hai friends,
how to intall stock rom in a custem rom phone?
Hence the rule : always take a nand backup between different roms. If you go back a few pages in the general section you will find a nand backup of the stock rom.

ok
but if i want to remove completely(means remove recovery and rom)
what is the method for that purpose?
Is it done by lg kdz updator tool
Use kdz update only as a last resort! It can be dangerous.
For your problem, first restore the nand backup. Then in the development section, there is a thread by ciaox that has flashable zips of all recoveries, including the original recovery. You can flash this zip and your recovery will be restored to the stock one.

KDZ transfers data in realtime from your PC to your phone SO if something goes wrong with your PC (it crashes, freezes, power surge etc) you get a bricked device which can be unbricked in very rare cases.
It's easy to use but very very dangerous.

If you flash the zip 'Original_recovery_thunderg.zip' (or something similar) then yes your custom recovery will be removed and it will get reverted to stock recovery.

openOptimus is a very stable and fast ROM; I'm very pleased with it. Works very fine with francisco v13.3 kernel and the battery life is pretty good.
@zalman: did you wipe everything before installing the new rom? By that I mean data, cache, dalvik, system.

Can not any one make rom for stock as we buy it?
making a rom is a tedious process, i sugget u use kdz update or just forget it
If you read the post I linked, you'll see that you can download the stock rom. Then just look for the flashing original rom thread in Developers area. Can't search it now since I'm on phone.

But hav to flash using kdz firmware updater and i want to flash it like we flash custom rom
Sent from my LG-P500 using XDA Premium App
This cannot be done via recovery. Because after booting root will be there. And so will superuser app.
Only way via recovery is to restore Nand of your official rom and then unroot it. Ask anybody to give you a Nand backup of official rom if you didn't make it. Now this wouldn't be hasslefree for others to give you a Nand backup because it contains their private info also like contacts, messages also. So best way is via kdz. But you can keep asking for a Nand backup.
Another is hidden in first reply post I gave you.
1. Void + sapps = official rom
2. Now unroot it via the application you rooted your phone. In my case it was z4root.
3. After unrooting uninstall the root application.
4. Now your phone has official rom.
You can include a few other bloatware before unrooting to match perfectly.
You may copy via root explorer. Copy to system/apps and set permissions as rw, r,r.
This is an innovative way. So I told you three ways.
1. Kdz
2. Nand restore of official rom
3. The above mentioned innovative way.

it is not possible...you will surely brick your device or you may end up with a fastboot scenario be careful before trying anything.oh and by the way KDZ is way too dangerous if any thing goes wrong you will surely have a beautiful brick on your desk.
nand back-up before custom recovery
Slight OT question here.... Is it possible to make a nand back-up before installing custom recovery? If it is possible, please post instructions or the link to the instructions here
Thanks

I have been using CyanogenMod-7.1.0-RC1-Cooper-KANG for more than 1 week now. I had created a Back-Up of the stock rom before flashing the CM7 with Clockwork Mod. Today I tried to restore the original stock rom directly. I did it with the same Clockwork Mod. It showed that it restored successfully, but when I clicked Reboot Phone, it did reboot but stuck at the screen "Galaxy Ace -Samsung".
What shall I do to get rid of this? Can I flash "CyanogenMod-7.1.0-RC1-Cooper-KANG" with the help of ODIN directly into the phone? Please help

well, i want to install the unity v9 kernel on my rooted phone running virtuous unity. in case something goes wrong with this kernel, i want to be able to remove it. but since you say you can only change it, how can i revert back (or change) to the kernel i had previously on my rom?
Make a nandroid backup so if you want to revert to your previous setup just restore the backup. You could also download the original kernel that came with your rom so you can flash back.

What are you wanting to adjust? The only way to adjust a kernel is ti do it when its compiled from source code.
You cant remove a Kernel. You can ONLY change it.
Make a nandroid backup of your current kernel and flash a new kernel. If anything goes wrong just revert it.

If i remove my kernel how work my arc s ?
Flashing the rom over itself (without wiping data) will keep your user apps intact and restore the kernel that came with the rom.
In the future it's a good idea to do a backup any time you flash a new rom or kernel. You can always delete old backups to save space.

Take the ROM you originally downloaded and use 7zip to extract the contents. Inside here you should find the kernel (boot.img) but not always in .img format so if you don't see it let me know.
Then use fastboot to flash this kernel to your phone, more info on that here

Sure if there is a recovery flashable .zip out there, you'll have to search for one or create your own. If you search my other threads i have one on creating flashable .zips but it will be more work than just flashing in fastboot.
Let me know if you need a hand either way

Yes i have ClockWork Recoveries that i manually named so i know what rom is what rom at any point i can switch to and from any backup and access whichever version i choose at a moments notice in my opinion you MUST rename them because you know the default name is something like "2012 08.04-12:34:26" just fully remane it so you know what it is!
Its ok to rename in rom manager before you make a backup, but never rename the backup file on a PC and then flash the file, it wont work
