Theme Creator - Galaxy 3 Themes and Apps

Hello all,
I just found, on the forum of xda-developers, a theme creator for Android!
Now I was wondering if it would work for our phone!
Link to thread: click!
In the thread stands that it would work with most android devices! (hopefully ours is included!)
I've got no time to test it right now... maybe this evening!

It's not a theme creator but a theme kitchen !
I tried it there for a moment and it doesn't work totally.
You can only have framework files. BUT, twframework files are in the framework.
If you add others files, your framework doesn't work.

Sooo.......... in 2 words: doesn't work?

Doesn't work TOTALLY !

Thanks for the link, it works, not totally but it works
I changed Satus bar, Battery icons, Bootanimation (Change resolution !), and some other things...

Really? That's awesome! I thought it would not work! Thank you for your feedback!

No problem, I just want to say that we can change animations in the theme and that is awesome ! We can choose Rudolf Animations

Thanks man!

clarkkov said:
It's a cool kitchen, but all of this can be done manually with greater control. Animations are from SGS and coincidentally work in SG3 (they are not Rudolf's animations). You can put them in any theme manually, too. Just unpack the framework folder and replace the files in /res/anim/ folder.

if your talking about the one i gave out..
Just letting you know i did not use sgs animations!

tnx man

I retryed the kitchen, all works ( I didn't test Font )
Just StatusBar is just transparent when the phone is in lockscreen and in applications
Thanks Again for it
A sample if you want to see ( Flash With CWM )
It's a modified Kyrillos V5.7 Framework, all credit to him of course, I hope I've the right to give you this link .

This should do the trick http://uot.dakra.lt/ You just upload the relevant files to your rom, works with everything, it takes you through everything.

All things except lockscreen worked from the UOT kitchen.. but before doing kitchen use your own firmware framework files rather than attached ones ...
For transparent status bar ur launcher should support the transparency...
Btw golauncher and laucherpro doesnt support status bar transparency....

Did every step (first the quick statusbar and then the "dort V1" battery mod) and my notification bar has just disappeard!
Obviously I must have done something wrong. I have unlocked bootloader with .62 rooted firmware and DoomLord kernel. It was running great since i did something wrong with this...

[THEMES] Mioze7Ae's Unofficial CyanogenMod 6 (6.3.7) Theme Ports

Hi everyone,
Here are some ported themes to CM6.3.7's new framework. All themes here have been tested on the ODEX version, but should work on the deodexed version too. Flash in OpenRecovery and wipe dalvik-cache before rebooting!!!
Gingerbread
What's themed: Framework, Phone, Contacts.
Remember to set these in CyanogenMod settings:
CyanogenMod settings->User interface->Status bar->Clock color->#ffffffff
CyanogenMod settings->User interface->Date and provider->Date color->#ffffffff
CyanogenMod settings->User interface->Notifications colors->Notification ticker color->#ffffffff
Click to collapse
Download: http://www.mediafire.com/?h62ctff5xtynf2t
Revision History:
v1: Initial port. Menu popup has black text on black background, therefore unreadable.
v2: Menu popup has white text now
v3: Ported ring revamped lockscreen images from CM7.2, changed the custom app image on the lockscreen.
v4: Added Phone.apk
v5: Added Contacts.apk
GingerBlur
What's themed: Framework, Phone, Contacts.
Remember to set these in CyanogenMod settings:
CyanogenMod settings->User interface->Status bar->Clock color->#ffffffff
CyanogenMod settings->User interface->Date and provider->Date color->#ffffffff
CyanogenMod settings->User interface->Notifications colors->Notification ticker color->#ffffffff

Revision History:
v1: Initial Port. Most of it works off the bat!
v2: Ported lockscreen images from Droid X and Motoblur framework.
Ice Cream Sandwich
What's themed: Framework, Phone, Contacts
This took a little while as I had to play around with the drawable/*.xml and value/*.xml files to get the right effects in the original theme.
Download: http://www.mediafire.com/?5bkaa90r1pw3mpc
There are quite a few CyanogenMod settings that you need to set, so I've simply uploaded the theme.xml file I created:
View attachment 983442
Just rename it from ics.txt to ics.xml and place it in /sdcard/CMTheme. Then apply it through CyanogenMod Settings > User Interface > Tweaks extras > Select a theme
Revision History:
v1: Themed framework-res, Phone, Contacts. Modified horizontal progress bars, checkmark and radio button backgrounds.
ICE9 by jasonevil
All credit goes to jasonevil for his magnificent custom ICS theme, and thanks to him for letting me port it our phone:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1327602
What's themed: Framework, Phone, Contacts.
Cherry picked ring lockscreen from CM7.2
Blue button text
A few cherry picked assets from the ICS for Milaq's CM6.3.5, since they were not present in this theme
Download: http://www.mediafire.com/?pom8wcz64cltd8q
Please apply this CMTheme.xml in CyanogenMod settings to get the blue text in the notification area/status bar: View attachment 1005379
Revision History:
v1: Initial port. Lots of xml and .9 changes!
Undo.zip
All my themes push various apks and fonts to the system, so this undo zip just replaces any possible changed apks and fonts with the default ones from CM6. This just saves you the time and effort of reflashing CM6 entirely, in case you've done some mods to your system partition (like I do )
Download: http://www.mediafire.com/?qvus5c1fczcvcfx
Revision History:
v1: Replaces all system fonts, framework-res.apk, Phone.apk, Contacts.apk
Themes that I want to port:
Minimal Matte - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=726912
Androidian/Honeycomb - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=948109
Oh man! Thanks a lot! With this CM6 of Mz is perfect in all side! Performance and Beauty!

