. Once I reboot the phone, the card reverts back to the same thing prior. It's weird because I can download songs and listen to them fine when the phone is on. But if I reboot, again the SD card reverts back to what I had previously. I have no idea what is going on? Does anyone have any ideas? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

bump..
I am having the same issue and it's really frustrating me also..I cant even root

Question regarding Backing up HD2 SD card

I'm wanting to backup & format my SD card following a problem with Sense not loading described in another thread. Having read various threads about this problem it seems that some, if not all, revolve around issues with the SD card.
Through File Explorer, on the phone, I've selected ''Show all Files'' from within my SD card directory. However after connecting my phone to my PC thru active sync there are some files that are visible on my phone in the SD card directory which aren't visible in the SD card folder on my PC screen. I've tried to find the show all files setting on my pc but haven't been able to.
Thing is I don't want to backup my card then format it and possibly not backup all files that are present on the card.
Any help appreciated.
Hi there,
Two days ago I copied all the files on my SD card to my laptop, changed my card from a 2Gb one to a 8Gb and copied all the files back again onto the new SD card. I never even looked for hidden files neither on the phone nor on the laptop and it all went without any problems and all is working fine.
For sake of good order, I can't guarantee it will work with you as well, but it should.
Bye,
Itamar

[Q] Htc Thunderbolt - SD Card mounted Read-Only. Tap here to fix it problem

Hi All,
I ran into a strange problem with my phone's SD card. Since a week or two, my card started complaining about "Mounted Read-Only, Tap here to fix it error". I did not pay much attention and fixed it by tapping it on the notification area.
However, from last weekend I found out that im not able to delete anything from my SD card. If i delete it deletes it, but when i unmount and re mount my SD Card, all the files that ive deleted are back again on my SD card. Also when If i copy a new file, per say, an MP3 file, it disappears after i remount the SD card.
PLEASE, could someone shed some light on this issue? I've tried unseating, reseating the card, do a full disk check on my windows laptop. Still no luck. I hvnt tried placing the card into a card adapter and plugging it into my laptops' card reader.
Can someone please suggest what should i do next? this is frustrating.
PS: my phone is rooted and ive beeing using BAMF Forever Cubed1.0.7 with MR3 radio since a month.

[Q] No Permission to delete files in external Micro SD Card in Android JellyBean

Hello Folks,
I am using XOLO Q600 running andriod jellybean OS, unrooted. I am having a weird experience with my sd card. Last evening I was playing a game and my phone got hung in next few minutes. I was not even able to shut it down. So I pulled out the battery and restarted it. Since then it is showing DAMAGED SD CARD error, and asking me to format it. But, again, I am unable to format it from my phone, and my can't read the card. I tried to connect my sd card to my laptop using a card reader, it is showing all the files, I am able to copy all the files to my hard drive, but I am not able to delete them. I tried all possble methods to format it, but vain. I even tried to low level format it, but it says card is readonly. When I again insert it into my phone, it says damaged sd card again, but if I try to format it many times (on the phone), say 5 to 10 times, luckily it is successful once and the card works fine in the phone, I can read all the files, but I can't delete any file, it says "No permission to delete". Now if I restart my phone, it would say DAMAGED SD CARD once again, and I would be screwed up. Someone please help !

[Q] Malfunctioning microSD card after unsafe USB Eject from PC.

So I just got a 64GB Samsung EVO microSD for my HTC One M8. I installed it, and plugged my phone into my pc to transfer some music onto it.
I started by moving the music off the device storage onto the card through windows explorer, and it seemed to be transferring fine. It was taking a while as I had about 7Gb of music on the device already. Then like an idiot I unplugged the phone from the new dock I just got and was trying to get to work with my phone cases, while the files were still transferring.
Now, it won't let me paste anything to the SD card or device storage. Dragging files across to the SD card or device just freezes the folder icon where I dropped it. I am using clover as a windows explorer augment, if that makes any difference. But it doesn't look like I can transfer anything to the SD card from my phone either, as I just tried moving the music across with ES file explorer, and it came up with an error about needing a root to write to SD.
I have tried formatting the microSD from the phone, uninstalling the pc drivers for the phone and letting it reinstall them. Tried removing the card then replacing it, and restarting the phone. I have tried using SnapPea to transfer files across, all to no avail. Strangely, SnapPea and ES File Explorer are listing two SD cards, the first being identical to the files on the device storage, and the second being the actual SD.
I have no idea what is going on. I don't have a card reader to try formatting the card without the phone involved, but it seems like ejecting the phone erroneously has messed up the device storage as well seeing as I can't transfer files to either from my PC now.

Micro sd card won't save or delete; not even with TWRP

I have been using my micro sd card for a couple of years now without issue, on the same phone. Suddenly, I can't add new files, or delete old files. I'm not getting any read/write errors or anything... but changes just won't "stick."
Say if I load some music on there, and I can play the music, but as soon as I take my SD card out or reboot my phone, the music disappears.
Same with deleting the files. I can delete the files, and then as soon as I remove the sd card or reboot my phone, the files are right back again.
I have tried formatting it on my pc, with no success. I have tried formatting with TWRP (I'm rooted) with no success. The files still REMAIN.
I tried checkdisk on my PC (I have a micro SD card reader) and it didn't seem to help.
There doesn't appear to be a read/write switch on my micro sd either (and when I use the card reader, I make sure it's not locked).
I am at a loss. We are about to go on a long trip and I'd like to add more music! :'(
Its now write protected... U cant use it anymore... Batter you get new one.
