Hi, just a quick question because I have been a CDMA user for a long time now and don't have any experience with GSM phones. Is it possible to use a T-Mobile prepaid SIM card in an unlocked HD2 and not have to carry a contract. And if so, what all needs to be unlocked, the phone and SIM or is it an all in one deal?

An unlocked phone could work with any sim carrier ever.
For unlocking, u could buy the unlock code from any unlocking service on the net

Is there any way at all to unlock the atrix for free? i mean unlock it to all networks not unlock the bootloader or anything. im on orange btw.
My carrier, AT&T, allows me to get 5 free unlock codes every year. Maybe your carrier allows the same? Try calling them and asking for a SIM unlock code and give them your phone's IMEI number.

So i have a uk model of htc 7 mozart original carrier was orange, and i wanted to unlock it and use it on O2. i purchased a $15 unlock code from online, it accepted the code but it says no service? i tried 2 different sims but same result, then i tried a tmobile(uk) sim there was signal bars but it did not let me make or recieve calls?
Anyone have an idea of what might be wrong? if the phone is unlocked after putting in the code or is it doing that because its still locked to its original carrier?

i just brought on ebay x10i mini
but it says he tryed tmobile and orange but orange are now with tmobile uk
so i not sure what actual network its really on so i can unlock the mobile
if i used bootloader would that unlock it if not how can i check so i can get it done
I have a sony xz premium phone model G8141. I purchased it second hand from a business on ebay, who say it is locked to o2. This appears to be correct as there is an app called "o2 recommends", i can use o2, tesco and giffgaff sims in it, but not ee or vodafone the phone comes up requesting the unlock code. I contacted o2 to get the unlock code, but they told me that it is not on an o2 phone and is not in their database. I can go and get it unlocked at a high street unlocker, but why might the imei not be on o2 s database. Could the phone be actually locked to another network eg tesco, sky, giffgaff, lycamobile etc. Could o2 have recorded the imei incorrectly, or could the phone have been originally locked to a different network, say ee, then unlocked and then locked again, but this time to o2? Or could there be another possibility?
