I have tried to import from my SD Card a few themes, i have tried this in ZIP & MTZ format via file manager and through the theme manager
I have downloaded the froyo themes from MIUIThemes.com
but when i click import it just goes back a page and there is nothing there... can anybody help with this issue ?
Thank you

wait until you reach 10 posts & post your issue on the rom's own thread & you will get help
I'm on Cobrato's MIUI & have no issues applying themes so can't really help you
I know its a pain that i have to get up to 10 posts! but oh well, I thought that was the point of this Q&A area...
it is but of course in the rom's own thread you'll get answers faster I said it as a friendly advice
by the way the zip themes won't work only try mtz themes & put them in your sd card in miui/themes for easier access
I checked the rom's thread but didn't notice anyone with your problem, but it seems that some have some issues regarding theme manager though
Thank you... I will click thank you when I am next at my PC.... but I did try the mtz files and still no luck... oh well

I had this problem. I tried to install, you have to look on site if it has 2.2 beside it or 2.3, then if it doesn't work, reboot and try again. that got it working for me

well I'm glad your problem is solved
Make sure you get 2.2 themes and download them straight away from the MIUI online themes. When donwloaded you'll see them in between the selectable themes.
I had downloaded the 2.2 themes as the now work in the new roms
I am presuming that it was just a theme glitch on the 1.0.8 rom, but all other roms after have installed the rom quickly and easily.
But thanks for the replies with the issues as this may help other people who have downloaded the wrong ones

Theres some mods in themes and apps section you could try. You may need metamorph from the market or flash with clockwork app. Check the bible/tips and tricks too, but always follow directions and do a clockwork backup first..gl

I am almost positive there are no flashable themes for any ROMS that are out now. ( Well any that are current.) If you flash an old theme on a new ROM you will must likely get a brick due things like the framework being changed.
Metamorphs can only be done through metamorph itself & themes in the markets are got home replacements only.
ok, so ive reacently rooted my wildfire and flashed it with cyanogen 6.
and i want to try a new theme, ive downloaded the theme injector and all that stuff. I understand how to install it BUT: if i theme my cm6 will the phone act like i installed a new rom and will i have to do all settings and homescreens again? or will all my settings contacts and apps still be on the same place just with a different appearance?
if you want me to explain better, let me know!
dont blame my english, im swedish

Okay, so after flashing the new Bionix-V ROM, i have been customizing it to fit me.
One thing I have been dying to get was the skinned Gingerbread keyboard. The Blackout Green one in particular. Found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=9814026&postcount=169
There is a flash-able .zip and an .apk file. I have tried both methods and still no luck. I followed the instructions and can't seem to get it to work.
I know that the Bionix-V ROM comes with the stock gingerbread keyboard, do I have to delete that one to install the other one? I'm just worried that it will get deleted and I cannot re-install and.
Thanks in advance!
I believe you do have to delete the original first but before you do copy it to ur sd just in case it doesn't work. Don't forget to reboot after you remove and install

Yes. The next update I post (at least for my mods of them) will automatically remove the original before applying the update.
Sounds good, I will delete the original Gingerbread Keyboard.apk and flash your mod. Will keep a look at your post for the update!
Thanks guys!

I released an updated Blackout Green yesterday in the original MTM thread. It's near the end. You can also just find the Gingerbread Blackout link in my signature and find it there.
Just starting work on the rest of the colors as it appears no issues have been found with what little changes I have made.
Just an fyi... im using the blackout red gb kb... i just went in with super manager and renamed the stock one and then pushed the blackout (just to make sure if it didnt take i wouldnt lose the stock one too) and all is good and this keyboard is SWEET
This is just a zip you can flash to erase whatever theme you are using (for stock ROM). This will install all stock apps, stock frameworks, fonts and boot animation. I use this when I'm testing themes. Much better than re-installing stock ROM because you don't have to do any wipes (keeping all your apps and settings) and it will keep your OC kernel active. Also much quicker than re-installing stock or restoring nandroid

Ok, I'm coming from the moment and everything seems to be a little more confusing on the shift. I just perm-rooted my shift yesterday. Now I'm looking to theme it. I haven't installed any roms or different kernals yet, because I'm really confused on which one to do, cause a lot of them say something is broken.
So what i wanted to do was apply the cyan dragon theme. So I assume this theme eraser acts like a theme template and I have to use it before applying any theme.
Now the next problem I'm having I can't even download this or the cyan theme. Every time I click on the download link I get directed to the dropbox site and I get a 403 error. I even tried creating my own account and logging in and still don't know how to get the file. Don't know if its a dropbox problem but I've been trying since last night. I've never used dropbox before so maybe I have to do something different to get the file. Unless it's an xda thing and I don't have proper permission to download this file.
Any help would be appreciated, cause I really want to theme this bad boy.

This is not a theme template per se. You don't need to use this to flash a theme. This is for when (for example) your on cyan dragon and you decide you want to try a blue theme. This puts framework, apps, ect back to default (using nfinites rom as a base deodex) since not all themes have the same themed apps and you don't want to have some themed apps leftover on the wrong theme. This is also much faster than reflashing a rom, keeping all your apps and settings. If you're trying to flash cyan dragon then I recommend flashing nfinitefx45's stock 2.0 rom found in android developement first. The issue with the links is dropbox related and I'm planning on moving everything to multiupload later on today, then ill update the links.

I wouldn't recommend it. Mikshift is an odex rom and this is deodex.

Hey Dread,
If running the NFX Odex ROM, then which of the two versions would you recommend?

Well in that case I guess I would suggest the mikshift version cuz its odex as well... but it will basically become mikshift at that point...

do we have to wipe theme before applying another one, if we currently have one installed already?

Its suggested to do so. If you flash a theme over a theme there might be residual themed apps leftover as not all themes theme the same apps.

This has been asked in the thread on Slade's 6.01 CG Froyo for the mini pro, where also the link to Mika's Honeycomb theme is posted under the first item, but it hasn't been answered yet (as far as n00bie me could tell):
I have installed 6.01 successfully over 2.1.0.0.C, getting dual touch, QWERTZ, market, and other minor problems fixed with the help of this forum.
After installing my stuff, updating everything, and setting up the apps, I installed Mika's Honeycomb theme vs 5, which seems to be specifically meant for the 6.01 ROM. I did it via xRecovery. Wiping data, installing wiping again, rebooting, ... and then the bootload screen rotates for a while before freezing. I wait for up to an hour, and then have to remove the battery.
The only way to get the phone to boot again is resetting it to factory settings.
I've done this two times over now, and before matching the definition of insanity - doing the same thing over and over again, expecting a different result - I wanted to know if anyone has successfully installed that theme on that ROM.
Thank you!
[P.S.: Yes, I have functioning backups of the best version I actually did get to run.]
Not solved, but circumvented.
Okay, I gave up, installed GO Launcher, and chose another nice theme.
Sorry post on wrong page
Thank you for the hint. Just to avoid this in the future: What would have been the right place? As noob, I can't post in the developer threads.
