There is a delay going from sleep to the home screen or when you bring your phone from your ear to access it during a call. Over clocking didn't solve it.
Does anyone know of a fix?
If this has been discussed already, please post the link. I did look around but couldn't find the off topic post is saw in an other thread last week.

It's time for the xda video hurray http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JmvCpR45LKA&feature=youtube_gdata_player
Ive never seen that, its hilarious.
I never understand that complete noobs naturally know how to find the new thread button but never attempt the search feature. Way to much work to actually read the first page of the forum.

Yes, one post is enough to tell the noob to search, and no need for another 3 posters to further discuss the noob not searching.
If you want to contribute either share a fix/link or no need to up your post count with silly responses.
You just added to the useless post.
OP try turning power saving mode off and see if that helps. If your rooted you can try using setcpu and set your minimum clock to 4-500.
Search for the other threads there might be other suggestions.

So I couldn't find a solution to my problem, when I receive a picture it shows as a video. I'm running unnamed. Is there a mod or something to fix this?

I have the same problem.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I777 using Tapatalk
the only real fix to this is to use a different SMS/MMS app. i prefer GOSMS Pro, over anything else.
its just the way the stock messaging app works, only way around it is through a third party app.
Go SMS Pro is much better then the stock sms/mms app
Holy crap! I just answered this very same question in another thread maybe 5 threads above this. How many times is this going to be asked? I'm too lazy to check which thread was first and I will admit that the XDA search feature is a bit annoying to use, but for FFS! Now I see why the older members are always *****ing.
That said, I will add substance to this post. I just switched to Go SMS Pro this morning and have to second the suggestion for it. It has been working fine for MMS and they come across just as expected.
Thanks for your opinion but its not an answer but just a work around. Thanks

You're right. It's not an answer. If you don't like the stock messaging app, complain to Samsung
Sent from my HTC PH39100
No I think I would rather complain here so that devs can do something about it. Thanks though

yeah, that will get you FAR....
you could try REQUESTING it, but complaining about it will get you pretty close to nowhere.
try being nice to a dev and not be a ****.
Because your reply was so helpful? "oh u don't like your phone go tell SAMSUNG and my answer is the only solution srry " Try not being a **** first.

cool story bro.
how long before this thread gets shut down now?
Ugh, another one of these threads? Thats what the search button is there for. The stock messaging app from Samsung uses the video viewer to view all multimedia, so that includes pictures. If you want pictures to come up in the gallery, I suggest you replace the Samsung MMS.apk with the AOSP MMS.apk.
Also, calling people a **** for telling you what to do or look for (while it may not be the answer that you were looking for) is not the way to get anything around here... and it will get you an infraction/ban if kept up.
Thread closed.
It could be just my pc trying to fool me but i cant find the search button anymore
logged in at xda and searched trough sgsII threads but nowhere to be found
so is this just me or is anybody else missing the search function to.
i think i saw an error message earlier saying that they were updating the search function. i dont have it either.
SOPA took it
I think they just removed it because nobody was using it.
People just prefer to start a new thread about things that have already been answered a million times.
What's the use they said?? Let's get rid of it.

Hardy ha ha. Would have Merritt though.
Seriously, just some site maintenance. I'm having issues with the XDA app too, but expect it's related.

Title says it. Looked thoroughly and couldn't find the setting to turn it off. I've asked in the nightly thread as well.
Bump- anybody?
Was trying to find that out myself awhile ago with the s2. No answers for me either. I assume there isn't a way.

Yeah that seems to be the general consensus
"answer questions, give thanks, support the community"
Yes there is solution.
Download fluxy kernel ang fluxy app then sound and vibration then -6.
Or quiet time 9:00 am to 8:58 am.
Or your going to edit some system lines to turn it of.
Pick one.

Hi,
I'm running resurrection 2.6.1 on my sgsII with cyanogen kernel.
Recently I've been finding the phone has warmed up to a worrying temp so I remove battery &let it cool down. More recently I've been finding the phone had turned itself off, no obvious reasons I can find.
Bbs does not give me anything to go on, it seems to only have info going back maybe an hour when actually the phone has been on for 4 hours+
I've fixed permissions , cleared delvik cache to see if if helps but no.
Anyone having similar issues or found a fix?
Thanks for reading

Try to flash another modem... My phone used to get hot near the camera, but after I flashed a modem which is used from carriers in my country the temperature went to normal.
And please ask in the resurrection remix thread.
