I highly recommend this awesome free app to all users. Basically what it does is that if you mute your ringer or press VOL- all the way. The "shush!" app triggers itself for you to set a time before the ringer is auto-restored.
Great layout and easy to control. I used to forget my mobile on silent in my pocket and miss important calls. But now with this gem I estimate how long I need the mobile to be silent and all done slick and easy.
The timer can be controlled using the VOL buttons or by touching the circle in rotation motion.

same here. one of the first free apps I re-download after a format.
Agreed, Shush is awesome! Have you tried Silent Time? Its another good one. You tell it what times you want the phone to be silent (work, school) and you dont have to remember to silence or restore, its done automatically. And you can set exceptions if there is someone you want to be able to get hold of you.

Recently Google came out with an Voice Actions app that allows you to perform certain commands on your phone with speech.
Heres the Video
Cool Huh? But its only available for android 2.2.
Theres an app in the market called Vlingo, its completely free and you can do the exact same thing as Voice Actions app. I was blown away by the functionality and accuracy of this app. I just had to post it.
Heres a link to the app so you guys can try it out for yourself.

truly sucks for the people who paid 10 bucks for vlingo.... It is a great program though
I was trying this app out the other day actually, but I couldn't figure out how to get it to send texts via Google Voice instead of the phone's SMS.

yeah, i don't understand why this option hasn't been implemented with so many users on gv.
I think it sends text messages through your default messaging application. So if google voice is your default messaging application it should work.

I would try e-mailing them to see if to see if you could get your money back. It's worth a try!
love this app. i use it all the time.
As title says...how do I add the additional quick links to the pull menu bar (screen brightness, ringer volume, rotate)???
I've been looking and am hoping someone can help....I don't want to flash a different ROM to get them, just mod the one I'm on now. A flashable zip would be even better
Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks for posting this. Do you have to do anything else besides flash this? I'm pretty n00b at looking inside apks
i flashed this and I didn't get any extra settings. Any ideas? Thanks, I'm on stock rooted btw
Yeah, HTC should really offer some customization of their quick settings.
I'd personally like to see an option to put the phone in standby, like is available on some MIUI ROMs. The less I need to use the hard power button, the longer it'll last.

I think this is what I have but it's made for gingerbread 2.3.3 which works for the most part on 2.3.4 but instead of saying "of or on" it just says "1% 2%". Are you using 2.3.4?
is there an update of this zip for 2.3.4?
Thanks!

Screen off and lock from the market.
Solves your problem.
Hi everyone..
I'm looking for an app, widget or anything you can think of, style appsi, sidecontrol or any other quick launch app, that can be activated through a shortcut or any other way beside gesture... From my experience both of these apps are the most usefull and efficient apps of there kind. You can add favorite app, contacts, toggels or practikly anything you would like. The thing is that for me personally, being able to activate them only via gesture is quite annoying. I find myself accidently triggering it, or facing bugs. Appsi hasn't released anything for a while, so I guess that the project is over. And sidecontrol has bugs and doesn't work well on my lg g3. Does anybody know something else like theme?
Thank you for taking the time to read this long post, and of course for your help....
You can try SwipePad app.

Sounds simplistic, but why not just put your apps, shortcuts, etc in a folder?

Swipe pad is launched by a gesture, and is rather limited than appsi or sidecontrol...

Because that to access everything you need to go the home screen. I'm looking for something you can access these features from anywhere..
The home screen is just one big menu that has hot key access via the center of the navbar.
I can access it from anywhere by hitting the home key. I can return to any app I've started via the recents key.
Your view of how your menu should work is the same as this. In your app you hotkey access from anywhere. So do I. You would have categories to establish multiple menu levels. So do I. You need to return to the app you were in. So do I.
Mine is just reinventing what we already have. Yours requires additional code and system resources. I'm using mine and you're still looking.
Point taken...

Wock - Wearable Lock
I'm really excited about Android Wear and I can't wait to get the Moto 360.
Instead of waiting I decided to develop this app which gives you the ability to remotely lock your handheld.
If you see someone is grabbing your phone you can stop them from (i.e.) browsing through your phone
gallery by using this app on your watch. Your handheld will lock and a PIN will be set. It is possible to enter your
own pin or you can choose to random generate one.
The generated PIN will be sent to your watch so you'll be the only person knowing the PIN.
Main features:
✔ Custom PINs
✔ Random PINs
✔ Ability to unlock device with watch
Yes. I named it Wock. Because... ehh. ehh. C-catchy?
Play Store: Apparently I can't link to my app since I just made this account. You should look it up yourself. "Wock".
Nice app I installed and try it..
Thank you
Here is the link.

No problem, let me know if it works.
Works pretty good so far, just a small lag until it generates a code otherwise everything seems good. Will have to test it more.
Is it possible to automatically lock the smarphone when connection is lost?
And unlock when BT connection is established?
Thanks a lot for this app!
works well but getting the pin code has some lag in it. rest all cool!
Anyone know of a good app that will make the flashlight blink when you get a text or missed call? I tried a few from the playstore but they arent that great and they only flash it for a few seconds, I often leave my phone face down in a noisy environment and it would be nice to have the flashlight flash every few 5-10 seconds after a text or missed call until I see it, do any kernals or roms have this baked into it or as an option? or anyone know of a good app that does this?

I just tested it out and its cool it is built in but it only flashed it for a few seconds, I am looking for something that will make a flash every 5 seconds or so, and keep flashing until I look at it, or at lease for a specified period of time.... like a missed alter reminder.....
