I have problem with the Music Mod of all the custom roms. Whenever I put headphones on, the party shuffle gets activated automatically keeps shuffling the songs. If I turn off party shuffle it gets activated automatically again within few seconds.
If you are getting that problem then try using a 3rd party app such as double twist maybe on that you will be able to turn shuffle off.
it happen to me also
Well in that case that sounds like a bug in the roms, you should report that to the devs.
Having the same issue with my Inspire 4g with CM7 GB2.3.7.

Ok, this one is a bit WEIRD.
Just went out to the trail, and I loaded Endomondo (wanted to check it out), and then I started playing an album in the stock HTC music app. I lock the screen and put the phone in my pocket, start running, and bam...the song skips to the next one. And then the next one, and the next, etc.
I take the phone out, screen is unlocked, Voice Dialer is on screen, Subsonic and Google Music app loaded as well, and my phone started dialing the last person I spoke to.
I close all of the apps, and try again. As soon as I start running, and consequently start shaking the phone on my pocket, the same thing happens. A battery pull stopped this behavior, but I was able to reproduce it again when I got home, just by playing a song, locking the screen, and gently shaking the phone.
Anyone else experience any similar issues?
EDIT: Just to mention that I am able to reproduce a similar thing with ANY music app. In most cases, the playback stops and the Voice Dialer is on screen.
EDIT 2: Looks like I'm not the only one: http://androidforums.com/htc-evo-3d/364209-head-phones-causing-songs-fast-fwd-skip.html
EDIT 3: I think I figured it out. Sometimes, when I plug the headphones in, the phone detects it as a HEADSET. /sigh
Should I take this thing back?
dsp

Yep same problem here... Be sure to report the issue to HTC

I had the same exact issue after I installed Google Music. The only fixes I found were to manage to get to the task manager and kill everything. Also, I noticed that if I plugged my auxiliary cable in halfway the headset icon with the mic would appear, but when I push it in all the way the headset icon would appear without the mic and the problem would be gone.
I've been having a similar issue, although it hasnt opened the voice recorder when my phone is in my pocket sometimes the song will skip around, sometimes it will skip to the next song.. it's odd. I think it's more of a software glitch than anything..
Anyone else experience this? I have had it on FM radio, Music player and Google Listen, they just randomly stop for no reason. I had a similar issue on a Desire S so might be a 2.3 issue
Yeah if you have motion turned on, the FM radio and other music functions will turn off when you turn the phone over. Simply go into Settings, choose Motion and make sure the option called Turn Over is unchecked if you don't like the feature. I personally don't like it myself as my phone moves around a lot while listening. If that function is not checked, then you may have a problem with your phone. My guess is that its turned on though. I turn off all motion as I find it may chew the battery a little more plus I never use any of the tilt or panning features
Hi,
Can someone please help me out here? Whenever I listen to music, my sound will shut down when i turn off my screen or try to access apps and it will go back to normal once I turn my screen back on or go back to my home screen.
This whole time I've been running JellyBeans Rom build 21 with no problems, but decided to switch to PACMAN Rom because I was sick of 4.1. I installed Viper4Android and followed every directions correctly, but the problems came up after this. It's so bad to the point where if I want to listen to music, I have to trick my phone by unplugging my headphones, play music through my phone speakers initially, then plug the my headphones back in to make it work somewhat normally. This solves the music pausing problem when I turn off my screen, but to do this every single time is ghetto and whack. I still can't access my apps without my music pausing when resorting to this method.
So today, I said, "Screw it" and went through the trouble of restoring my phone back to the factory settings and rooting again so if the problem was Viper4Android or some system issue within the phone, it would go back to normal. Sadly, no luck and the issue still exists. I even thought that I messed up on something when changing the coding in build prop manager, but I reverted back to factory settings so there shouldn't be an issue.
I've heard people had issues where their music would skip on them when they turn off their screen, but I think my problem is different.
So my question to you is: Anyone experiencing similar problems or do you think that this a hardware issue? If this is a hardware issue, I have no problems taking apart my phone and replace the earphone jack.
Well, I think I figured out the problem. My phone is rejecting Google launcher when it comes to music for some weird reason. I switched to NOVA launcher and my music works perfectly now. *sigh* I guess losing the "OK Google" command is a small price to pay for music... So my next question is, how do I make my music work with the Google launcher? It seems like I'm only experiencing this problem haha

I believe it has something to do with the voice activation. I am using Nova Launcher but am able to reproduce the bug using the Voice Search within Dolphin browser. When I have headphones plugged in and playing music, as soon as I use the voice search option, the music mutes and doesn't come back til I unplug my headphones.
EDIT: Just to try it, I used my gf's Razr M phone. Had headphones plugged in, played music. Did Google Voice Search, the music stopped also BUT after finding whatever I Voice Searched, the music resumed on its own. Maybe there is a code missing to resume the audio?
Hey everyone,
When I have my phone connected up to Bluetooth in my car I can stream music (from andrewhaug.com app) for about 5-10 minutes before the music stops. If I wake the device it will resume streaming. Has anyone experianced this behaviour? Is there any kind of setting that I need to look at?
Im running DevBase 5.9.
I have tried resetting the Bluetooth settings but to no avail.
I have noticed possible similar behavior. When using my s9 plus verizon with my 2012 infiniti g37 randomly the Bluetooth music will skip on Spotify(every couple of minutes the music I'll pause for a second almost like a skipping CD) Never experienced this with my s8 or s7. Its always been like this with my s9. Never changed any settings or bothered looking into it.
So, somewhat of an update.
Over the past week I have noticed that the music streaming only cuts out IF the app is not the main focus. What I mean by that is; the app has to be running in full screen, like any normal app, BUT, if you exit out of it to the Home screen or go into another app and then lock the phone, that is when the music stops after a certain amount of time. Even though the app has a background service running, for some reason, its not the main app in focus, it gets put to sleep/kills the resources for it.
A bit of a weird quirk. Not sure if its an Android thing or an app thing.
Put the app out of battery optimisation & allow its background activity

I have battery optimization turned off for all apps.
Another interesting issue is when I'm streaming music, a call comes through, and when its done, the music doesn't resume playing. If I resume it like normal, it then stops like the original problem.
I can restart the phone and then it doesn't have a problem.
I dont know why but every few minutes while listening to music on my v30 vs996, the music will briefly go silent and then stutter then keep playing. Does anyone have any troubleshooting method? I dont want to uninstall all of my apps. Is there a way to just disable a non built in app so I can disable apps and test to see if it stops?
Hi I have the same, when I changed option in developer option under Bluetooth Version AVRCP to 1.4 all good now.
