[REQ] Droid X2 Forum - Motorola Droid X2

Hey, gang. I hope I placed this thread in the right forum. I did some careful research and, after seeing most requests placed here (and the subforum description matching the topic of my thread), I stuck it here. But anyway, on with the point!
I am requesting a Droid X2 forum. I want to try to be constructive, so here are some reasons for making it:
- The phone has already been rooted with GingerBreak. This means that the forum won't simply be used for requesting someone find a way to root (though I'm sure people will complain about the bootloader for a little while, ha)
- Despite the near-exact external design, the internal hardware is different, and carries a few 'firsts' for Verizon. Specifically, a Tegra 2 processor (first dual-core phone on Verizon) and qHD screen (highest-resolution screen of any Verizon Android phone).
- The aforementioned changes cause some variations in apps: they can either be displayed differently because of the resolution, or behave differently because of the new processor.
I mention that last one because I believe the Droid X2's different enough to warrant its own forum, rather than having any questions/discussions be lumped in with the first X's forums.

Another great reason to add the forum is that, because the exterior is pretty much exactly the same, the picture of the Droid X can be recycled for the X2! Haha, presto, almost done!

Ok, I edited my inital post since the last one sounded a bit light. But, I think this is the best android forum out there, and I would hate to see folks go to another site just to have x2 discussions. Anyway we can get this added? Any reason why we would not want this added?

I don't think there's any reason why we wouldn't want it added. I think there's probably a certain threshold that has to be met before they will add another forum to the ever-expanding list. There's a few Android phones without respective forums, mainly because no more than a couple people around here own them-- and even fewer would have any interest in talking about them (sup, Motorola Devour).

As you can see, I mainly just removed the Droid eye, but hey! Trying to do what I can to make this as simple as possible for the mods and admins, should they decide to fulfill the request.

I don't get it. I have been a member here for a long time. Yes, I know my name sucks, but I used my same username from a Mac site. Don't ask. LOL.
Anyway, I don't get it. The Bionic has its own forum, why not the X2? This is a totally different device with totally different issues than the X. Any update on this?

It makes sense to me. The Bionic, when the forum was made, was seemingly much closer to release than it is now. With so many, the staff is approaching forum creation carefully. There's already a staggering amount here, so I can only assume that they don't want to make forums for phones that will get little-to-no attention.
The best way to get a forum made for the X2 is to remain civil, positive, and vocal. If others are interested in this forum, you should encourage them to speak up.

I'm game
I just got mine Tuesday and already rooted. Actually I have two of them so I am going to be working on the mods too. I would really like to have a place on here that will allow me the ability to discuss things that I have found. Maybe run some issues by people to find solutions, and to post solutions that I have found. Until that forum is created, I cannot help propel the greatness that is the X2!!!

+1 for now but if the galaxy s 2 Verizon edition is released inside my 15 day return policy it's going back for a swap out! Wish it was atleast the Atrix with 1gb ram, I think the Atrix looks way better too but this is Verizon's only dual core phone and the thunderbolt has a terrible battery life from what I have read.

I agree... plus I doubt that the Droid Bionic will exist so it makes more sense if there is a X2 forum...
