I want to make sure I understand. In order to use netfkix on the flyer someone has to make a custom installer? I am not finding it in the market I am assuming it is a resolution problem. Thanks.

Yes and no. Supposedly Netflix is trying out their app on each individual device before approving its use on said device. That's why so few devices are supported right now. There are hacked versions which should work on any device and you could try one of those (no idea where you could get them though). There's also the question of whether the app was properly written to adjust to different screen sizes but hopefully that's not an issue.

Official Netflix app gives you audio but no video
Although the official Netflix app works on my Original Driod, all I get on my Flyer is audio. I can search and modify the queue but that's it so far.

Hmmm, There doesn't seem to be a font problem with my Flyer.
The new Market app works fine here.
The only thing that looks weird is the first screen which looks like it is missing some boxes but this could also be intentional as the interface works as expected.
Much better compared to the old Market IMHO.

New market worked fine for me but was slower than the stock market so I reverted back to stock.

Hey all,
Primary phone is a Sensation and I bought the new Captain America game yesterday. It has some pretty glaring graphic glitches due to the Qhd screen I'm guessing so I wanted to give it a whirl on my rooted MT4G. One issue... it is NOT showing in the Market when I search on that phone. I can go to the link directly, then it shows up but with no INSTALL button.
Ideas? Could they be blocking installations for rooted devices or maybe it's simply incompatible with the MT4G? I know it's not listed as a tested device on the description, but then again neither is the Sensation, but it still downloads and runs it just with "issues". Not a huge issue, just curious if anyone has any ideas or experienced the same?
not sure if its because its rooted.. it says its incompatible with my device as well, but the Nexus One is a compatible device and glacier is a hell of a lot more powerful than the N1..

Working great on my CM7 Glacier and Asus TF101 running 3.2 rooted.
I didn't see it with RG 2.1 but after flashing RG 3.0 it became available on the Market
Is the game fun like gameplay I kno ya said the controls are weird but what about the overall gameplay

Before I changed to Honeycomb I bought Asphalt6 Nova2. Both games now don't work with honeycomb. Any solutions?

Are you able to side load them? Build.prop edits may help. Also curious if order and chaos works after upgrade. If not it will be like HTC gave me a nice new car but took a dump on the drivers seat

LOL! awesome metaphor. HTC isn't giving Honeycomb just yet. Maybe by the time the do release the official version, they will get these games to work. Also, the Devs here seem to be great at detailing your new ride. Give them time and I am sure they will get the poop out and hang a pine scented air freshener.

Since the Flyer is not on the Gameloft supported devices list one has to make sure to buy games compatible with the Flyer's US cousin Evo View 4G. Asphalt 6 HD 3.01 works great on the Flyer under HC, Nova 2 FC's after the video introduction unfortunately.
Well when you goto gamelofts website on your device it shows it as the evo view and shows you a list of games that are compatable with "your" device....
That said I don't think this is HTC's fault... see my rant about gameloft here

Since finding the app I have watched 3 movies and 3 episodes of dexter from the most recent serries. I am using the free trail of v player as it appears to support the most formats. Will likely pay the $5 for full version if I do not find a better replacement. Some streams don't work, some are choppy, but all in all the amount of content is amazing.
Maybe there are better options out there that do the same, but for me this has quickly become my favorite must have app
Anyone know what happened to the app for the View in the market? I upgraded to HC, then back to GB and during that time it vanished! Can anyone provide the apk? Thanks

I think they removed it from the market for piracy reasons. It reads its info from icefilms. I love that site between that one and mrbrownee70 I don't need cable TV. Since most of the links are megavideo links you can just use megastream and click the link from the browser on the main site and it will stream the video for you.

I've been using this with several different media players over the past few days. When I launch it, it plays the 1st video with no problem. If the 1st video is interrupted or finishes and I move on to a second, it always says the video file cannot be played. I figured out that if I toggle the wifi off and back on again that it will play the next file on a consistent basis.
Does this make any kind of sense as to why this is necessary?
When it's working properly the app is awesome.
It is a bit tempermental. Part of the issues comes from problems with megaupload

Most links are gone. There is some stuff left but it is diminished greatly. Still nice to have and I am sure over time it will repopulate, but mu being closed down was a gigantic hit. It is also a scary foreshadow of things to come.

I see there are fewer links... but none of them seem to load with the app anymore, so I assume the app was limited to accessing MU only?

I loved this but gave up on It when I noticed nothing was working. But today I decided to Google why and found this this. While there aren't nearly as many movies/shows/ect like there was when I first discovered the application, I'm pleasantly surprised on the improved functionality and smoothness of how everything plays. Also when loading a link up. It would sometimes take over a minute before it would begin, now its just a few seconds.

I have only been able to get video up by opening the streaming link via browser. However, it was too laggy even on a good WiFi connection to make it watchable. Not sure why. I tried it in 2 different browsers with no real luck.
The app is disappointing. Amount of compatible devices is really weak. I emailed them a few times and all they said was "There are too many Android devices and we can't test them all" which is really just a load of bull. Plenty of video apps out there that run on tablets, phones, etc. without issue.
Too bad considering the Flyer is a great size screen for streaming that type of stuff.
hate to say it but the stream works well on my iphone.... yuck. atleast I was able to get a free account
