First of all... you post in the wrong forum.... this is mini development and since you have pro go to the mini pro section....
2nd... in the mini pro development forum you can see all the guides on how to flash your phone to android 2.2/2.3... please read all the Q&A as all your question can be answered there.
3rd... Tyou do not need app2sd as they are already method of native app2sd in 2.2/2.3... You only need it if you are planning on staying on 2.1 as the eclair does not support such funtion...
Hope that helps..p/s welcome to the community

Hi, welcome!
I think you can start by stickying the 'Exploid' topic under Android Mini development, the same root is applicable on the mini pro so it could be linked on that sub-forum aswell.
device OS by manufacturer
If you select the devices by os or manufacturer and you select sony /android you are redirected to the x10 only not to the x10 Mini.
It would be good if this could be repaired

just a quick question...
why isn't there a reference here to the One-click Universal Androot Rooting Method for X10 Mini/Pro?
or i just don't know how to search?
just thinking it's less scary to root the phone that way especially for newbies?

Sorry...
Hello mod. I'm new here too (actually, I've lurked for quite a while). But today I wanted to post (for the first time?) and found out I can't link to images, so I'll be working towards unlocking that feature so I can share how I themed my X10 Mini Pro. Nice to meet you
Hello new moderator
I got a warning because of the line I had after every reply , I stopped doing that since.
The question is : can I reply to the warning message to say that i'm sorry?
Could the warning be at all removed?
Hi there, Nice to meet you

The main goal has been achieved! We have a root! And froyo - its only live wallpapers and flash player that inhibits smartphone and eats battery!
Sorry for offtopic and once again respect to our devs
Hello, i'm a newbie when it comes to rooting..i guess it's because i don't want to destroy my phone (just yet), and even i can see a rooted phone would give me a lot of extra's prog's to play around with, plus gaining processor-speed? and extra battery-life? would come in handy, i want to be absolutely certain to do things the right way, the right steps, the right flash-process and the right roms.
As i said i followed the great news of the sonyericsson xperia x10i being rooted and i read the forums of how to achief this but along the way i get confused by different roms, slightly different processes and i would very please like someone to enlighten me with THE proper knowledge.
I have:
Modelnumber: X10i
Firmwareversion: 1.6
Smallbandversion: 1.1.31
Kernelversion: 2.6.29-rel semc-android AT SEMC#2 (whatever that is)
Buildnumber: R2BA026
Please try to be as simple and accurate as you can
Thank you
just download "Universal Androot"
Then INSTALL it
And click ROOT
OK~
root xperia x10
Thanks for your quick reply and indeed androot did the job.
Now i am trying to find custom-settings for my x10 for setcpu to put them into a txt file so setcpu can read the supported kernels, do you know them or where i can find them?
Universal Androot
Hi,

Super happy...X10i, rooted!
The file on this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=14327121#post14327121 is corrupted. I need a healthy, working one and I'm not sure that the general version will work as it is said on that thread that the app is specifically adjusted to mini pro's new update.
Thank you all.
Use search
http://www.google.com/cse?q=super+o...ub-2900107662879704:fs7umqefhnf&ie=ISO-8859-1
Link for SuperOneClick

I did use search as you can see from my question. I was just wondreing if this version is OK for mini pro, becease in the mini pro root thread someone said that the SOC is adjusted SPECIFICALLY for mini pro and I thought it needed to be so. Thanks

can someone tell me where to find facts about the new mini. want to now if they have added dualtouch to it. it looks like and awesome screen maybe its have a nice digitizer also.
This should be asked in Q&A thread.
here you have about nev Mini Pro http://www.gsmarena.com/sony_ericsson_xperia_x10_mini_pro2-3713.php
And yes it have dualtouch.correct me if im wrong
"Multi touch input method"
Guess they do have it
it is no x10 it is just named:
"xperia mini pro"
and it has natively android gingerbread (2.3.x) installed.
You will also not be able to install any of the custom roms provided in this forum. it is a completely new mobile phone with other hardware named similar but not the same
And I can not await it!!
thanks for all your answers guys can always count on you. sorry if i posted this in the wrong forum its kind of a jungle in here when you are a noob
PLEASE move this if it is posted the wrong place
