This is a boot animation based on the TV show, The Event. Seemed like fun to make it have a Android theme.
Please read. I am not responsible for your lack of literacy or patience to read a few things. Don't say it doesn't work. I have tested it and it does.
This is a landscape boot animation, and has the dimensions of 480x800. If your screen size is different, you can change the desc.txt to reflect your screen size, or just ask me and I will do it.
Not this fast on a phone. Also the last image is the looping image so the whole animation does not start over.

I have included 2 ways of putting this on your phone, a bootanimation.zip to move in root explorer or equivalent, and a flashable zip (PLEASE NOTE, THE FLASHABLE ZIP INSTALLS IN /SYSTEM/MEDIA)
DOWNLOAD
Method 1;
NON Flashable
Move to the appropriate folder for your device and set permissions like this
Method 2;
Flashable
Flash via Clockwork Mod Recovery. No need to disable Voodoo.

i've put together a very simple boot animation, which doesn't light up the room on boot
now ... do i put it in /data/local or /system/customize/resource using adb? or can i create an update.zip for ease of use?

i flashed the exact same image to my desire last year & despite having since flashed numerous roms to it - the boot has always remained. i'd like to achieve the same on my flyer since simplicity is the aim & i do get tired of busy animations very quickly.
thanks
Try using adb on
/data/local
-And replace the bootanimation.zip
-Dont forget to change the file permission (it should be rw-r--r--)
Or you can use the root explorer.
Dont forget to change the android_audio.mp3 file also.
Hope this help.
Here's my first boot animation. Its taken from the game "BattleField 3". This boot animation show the graphics when the game starts (I mean the stylish EA Sports, DICE and Powered by Frostbite 2 logos). This is only for the devices with screen size of 240x320. If you need this in any other screen size, tell me.

How To?
-Change the name of the file to bootanimation and copy to sdcard.
-With root explorer copy boot animation to system>media (replace the original one).
If you like it, then plz let me know it and also thank me.. .
A bit weird having some game's intro especially when it's logos of game developers as your boot animation. Good job nevertheless.

Like many others I'm a fan of Clash of Clans.
Loved the TV advert and thought it would make a good boot animation for my tablet.
I would prefer to get the images sharper but file size gets a bit heavy.

If you have never added a custom bootanimation before, dont worry.
Installation is easy.
Download this:
https://db.tt/jXG4wWXz
Do not unpack or extract anything.
Make sure the file is named bootanimation.zip
Simply copy and paste the zip file in system/media ( rename the existing file 1st)
Set permissions to 6-4-4
x-x-o
x-o-o
x-o-o
Reboot system and enjoy.
Working great on my tablet and I accept no responsibility for any issues caused etc etc.

Always backup before modifying files in /system!
After having massive boredom, I decided to spend an hour making a Titanfall Bootanimation and Lock/Unlock screen sound.
The preview for bootanimation is below, had to split for size reasons

}
Unlock/Lock sound is the Kraber-AP's bolting forth and back, the volume turned down a bit.
I'll maybe add sound to the bootanimation.
How to install:
just go to your recovery and flash it!

I actually made my very own boot animation, but for some reason it won't work on my Z3. I even have the exact same amount of images as the original stock boot animation, saved them in exact formats and zipped it back up using Store. Could you please help me to get my boot animation working on my device?
