Market Download Unsuccessful - HTC Flyer, EVO View 4G

At about day 5 with my Flyer, I can no longer download apps from the Market, either updates or new purchases. Tried clearing the cache on the market app, reboot, etc.
Anybody else having this problem? Any recommendations?

I had this problem on day 1 of having my flyer. Only way I fixed it was by doing a factory reset. When I did though, my flyer froze up for like 15 minutes then rebooted. When it came back on, all my apps I had prior to the factory reset were still on there and my market was working again.

I did the factory reset and Market downloads now work fine. Having issues with "current location" but that's a new problem.
Thank you for the tip.

same problem here, when i attempt to download an app it starts and then disappears right away, going to attempt a hard reset now via hardware as opposed to going through the settings, is there a difference there?

All i've had to do was force stop market, clear it. Reboot, works fine.

same thing happens on mine. Even if I reset it eventually happens again.

I have just got this problem as well >< how can we report bugs to HTC?

good question

I too am experiencing this. Third factory reset tonight... the only variable I can find, at least in my case, is the "spare parts" app trick to force apps to full screen somehow breaks the market.

I am on my fifth reboot and I am really getting upset

You know, I had this problem too and after a few resets and going crazy with it, when going through the set up screens again I unchecked the back up data box (I think that is what it said).
After doing this I have had no more probs other than having to do a lengthy manual rebuild of my app list. May have just been a fluke but it worked for me...

had this problem last night. force close, clear cache and a reboot made it go away. Now i'm a bit worried that it will come back and not go away so easily.

I cant get the notification to go away, or get it to actually authorize. Anyone found a fix? Stock htc amaze, just got it today. Facebook works and all but notification is annoying.

Which authorization? I'm trying to follow what you're asking.
Have you tried restarting the phone?
When i first started my phone out of the box today, i logged in to facebook to sync contacts. I got a notification saying
"Authorize htc sense to access facebook". I tried many times and it says sense failed. I cant remove the notification now.

Try this, restarting the phone first.
If it's still there go into
settings>applications>manage applications>facebook for HTC sense>clear data
Restart again just to be on the safe side.
Then log back in.
Let me know how it goes bro.
Tried that, and didnt log back into facebook but notification is still there

If you just got your phone and don't mind wiping data how about a factory reset?
yeah I'm going to try that, but I'm afraid as soon as it boots up it will ask for it again. It asks for it when I add and remove synced accounts too. I have no idea. I'm surprised nobody else has had this issue so far.
well i reset the phone, as soon as I tried to add facebook account to my sync list (not the facebook app), it did it again, asking for authorization and now it's sitting in notifications again.

I honestly don't know what the deal could be. Sorry to hear you're having such bad luck with it.
Reboot, clearing data and a reset still didn't help.
I'm all out of ideas bro.
So tmo tech support has no clue and they're supposed to call me tomorrow with a resolution...this should be good.

Well let me know what they say. =/
Nothing from tmo yet, but task manager ending the Facebook for sense removes the notification, but after reboot it comes back, so if nobody else is apparently having this issue, I'll return the phone for a new one.

I had the issue. you have to hit the notification and wait. Do it before bed or something with the phone plugged in, eventually it will time out. I did this a couple of times and it went away. Also, Check your apps on facebook from your desktop, if HTC sense is already authorized, try removing it, then allowing the mobile app to re add it. If you go that route, I'd clear all data from facebook and uninstall the app (it's seperate from facebook for sense) and then deactivate the sense app from your facebook on the desktop before you readd your facebook account to the facebook for sense, then download the full facebook app. I'm getting sick of everything trying to incorperate facebook into my life.
^ Thanks man, you gave ne the idea of looking at the apps setting in facebook, and sure enough, i had platform apps turned off. I turned it on, and tried the authorization again, and voila! it's gone!

Authorize HTC Sense
Did you ever get this resolved? I have the same problem. The Facebook app seems to work fine but I get the Authorize HTC Sense error in the notification bar. When I click on it, I get "error occured with HTC Sense, please try again later".
Read two posts above you. Ugh

[Q] Grr, had to restore to factory, why?

After using an app called TS 2 which encrypts photos and videos, my Allstream began bootlooping. It would get to the Sense touchscreen, and as soon as i pulled the ring up, boot loop began. What was the possible cause of this ?
Also, I've been spending the last2 hours getting my tablet back to normal.thankfully, all my music and data is backed up online w google or Picasa or etc.
Related question:
Though, like my synergy Rom on EVO, is there a way to enable the jetstream to automatically Download all the apps again when a flash or restore occurs? Is root needed for that?
If you checked Google to backup your apps, your apps should reinstall minus the data.

Ok. Really unhappy now. I rebooted my device after spending hours yesterday restoring it and it is still bootlooping after a factory reset. When I pull the lockscreen run, it crashes and reboots. Please help.
Possible causes?
possible fixes?

is there a chance your issue is related to that thread?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1306673
i never had bootloops myself, so i cant quite help. sorrys.
I'm unsure. I was on WiFi when it happened. I don't know of that makes a difference. Also, I had screen rotation off, so I was unable to rotate to check.
Could this glitch be fixed with root?

Also, my jetstream does not bootloop on its own. It only happens once I tell the device to reboot.
I'm afraid to reboot it now lol. It's done it twice and the hours I've out in to restoring it is not cool.
I need nandrioid!!

Some market updated or installed apps automatically go to the end of the list.
I get the same thing occasionally. Reboot should fix it, and you may need to restart twice. But then it still comes back that way from time to time.

Thinking of taking back my S3 due to force closes??

I've been getting too many force closes with my S3... It happens with many apps and sometimes it just gets stuck for like two minutes which I can't do anything until it comes back. Have you guys had any issues? I don't know weather to take it back or do a factory data reset...

Sounds like something you installed is causing it. Factory reset it. Force Closes are typically software related.
Its happened to me a couple of times as well on the gallery and tapatalk 2 app. It is few and far between so it doesn't affect me too much.

OK. I'm going to delete some apps that I don't use and restart. Maybe it's one of those... If not, I'll factory reset it.

I currently get on XDA through my app right now...just searching for a thread listing forever...and if I hit the profile option it force closes.
Worked fine for the last week but nothing now!
Happens to me a lot when running touchwiz launcher I am now using apex and have had zero crashes. Although with android its like windows you will get force close just like windows gets blue screens its just one feature of owning an android phone but it rocks.

I used to have this problem on my OG Incredible, (haven't yet had it on my S3) and I would usually solve it by uninstalling/re-installing or clearing data on the apps that would force close. If every app is FCing though then it may just be easier to Factory Reset.

Browser problems.

So I have been having problems with the build in browser. Some times it will just lock up.
I type in an address and hit enter and it will just sit there tying to look the page and never does. If I close out the browser and open it again. I then have to retype the address and then it goes right to it.
Also sometimes it won't let me click anything on the page and I will have to close the browser out and reopen it for it to work. Reloading the page doesn't work.
Gotta close it and reopen it.
Anyone have this problem and fix it?

I've had this problem, but I have no idea how it fixed itself. It hasn't happened to me in awhile, but I went in a couple times and cleared data for the app. Maybe that helped?

That seem to do the trick. I used a bookmark backup and then clear data and restored bookmarks.

Spoke to soon. It's back to it's old ways of locking up.

Try disabling javascript and/or flash. Limits the browsers ability a little but may make it much more stable.
