When the phone arrives, will this so called xtc clip help us out in anyway with the locked bootloader? I've only heard about the xtc clip as of today. Dont really know much about it. Feel free to chime in if you have any knowledge of this.

Its really expensive like 190.00 they are all over eBay but no real word on if it will work. Sensation is waiting on a patch for it to work . Your guess is as good as mine. I have read where some people buy it and then use it to do other people's phones also and charge like 30 to 40 bucks. Xtc has a web site and a forum that's where I read this info.

It may not be updated to run on the EVO 3d raskall from rebel xtc said that the sensation he is not updating it.
We need to keep hopes up I just thought before you buy those go to there forums and look up the phone you have to see if it will even work.. let's hope we don't have that same answer for the 3d.......

i have the xtc clip and updates come out very quickly. they are great on that respect so while it may not be supported now it should be very soon after it gets released.

That $190 is for unlimited usage. They offer a "one time" one for $30-$40

Someone have any idea when evo 3d comes to Holland?
Some sites tell he come not to Holland, other sites and even a carrier list in the leaked rom on this site tell us that vodafone is the operator here in Holland for Evo 3d.

I don't understand why someone would be more scared to root their phone than to send it to a stranger on eBay. The "seller" is most likely inexperienced if they bought a guide on eBay when a quick Google search or a look on the forums here can answer questions on how to get root on a phone. And buying a rooting guide is even dumber than buying root.
If you need someone to root your phone or are willing to send it off, and not learn how to do it, then you don't deserve to be rooted What's the fun in having to pay someone to do it?

EXACTLY. Cuz when or if you get it back, your not going to know what to do with it. Its more trouble sending the phone off to be rooted when you could just simply use the only available method to root. One click!

Yup, I see this hustle all over Craigslist. Many of them are little 3rd party kiosk type shops in the mall too. But you know what, more power to them man. Get your paper, your just doing what someone else is scared to do.
No different than my buddies who charge people a few bones to work on their trucks. He has all the tools etc and can install cams, lowering kits, trannies, tq verters etc. Most of the work is easy and straightforward.
But in this guys situation, people are buying "peace of mind" whether or not the guy knows what he is doing or selling...thats another story. lol

Well, the eBay d-bag didn't get any buyers, so it's not too big of a deal...and he paid for the listing. So technically he lost money.
I know we've had a few threads speculating about this only to have them come back in stock and go again quickly. Now however it looks like BestBuy has pulled them from their website. Looks like this great little tab is now officially no longer available in US wifi version. Didn't think it was really happening when all signs pointed to this last week.

Lol. Bestbuy was the official US source for the P512 wifi only model. The point isn't really Bestbuy per se, it's about this model now more than likely being discontinued.

Yep, here in the US, Best Buy (a large electronics store chain) had an exclusive deal with HTC to sell the P512 (that many of us refer to as the Best Buy wifi only model). If Best Buy is out of that particular model, then that model has completed its run.
I'm sure that there are still plenty of other ways to get the other View / Flyer models around the world. I'm just glad that I got in on the deal on the P512 before they sold out. This is a great tablet, and I plan to use it for as long as I can.
And, I can understand that some might see this thread as being US-centric since it is only about the US Best Buy tablet, but the OP never said anything about the Flyer / View being done world-wide. Us USA folks just won't be able to walk into our neighborhood Best Buy and purchase this particular model.

Actually the View 4g is Sprint specific. The Best Buy WiFi only Flyer (P512) is not the same, and was released before the view. Before you try to correct an OP, you should know what you're talking about.
My tab's Flyer than yours! Unless this is posted in a Flyer thread, then it's just as Flyer...

This is true but in fact it is the only US specific model of the "Flyer" series.
The other CDMA (market specific) model is the ExpressKT or Korean Flyer.

And before making an arrogant statement like that you should check *YOUR* "facts" particularly when the two others who mentioned this meant it as a little bit of light-hearted ribbing. The P512 is the WIFI only model. It is neither BestBuy nor US specific. It is a global model. The only difference between the "US BestBuy" model and the rest of the world is that it has a Brightstar CID and other markets have a different CID and for a long time we had no RUU for it.
Didn't know the overseas wifi version was also the P512. Let's not make it a huge issue. I'll update the title.

Irs421, I had no issue with what you posted whatsoever and had no issue with the title at all even if it was slightly inaccurate, the truth is that the US was the one big market for that model. It was the language of the previously quoted response that annoyed me, nothing else.
