I havent seen this yet but if it is, im terribly sorry for the re-post. Ive seen that the Xoom has a live wallpaper/battery gauge called MyWater. I want it sooo bad but cant seem to find it available for the vibrant. Theres gotta be an amazing dev around here that can port it to us. That would be great! If anyone can help, it would be greatly appreciated =]
this does look really nice, i would definitely like to know also if anyone can find it - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S-280J2FpOw

Me too! +1
It requires Honeycomb and a tablet screen, I would guess.
Would be nice if someone ported it, though, reducing the resolution of the graphics and everything.
Installed fine on my cm7 vibrant but fc when I use it

yeah i have no problem installing the one from xoom/asus tablets but the water line and ice just show up as white blocks
Can this be ported over? it would be sweet

I have this on my incredible and its super fast. Feels very lite. It is a 2.2 aosp rom, so I'm thinking, easy on system resources. So I'm wondering if this could be useable on the eris. Would be nice.
Check it out...
Here is a video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Or-9T44Bt7M&feature=player_embedded

Possible, but impractical. Since the incredible has an hdpi screen, and the eris has mdpi, every single graphic has to be manually resized. It's possible, but it would be a nightmare. Maybe someday an automated solution will be created. That would rock!
Not gonna lie, that UI looks pretty legit. I would defiantly flash if someone ported it.
Yeah, that's got a really nifty UI... I want.
I would love to have this ported too...At first they said it worked on Desire but I thought they meant the desire that resembles the eris. I am almost tempted to go with a desire just so i can root and try out that rom...lol.
I've been drooling over this rom the past couple days. I rooted my buddy's dinc and was checking out roms for him and saw this one. It would be SAWEEEEET!!
Not that I have any idea what I'm talking about when it comes to porting (like at all), but could something like this be of any help? -> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=785864
it could be ported alot easier if the res on the screens was the same as ours, if the made that for the legend we would get it but most likely it wont happen. :/

Go to the incredible forums or the nexus one forums its being distributed there. I didn't think it would be that difficult given that my favorite 2.2 eris rom cyanogen tazz was ported from a nexus one build.
I'm running this on my incredible now. Its marvelous. It works better than sense running live wallpapers. No lag at all. It should run exceptionally good in the eris. Some one start a donation drive for someone who can port it.
Sent from my Incredible using Tapatalk
cyanogenTazz wasnt ported from the nexus one, it was from the hero or the g1 i dont excatly remember but not fromt he nexus one
Oh yea! My bad. Kaosfroyo I think was ported from n1

I was just in the Legend forum and somebody has ported the HTC Wildfire's froyo with sense. It boots up but is not fully working yet. But it looks like the light at the end of the tunnel is getting a little brighter
Edit - Oops, I just realized this isn't where I wanted to post this lol, sorry!

Thanks.

Nope, KaosFroyo is definitely built from source by Kaos, specifically for eris. I think maybe v1 used code from the N1 dump, but there's really never been a functional eris rom ported from an HDPI device like you guys are asking for. People just don't do it.
I want it NOW!
Wow that UI is insane I want it. If anyone decides to port it or try ill add to donation

I was wondering if there are any sense roms for the vibrant, if so can you someone please direct me? I check but couldn't find any. Thank you
nope, a launcher pro sense theme, but no functioning roms. There was one a few months ago in the works but it fizzled out
That sucks. Thanks for the response.
There kinda is one, but it's still in a very alpha stage, with things then breaking constantly.

flipnotiq - I found one and a launcher with similar widgets. thank you
I don't have a link, but it's at the very tail end of the galaxy sense thread in the Dec section. I haven't personally seen the thread pop up in about a well or so, but I know it's using a gb sense leak, on top of some CM7 parts and that some of the drawing features of sense don't work.
If you don't know how to debug your phone, when most common tools are useless then don't even bother with it.

Yeah I googled it and it looks like a lost cause. Guess I should have done that first. Still there are some nice roms out there for the sgs. Thanks

Yeah that sucks. I just picked the phone up yesterday, rooted it and started playing around. Not a whole lot if time reading up on these particulars. Still some nice smooth roms though and I'm glad I could amuse you.

Is there any way someone can make a mod for screen rotation? Or at least point me in the right direction? Something that's smoother and has more of an animation, more like the Omnia or iPhone? I know you devs are working hard on a LOT of roms right now for the thunderbolt. Thanks, again.

