I have CyanogenMod for the Aria; CM 6.1 installed. Works fine. When trying to download Skype for Android:
It says: "Not found - The requested item could not be found"
On another attempt before it said my version is not supported or so:
Menu> Settings> About phone> Software information> Firmware version: 2.1-update1
Is this right ? Shouldn´t it say 2.2 ? Did CM6.1 install ok
Yes I´m a Newbie and appreciate any help Tx
You might try re-flashing it.
Looks like you didn't install CM6 properly. It should be extremely obvious if you have it. For one, the notification bar is white instead of black.
where are you(country)?
for example Skype is not available for my country/operator i had to install it using market enabler. maybe the same thing is happening to you...

Hello again...
I have a european HD2 and i decided to use the ROM from Dutty.
This configuration:
Duttys_Leo_Sense_2.5_5.23138.5.3.9_3.14_N4S_Legacy_Cont._(V1)_GER
Radio_Leo_2.15.50.14
I use the WinMobile mostly but i am curios about a german android version to run on this. I used this one until now: darkstone_HD2Froyo_v1
But on the Dutty ROM it won't start, only brings a green screen und nothing else.
Have any of you an idea on how to get a german android 2.2 version on this configuration? That would be swell
Edit : Plz close this thread. Found one!
Thread closed as requested.
I've been using the excellent CM7 ROM from mik_os (currently on 6.3beta).
I'm unable to enable call waiting. going to ( Menu - Settings - Call Settings - Additional Setting ) screen shows an error as below
Call Settings Error - Network or SIM Card error
logcat doesn't show any additional information / errors.
I did have call waiting enabled / working with the stock ROM with same provider.
I would appreciate any help / direction to resolve this issue.
Info on current setup
* P500
* Mod Build Number: GENGERBREAD.eng.mik.20110502.231400
* Android version : 2.3.4
* No Apps2SD, install was done with a clean wipe.
I am having the same problem although my carrier is Vodafone and I'm using mik_OS 6.5.2

Any solutions????
Same probleme here

I'm not sure about XDA's rules regarding revival os very very old threads, so I'm going to answer your post anyway.
I assume you said you're having the same problem running CyanogenMod, right? (otherwise, I can't help you)
Starting from this point, CyanogenMod has fixed this on the recent nightly releases but, since your phone currently doesn't have nightly builds (I think because they're mainly for newer devices on CyanogenMod), you'll have to wait for the next semi-stable or stable release (Release Candidate or Final build) to have it fixed.
Here are the fixes from January 13:

Is there any version of Voice Search That works with AOSP Gingerbread for Hero? I had Voice Search on the SFM 3.0 Hero test 1 sense rom and it worked ... I've tried to take that apk and install it to Elelinux's GB but it is not working ... the app starts but it doesn't let me speak it shows only a spinning circle like the app is loading but it never does. I tried downloading it from the market via PC but it doesn't let me download it : "This item cannot be installed in your device's country." Can someone point me to an link where I can download a working Voice Search for Hero? I want to use it in Iris app as I did in the above sense rom
For me - Market Enabler - change of provider - downloading from market "google voice search" - on elelinux 7.1.0 v 3.5.1 - WORKED!
My Atrix is SIM unlocked, rooted, bootloader unlocked and Gingerbread installed.
What to do now ? Just to use it as a smartphone only ?
Jocking. But suggestions appreciated.
- Is it really worth to try an other ROM ?
- Is there a possibility to connect a hard disk via USB port ?
- Is there a dual boot possibility to boot additional an other Linux operating system ?
- Is there any application to remote control my Atrix from my Linux (Ubuntu) laptop as a remote computer with desktop (homescreen etc.) of my Atrix ?
( Attention not talking about remot control of computer from the smartphone)
- How could a store (move) my
text massages (Gingerbread text messages)
emails (k9 mail)
videos (Gingerbread video camera)
fotos (camera zoom FX)
bookmarks, etc ... my profile of Firefox mobile
on my external SD card ?
Hi Folks ! My questions were not jocking, but probably too many of them.
So maybe one only:
Is it worth to try an other ROM when your phone is already unlocked and rooted with the original one ?
Until you've used cyanogenmod everything else is just.....lowbrow. Download the latest stable release of CM7 from the development forums. And you'll never go back to stock again.

Hi Phalanx7621 !
I have heard of cyanogenmod ROMs, but to my knowledge ( http://www.cyanogenmod.com/devices ) there isn't an official one for the Atrix up to now, where everything (fingerprint etc.) is running fine.
Anyway, as I never used a different ROM, I have quite some difficulties to understand what are the benefits for doing like this. For sure there are, otherwise nobody would do. Maybe the ones of you who changed the ROM could share some facts with us the still non changed ones.
Maybe I am wrong, but if I compare this action with my ThinkPads. Should be comparable, as the Atrix is a kind of mini laptop and even running with Linux (Android). Same on my ThinkPads, they are real laptops and running Linux as well (Ubuntu). - Sorry can not compare this with Windows.-
To update the Android version from V 2.2 Froyo to Gingerbread V 2.3 is like an update from Ubuntu 10.04 to 10.10. Usually some improvements, bug fixes and updates. Fine.
To change the ROM. Isn't like to change the distribution on the laptop ? For example to change from Ubuntu 10.04 to Linux Mint 11. Both are on the same basic. More or less the only difference is the look & feel. All applications are the same. And even Ubuntu you can make it look like Mint or vice versa. No really need to change the distribution.
Maybe this is the same with changing the ROM. The look & feel.
But what about
- boot time ? Really different with different ROM ?
- the speed ? Really different with different ROM ? But when ? To open Firefox for example ?
- the used RAM by the operation system ? Any differences ?

There is a quasi-official ROM. Actually, it IS Cyanogenmod 7.1.0 with some fixes to get it running on out Atrix. The fingerprint does not work because only Motorola ROMS have both the kernel drivers and the libraries to make it working. Fortunately, the Atrix Cyanogenmod team is working on this and eventually they will find a way to make it working.
In any case, I find that the stock rom and the stock radio still has the best battery life (in my case, still Froyo). Maybe not the best performances, but I am pretty sure about the battery life.
Update: CM7 Atrix team have the permissions to build their nightly releases on Cyanogenmod build server. I believe that they are getting fully recognized by Cyanogenmod. Therefore, I would say that they are pretty much official.
OneNote clearly states that it supports Android 4.1+ and
I got 4.2.2 ( CM10.1.6 ) and gives me this error "Error upgrading" on launch followed with several force closes.
I am looking for solutions in meanwhile.
Does anyone knows what version of OneNote works, is someone even using it?
EDIT: OneNote 15.0.2727.2300 version is working even with ICS+. Latest version still incompatible even with JB tho.
