[Q]Odin error - Galaxy Ace S5830 General

I tried several times to install the VillainRom on my Galaxy Ace but every time this is what happens:
Download Start...
<0> Create File...
<1> StartThread Detected : 1
<2> StartThread Detected : 0
<3> StartThread Detected : 0
<4> StartThread Detected : 0
<5> StartThread Detected : 0
<6> StartThread Detected : 0
<7> StartThread Detected : 0
<8> StartThread Detected : 0
and I left it once once till it reached half an hour with no change, so what's wrong
ps my firmware is S5830JXKA3

Did you start ODIN as administrator?
The start thread behavior is normal.

If you fw not kpe. You should have kpe first. Or flash all file from villainrom. Not just pda!

1st, run as administrator (if using vista / 7)
2nd, use other cooper.ops file

install this driver http://goo.gl/YpgvN and run ODIN as Admin (right click menu - run as admin)

it maybe that kies is runnin in the backround,use task manager to kill it and flash all files that is given in the villain rom file

I am also having problem to upgrade from 2.2.1 to GB.
I have downloaded and installed the driver and make sure no kies is running but yet I still have problem in upgrading my ace to GB

Hey!
Try to change the USB port. And dose the ODIN detect you phone? Dose you phone in "DOWNLOAD" mode? To put you phone in download mode, shut down the phone. Now hold together THREE buttons(HOME+POWER+VOL.DOWN). Hold them until you see in screen DOWNLOADING. Now you can release buttons.

Finally the problem is from the PC, probably some USB device clash with odin. After using another PC, I am able to flash my ace now.

When I flash the firmware for my galaxy ace with odin, it comes out "an unnamed file was not found".
The list of files in the tar file is as following,
$ tar tvf S5830DXKC1.tar
-rw-r--r-- chad.lee/domain users 18931712 2011-03-10 21:47 amss
-rw-r--r-- chad.lee/domain users 6225920 2011-03-10 21:12 boot.img
-rwxr-xr-x chad.lee/domain users 2699264 2011-03-10 21:48 csc.rfs
-rw-r--r-- chad.lee/domain users 6492160 2011-03-10 21:12 recovery.img
-rwxr-xr-x chad.lee/domain users 184832000 2011-03-10 21:16 system.rfs
Anyone knows which file is missing?
