I'm experiencing a problem with headphones. When plugged, they sound ok, but audio continues playing through external speakers.
I'm on FolioMod v 1.3d. Tried downgrading to 1.3c, but the same result.
Anyone experiencing the same or it's a hardware problem on my folio?
Thanks in advance.

It is another craziness of our Folio My personal work around is pairing Folio with a stereo BT headset - Nokia BT-214 works fine - but you have some limitations: you can't play lossless audio like .flac & .ape ( it's an Android issue) and audio/video sync problem playing .mkv movie with Rockplayer.

I am not completely sure it's not a hardware issue. On the forum many peoples says they don't have this problem and others have it rarely. My choice is to follow the Foliomod development hoping that the issue is solved. I have two years of time ( italian manufacturer´s warranty) to send Folio back to Toshiba technical assistance.
Very strange issue. I'm testing right now TuneIn Radio and Toshiba media player (playing an mp3 and an .avi video) and no headphones + speakers issue.

It's a software issue, confirmed. And it's a "mod" software issue. I restored FolioStock to try changing my folio today and tried with stock firm. Headphones worked fine without sound through speakers.
It's a difficult issue to catch because headphones work fine at a very low volume, so external speakers are almost silent in normal use.
Please "Saint" Dexter, we know that you are very busy trying to adapt Honeycomb on Folio, but we beg you a little attention on this or a Honeycomb definitive solution. Thank you, without your mods, Folio would be almost unusable.
headpfone issue

the folio stops playing the sound on speaker if you unplug and plug the headset again.after that you've got sound only at you'r headset.
It don't solve the sofware issue but it helps you to watch a porn and your wife don't hear it.lol
Hi guys,
I'm using MW600 bluetooth headset on my X10. I change original headset with my Sennheiser MX 760. Sound quailty is very good. But I don't use MW600 with 2.2 & 2.3 custom roms
I connect it with X10. I start to listen to music. But I have short interruptions on music at various times.
Do you have a bluetooth headset is working properly with 2.2 and 2.3 custom roms?
PS: 3,5 mm audio jack is important for me. Bluetooth device must have this.
Sorry for bad English
Actually I have the same problem as well with my bluetooth fm transmitter using WB CM6. Never had a problem with bluetooth using 2.1.
Any solution to this?
Hi,
I use Trips 1.6.3 and when I have WLan activated I get interrupted bluetooth music. Without WLan everything is OK.

Can you share your rom's link with me?
custom roms have some trouble with bluetooth headsets, because my MW600 works on stock rom, and also work with my computer, with AD2P support (the devise show the title of the song/movie)
Is everyone using MW600 with this phone? Nobody have a different headset
Hi NS_85,
I forgot to say that I normally use a Nokia BH-103 and also have dropouts:-(
Does anybody know a rom which has no bt problems with a headset.
Ralf
2.1 roms are really the only solution for now. You can use EWjet if you want something snappier.
Sent from my X10i using XDA Premium App

I tried EWjet but I had another issue on it.
Do you use MW600 on EWjet perfectly?
Yes, MW600 runs perfectly on the EWjet. No skipping during music playback.

Which version do you use?
I tried it but I had this problem:
I pair my MW600 bluetooth handset with my phone. I open android stock music player, mediascape, winamp or etc. My phone returning to the previous screen when I press one of the media control keys While the phone on home screen when I press media control keys, screen loading again and again
media control keys do not work on EWjet.
The last one I used was EWJET 2.1.B.0.1 V001ex. MW600 was fine with it.
I am now on stock 2.1.B.0.1 though. Prefer when I am in control of the modifications
Edit: The problem you are experiencing is caused by that WP7 music player. Disable headset button control in it's settings.

I tried it but, it doesn't fix the problem. Which rom do you use?
I have a Nokia BH-505.
Used to have sporadic blackouts on Froyo, curiously much less with GB (cobrato 1.7.15). Happens every now and then, nothing major - do bear in mind that audio notifications will interrupt your audio stream and that this may be causing the interruptions.
IMHO this has more to do with the BT stack and the ROM than the headset itself.
I don't understand what you are asking for re. the 3.5 mm jack - we ARE talking about BT headsets, right?
Hope this helps