Sent from my Milestone XT720 using XDA
Oh sweet ! Thanks man , this is great to have a thread with a collection of theme for cm6 . Would like to try the ics theme but for now , I'll try the gingerbread one first . FYI , DarkFroyo theme is coming
---------- Post added at 05:01 AM ---------- Previous post was at 04:46 AM ----------
Just a small suggestion , when you're porting ics theme to cm6 , maybe you can use this boot animation (cm9) , I'm currently running this as my boot animation .
---------- Post added at 05:06 AM ---------- Previous post was at 05:01 AM ----------
Oops...help pls...I'm having a bootloop after flashing the gingerbread theme I wipe dalvik-cache > wipe cache > flash > wipe dalvik-cache > wipe cache > reboot , is there something wrong ? lol this is my first time having bootloop what should I do ?

Pull battery. Put battery back and power on, push and hold volume up key until you enter open recovery. Reflash CM 6.3.7&gapps, wipe dalvik-cache, reboot.
Glad you guys beat me to it! Lol. Looking forward to some themes! Thanks everybody!
Pls make one for odex version

Sorry guys! The one I uploaded was incorrect (blame my crappy organization of directory structure haha). I thought it was fishy b/c mine flashed just fine
Bear with me as I learn how to theme, this is only my second working one heh. It still has a few bugs to be ironed out (the most noticeable one is the menu).
Just to confirm, this is for the ODEX version. It's attached to this post. I'll try to update the OP!
Update: Please download v2, which has black text on menus fixed!
It looks like you're only theming framework-res.apk & since there is no .odex for that I think it should work on either the odexed or deodexed version. (I THINK)
I would love to do some theming too =) , is there any nice tutorial where I can learn about this ?
I updated the OP with v5 of the Gingerbread theme. I think it's pretty much complete now, unless there are outstanding issues. Please let me know how it is!
The ICS theme made for Milaq's CM6 is extremely slow for some reason...I'll play around with it some more this week.
An easier one to adapt first is GingerBlur...more on that later
I've added GingerBlur to the OP Check it out, and let me know if there are broken parts!
It's a nice change from black Gingerbread and ICS
Hi Molohov! Nice work! I'd like to suggest putting little numbers into the battery icons to show the battery percentage because its annoying not being able to see it (CM's font is too big for my liking). Oh, and do you have the CRT animation version of the odexed 6.3.7?

Which theme did you want the 10% battery icons on? It may require a metamorph script to do efficiently on all the themes.
I haven't compiled a CRT animation version of 6.3.7. The bug with the screen not turning off completely really frustrates me, but I haven't had time to really go in depth with it. I'll try compiling a version this weekend, just for you

Missing slide unlocker graphics
Hi molohov,
I am quite happy with your themes. btw, i noticed some of the slide unlock styles are missing (eg rotary) in gingerblur at least. I hope you can add it because it is my favorite. ^^
I hope we can have more themes.
By the way, this is too much to ask, but could you post some tutorial how to make a very simple theme. I was a theme creator on sony psp and released some of my works in public. This way i might be able to help creating more themes. thanks a lot.

[MOD] No Clock on Status Bar

For an unknown reason the file was deleted from Google Drive and to make things even worse I don't have this mod on my PC anymore...so if anyone has the file please re-upload it to: zippyshare, mediafire, google drive I don't really care, whatever crosses your minds and I'll update this OP with the new link. Thank you very much.
Please test and report
This is a modded SystemUI.apk. It is for mySENSEdx RC3.0. It has the Lidroid panel (Sense 4 Themed) and no clock near battery. You can still see the clock by tapping the status bar.
Thanks to:
xpirt (for all his help and patience in teaching me how to correctly decompile apks)
dfuse06 (It is him who made a tutorial for HTC One X)
ckpv5 (for mySENSEdx)
xpirt (for Lidroid Panel for DX)
The SystemUI.apk works only on:mySENSEdx+ RC3.0
(Sense 4+ with Android version 4.1.2) I guess you could test it on other Sense 4 based ROMs but I doubt it'll work...

Good job Mihai!
Now you learned how to decompile and recompile an apk you can try to make some other mods searching tutorials on xda.
For example change clock color, center it, insert a custom name/image in the left side of statusbar, edit statusbar_expanded and rearrange clock/date position. There are a lot of SystemUI tutorials here on xda from which you can start learning