I would like to see this too. I've been jealous of my wife's Droid X animation.
Sent from my ADR6400L using XDA App
I second this, I thought it was just a stock Gingerbread thing but I guess not? Which is funny because the CRT animation is stock on the Nexus phones, but didn't come with Droid X 2.3 lol so its like each side is missing something.
If someone could put this in though I would be infinitely happier. Quite frankly I am shocked that Cyanogenmod doesn't have it already.
+1
I have to wonder why they only included it in honeycomb??

Somewhere around the 4:00 mark or so you can see it. All Motorola Gingerbread builds have it, and it must be in there somewhere to port over.
Anyone?

Hey guys, basically I'm here to ask what kinda roms most users of the Thunderbolt like to use. I been playing with an idea to do something for yall. I don't have a Thunderbolt though so it wouldn't be anything sharp like ICS. I would probably want to do something based off of yalls OTA just to sort of get the feel for things first. I've did about 8 roms for the HTC Droid Incredible so I could kinda find my way without to much help I guess.
Anyways, I'm not sure if I will or not. i just wanted to see what yall think first.
I'll put in a poll to help decide.
well the answer to will I work on this device is starting to look pretty much answered, lol. We'll see though.

Thats a good concept. I just wouldn't want to put to much effort into something that I would never get to see or use my self especially if others here don't really want it. But I'm just gonna leave this open for a little while longer. Who knows, maybe I'll get a hundred votes tonight, lol
one thing that absolutely kills a rom for me is if I am unable to change apn settings
this is because I need to change them for mms to work on my carrier (cricket). If I cant change em, i cant use the rom. That is one thing i liked across yours and jermaines roms.
I knew instantly when i got my dinc I was a sense fan (in my opinion its way better than aosp interface) but as sense versions got higher 2.0 2.5. 3.0......... It really slowed my phone down compared to aosp roms...................... and then i found the minimalist roms............. and i was in heaven
so make a minimalist sense rom............... lol
I got rid of my inc before i found your roms but have been loading them on my friends inc, and i can say that they were smooth for me. Wouldn't mind dropping one of yours on my thunderbolt. After you figure your way around maybe a possible sense 3.5 rom! Just saying that'd be great. haha
I really like gingeritis3d by chingy510.. He has slowed down on his development do to school though.
What I like about his rom is that it is 2.1 based. 2.1 roms run alot better on my tb. He has added the 3d carrousel which I think most people look for and he incorporated the sexy smooth rosie that was developed by someone else here on xda.
The rom could benefit with more tweaks options, like 4g toggle and more quick settings. just my 2 cents. Thanks for your interest in deving for the bolt!
I personally use liquid gingerbread, its fast, light, and highly customizable. Please please please stay away from sense 3.5.
I know ill get flamed but please include the music player with beats Some people like that "eq" setting, and if they don't like it they don't have to use it.
Second the above post not a fan of sense 3.5

trebuchet is the stock launcher for CM9.
It was built by the CM team specifically for CM9.
It looks just like the stock ICS launcher so idk what you're complaining about.

His point was somewhat misdirected (at Trebuchet) when in fact it's how Google does ICS for tablets. They dont feel it's necessary to have an app-launch bar, notification pulldown, etc. I totally agree with this decision. A tablet experience should be different, but still with the same overall feel. I think it's perfect.

Woah, nice.. Excited!
Why does every Android device I've ever used seem to lag opening the app drawer? I've tried almost every 3rd-party launcher, lots of custom and stock roms and phones and tablets, and they all seem to hiccup, at least a little, opening the app drawer. I only comment because I noticed it in the CM9 video for the 10.1 and the Touchpad, despite both having excellent hardware.
So strange, I had hoped ICS would put this to rest once and for all.
(This, of course, does not in any way speak to this team's efforts to bring ICS to the Touchpad, for which I am ever grateful!)
That accent is so sexy.

Good question. Using VTL.Launcher my TP does stutter a bit on the drawer animation (not on any other animations though), but on my phone (Epic 4g) it does not stutter at all.
I'm not really fond of that type of animation anyway, so disabling it eliminates the problem.
Please post threads like this in the General section. The development fora are meant for development topics only.
Load up Nova Launcher on the TP, see if it's any better.
I'm pretty stoked about this. Hopefully we're gonna get a surprise tonight or very soon....