quite simple to replace the in ears with better ones. I heard the MW600 and the sound is not the best. My nokia sounds far better especially in the low frequencies.
btw. the problem ist mostly solved with current GB rom.
Ralf
I have used different BT stereo receivers with it (both 2.1 and 2.3.3 stock):
MW600 works fine, but I don't see track info
Samsung MS3000 works, but make sure you turn the unit on before activate BT in order to connect automatically (this one lacks bass)
Nokia BH-214 works well, but it's replaced by BH-111
Sony DRC-BT30 works well, but I lost it recently.
Isn't it a known fact that Bluetooth and WiFi don't play well together? I seem to remember discussing this issue when I bought my first BT mouse (Logitech MX900) for my then brand new laptop...
Anyway, I think issues were solved by some firmware upgrade of mouse and an improved wifi-driver that addressed the issue of BT-interference. Somehow I think that changes to kernel and/or wifi-critical files may disrupt some of the "built-in" fixes for simultaneous wifi/BT connections, which results in erratic BT-behavior.
So, I think that issues are not really related to the headset rather than the internal bluetooth/wifi-stack. As for how to fix it... Alert the dev's!

Well I don't have my archos that long but while using it for video playback a strange problem came up - dunno if it happens for any of u - but the default video player f***s up my sound somehow (same for music player).
The whole sound sounds strange and blurry unless ich change balance completely to one side - then it sounding "hearable" but still not right (btw the balance deosn't change the balance actualy for me)
What i tested for now is:
Uruk 1.0 (sibere v10 kernel) with default Video player: sound crappy
Uruk 1.0 (sibere v10 kernel) with RockPlayer: sound crappy
FW .81 with default Video player: sound crappy
FW .81 with RockPlayer: sound fine
Im not sure its depending on Urukdroid or on the player since it still happens in FW .81 with default player...
Any suggestions?
greetings FrEcP
You are using a Headset from a mobile phone?
It is a known fact that they have a problem.
Use a normal headset and everything should be fine.
You could play around with alsamixer settings. Google for instructions on how to use alsamixer, and then start it up in a terminal emulator, in root mode, on the device. Or, more comfortably, start up an ssh server on the device, and ssh in from a device with a better keyboard and run
Code:
su
alsamixer
There are bunches of audio settings there, and some might help you.
Doesn't work well through adb shell.
can't be affected by headphones as they normaly sound quite good & sound woring normal on stock fw 81 with rockplayer.
Anyway im no on UD1.5B3 but probelem still exists - so i will try the also settings
Hi Guys,
I'm new here. I have extensively search this forum to find an answer to my problem.
I have a re-branded phone, myPhone a919i from the Philippines or the Micromax A116.
All my audio, is producing a "screeching" sound; like "kshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh". I can't play properly all media that requires sound.
I have also read that this might be due to voltage supply of my speaker and headset port.
Here's a very odd diagnosis.
1. When listening to any media with sound, it produces a screeching sound.
2. When listening to any media even with headset or loudspeaker, it produces a screeching sound.
3. When using loudspeaker in a call, it also does that.
4. I can't hear my friend on the other side when not on speaker.
5. When using loudspeaker while on RADIO FM, it screeches.
5. But when I'm listening to FM radio using headset, everything's normal.
So basically, to listen peacefully amidst of chaos, Radio FM is my friend.
Stuffs I tried:
1. Restore my backup from TWRP before this happened. -> Same thing.
2. Restore to Factory Settings. -> Same thing.
3. Tried 3 Custom ROM's -> Successful Flashing but sound screeches.
4. Voltage Control downloaded via Google Play -> Set the Governor to "ondemand" and WOAH it return to normal. But the happiness is short-lived. It goes back "randomly" to its screeching habit.
It's getting frustrating because I can't exactly pin-point the cause of this issue. But I still pray it's software, because on Radio FM, everything works fine when using headset. I don't know though if experts here would agree to me. I need your expert advice.
Can anybody lend me a hand?
Custom ROMs I've tried:
- YONIP v3.5
- YONIP v5
- StarkHD 4.2.1
Thank you in advance.
Hey,
I'm using Crystal PA with nikita's Cyanogen 11 Extended Kernel on my d620.
I experience some "sound artifacts" / noise / interference when listening to music on my phone. Those are distorted sounds that occur randomly while listening to music with headphones or via phone speakers.
But the strange thing is , if I use CM's Apollo music player everything is normal.
I'd just use Apollo to play music, but it doesn't quite offer all the features I need.
Does anyone have any idea what the issue could be?
Would installing Viper4Android help?
EDIT: I'll reflash the Rom and see if it helps
I just reflashed the Rom and there are still artifacts.
I nailed DSP down to generate this issue.
