For some reason over the last week or so, with any podcast player I try, it fails. Here's what happens- I'm listening to a podcast, I pause it and then when I try to un-pause it freezes and then I have to force close. I've also had other apps just freeze, as well as crash upon opening. I've tried clearing the app data and reinstalling but nothing seems to work. I changed from stock to Gingerblur thinking that might help and it hasn't. I'm willing to do a factory reset or a fresh SBF install, IF it will fix the problem.
Anyone have any ideas?

so i opened the market around 4:00pm today...ooohh! its all been updated and everything..about a minute later it force closes..and now, the market simply WILL NOT WORK..it force closes the second i open it..takes about 5 seconds..I have cleared the cache, data, etc from the app manager...force stopped it and restarted..rebooted handset, battery pulled, everything I know to do..has anyone else experienced this, or preferrably, know how to fix it??? I'm running Gingerbread on a rooted HTC HD2 by the way..can I keep the market update and fix the force closing? Thanks in advance for any help!!
My buddy has an Atrix and he is having an issue with his Google Play Music App. When he puts it on shuffle, after about 10 plays or so, the app freezes and he has to force close it. He has tried all the usual fixes such as clearing data/ cache, reinstalling, battery pull, etc.
Anyone else have the same issue or know how to fix?
Thanks!
The phone is pure stock, not rooted.
Hey guys, i just started playing around with the latest Google Now update with the music ID service. It crashes as soon as it returns a search result for the song. however, if i clear the data and search a song, it'll find it immediately the first try. Every attempt after that crashes until i clear data again. Has anyone found a solution to this? It's a super slick service when it works!

Same issue running cm10 on a Tmobile Galaxy Ii branded phone. I will be scouring the web for an answer as well
Nobody else having this dang issue? Its kinda annoying me that I can't figure it out....
100 members have looked, probably some of them have the same issue. The process of solving things takes a little while. I'm thinking Google needs to fix something on their side. This sort of thing always happens when Google rolls out a new service.
In the meantime, clearing the app cache and app data, updating the app, then re-logging in are the usual troubleshooting steps.
I'm not sure what happened. I have been using my DNA like normal, regular web browsing, txt and fb. When I got home to and opened Google play, it automatically closes. Clearing data hasn't done anything. Upon reboot, I get the "gapps" has stopped responding.
Not rooted yet. Should I factory reset? Ugh.
Derp. Somehow, download manager was stopped. When I googled for a fix, I did every term I could think of except "gapps has stopped."
I have no idea how that happened. I paused a magazine subscription earlier. Oh well, I tried to delete this post, no dice. Maybe this will help someone else.
i feel so sad ,i don't know:哭:
Xperia z2 tablet on lollipop
I've been having issues with youtube app, both vanced and default.
I updated vanced app, think I also updated busybox, magisk and other stuff because I didn't use the tablet for few weeks. After that and few days it suddenly started freezing up. The app freezes but video keeps going on and then the popup with youtube has stopped responding wait or kill. Sometimes after pressing wait it starts working again but most of the time no. Sometimes google play services starts crashing too.
Ive uninstalled vanced but same goes on with default, i rolled back updates, same, installed different version of both ot and google play and same happens, also cleared cache many times, wiped delvik and cache too to no avail.
Youtube is my app I use on the tablet and it's been very annoying. I'd factory reset but i have no access to pc at the moment and i wouldn't know how to root it again, had help last time :/ any ideas what to do or try?
I'll have my pc in few days but it's really disappointing I'll have to go though the trouble of reseting it, setgi g it upz rooting and all that just because youtube doesn't work and i cant figure out why, googled long and wide but no luck
Just went through factory reset (or well wiped data, cache and dalvik) and during setup google play services has stopped working pops up and takes a long time to finish the setup. Upon finishing youtube still doesnt work lol, what to do next, flash something? I really don't get what could have gone so wrong
