Hi i recently bought defy iam frm india,i wondered that when i will update to 2.2, 2.2 is released in india it says but when i go to settings,phone, updates, it says update facility is not available, what is the reason and how i.should update my defy to 2.2, i tried to root, with z4 root and one click root but it dont work,pls help.me i want to update my device as quickly as possible.

2.2 upgrade in india isn't OTA so u wont get it wireless...

Hey guys.
I have a a P500 bought from a NZ retailer but parallel imported. I have discovered it has Singapore firmware. I have updated to 2.2.2 but want to downgrade to 2.2 (V10B) so I can root and uninstall bloatware. Using the links provided there is no download for V10B and only for V10A. Is there a huge difference? Can I use another country that will work the same?
It says it is on the vodafone network. If I used the telecom firmware, what would happen?

its fine, if u flash a wrong rom, try flashing another one.. ur version should be under V10C i think. Ur call function might screw up, but i think if u flash a custom rom it will be solved

hmm yea I wanted to flash the singapore 2.2 rom but it just gives page not found. Is there a way to find the roms that aren't downloadable from that lg link.

No leaked version for India yet, Official one isn't released yet. But I believe it's almost there. Just wait a bit more.

Install the LG Mobile Support tool. There was a nice tutorial to check ot the latest firmware, but the method has some problems and the thread was abandoned for 8 or 9 months now.

Hi good day.. I have a question here, I bought my Galaxy sII in asia and i am currently in europe right now i am using samsung keys to update my phone for an official 4.0 update. We all know that ICS is released here in europe earlier taht other continents, my question is can i update my phone here eventhough i bought it in asia without having any problems with the phone itself.. Updates comes from phone codes only. Asia phone updates when Asia updates.

I have a Razr xt910 which I bought from Egypt and when I try to find if I'm going to get the JB update I cannot find my phone listed so it appears that it's imported from different country (whatever, long story )
my problem is that I need to get the official update but I think my version was from those countries Motorola decided to punish them for buying their device, so any way to get it?!

The version you are now is the middle east version.The official update which is released yesterday is for Verizon only,but it will also come to Europe,France and Germany soon,so you will not get the update. But you can flash the EU version via RSD Lite
