[Q] Annoying Voice Commands App Error - Atrix 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I gett he following error everytime I reboot my phone now:
"The Application Voice Commands (process com.nuance,=.android.vsuite.vsuiteapp) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again."
I'm currently running GladiAtrix (latest beta .02 version), but It did it on stock on my way to install it.
I did a 1.26 with gladroot method to get to 1.83 rooted and did a nandroid at that point. But I am pretty sure I saw it before I flashed Gladiatrix.
Anyone have any ideas?

Annnnnd... ctickets.

I'm getting this too, but only when my car tries to connect to the phone over bluetooth. Any solution?

Are either of you using TiBu to restore a backup or freezing apps?

I am using TiBu but I have never had to do a restore from it.
Why?

I only have this issue when trying to connect to my car as well.
It used to work ok before I rooted it and installed HeLauncher.
Now it will not keep a connection at all. It just keeps looping the error message over and over until I turn the blue tooth off.

Sounds identical. Funny thing is when I pair with a bluetooth headset (Motorola) it works fine. It seems to only be my car. I have also tried deleting and re-pairing with the car...no difference
I have had to disable bluetooth for now.
Mine worked for a long time after i rooted. I traveled abroad and when I came back it didn't work anymore.
Anyone have any idea?

I occasionally get this when pairing with my headset..

Anyone find a fix to this issue?
The damned process crashes upon every boot!
Without this process working, voice transcription for texts and the like don't work!
Wah wah wah

Nope. Mine still does it whenever my car connects to the phone through bluetooth.

Same issue with VW Touch adapter
I have the same issue which is very frustrating! Has anybody figured out how to do fix this?

You could always freeze this in Titanium Backup until a future update fixes it...

[Q] HELP! Bluetooth/Voice Talk

"Long-pressing" Bluetooth earpiece call button is no longer launching "Voice Talk". I can't get any help from Samsung or AT&T. All I can find through Google searching are people trying to disable the feature. But I like it, and I want it back. I thought I might have accidentally messed up a setting, but after factory resetting the phone it's still not working. How can it go from working, to not working? I'm still using the same brand new Plantronics Bluetooth I was using when it was working. Thanks for the help.
I have noticed this also. I'm on s8 and assumed it had something to do with the custom ROM but maybe not. I hope someone knows more than we do and knows how to fix it.
I figured out my problem. I had installed BTmono, to listen to music through the earpiece. Once I uninstalled it, all went back to normal. Try looking for any Bluetooth related programs you may have installed.

[Q] Bt issue

I have some problems with incoming Bt connections... For example, trying to send a file from my pc results in a "service not found" message.
Idea of how to fix this, without using apps like Bt file transfer and similar?
Sent from my Galaxy Ace on GLSMT 2.1 with XDA app.
Issue came after istalling new V6 Supercharger version (RC4). Nobody faced the same issue?
Edit: Posting this to help who may have the same problem (or not, who cares XP). Activating Bt just as soon as the phone boots up (before all apps/scripts/etc get loaded) makes it work correctly!
...though data connection won't work this way.
Wi-Fi works but no data. To have it run I have to reboot again without Bt (nor Wi-Fi) active.
I'm still trying to get to the point, because I really don't know how to get out of this (little but annoying) trouble.
Any help would be really appreciated, since I'd been blowing my mind on it in the past 2 days... >.>

[Q] Lost SMS Bluetooth after SW update

Hello
I had the OG Droid and one of the reasons I bought the Droid RAZR was that it would PUSH sms messages to my car (2012 BMW X5).
But since the new SW update on the RAZR, this function stopped working. Has anyone else had this issue? Is there a simple fix to this issue?
Thanks in advance,
dmoney98
Maybe it's 2012 BMW X5's fault. Is it running on latest firmware?

Thanks Zola,
That is a posibillity, but the function was working before the RAZR software update and has stoped after the update.
So i really do not think it is the cars's firmware, that is causing the problem, but I will check.
Thanks
dmoney98
the BMW software is up to date. So the problem still resides in the latest Phone software update.

Have you tried another app to do this, maybe handcentsms can help you, or another one.
Waht is the error you receive when you try to enable the setting?

Hello
It is not an "App" issue. The RAZR BT Profile "MAP", used to push sms messages to my car. After the RAZR SW update, this feature has stopped. I do not see a visible error. Is there a way for me to see an error, if one occurs?
Thanks

I tried a couple of things, not sure which worked.
1) Downloaded and ran an app call Bluetooth Fix Repair.
2) Rebooted phone, deleted the phone from car and deleted car from phone, re-paired the car and phone. (do not think this fixed the issue.)
3) Later deleted the phone from car and deleted car from phone, re-paired the car and phone after pairing car, went into Settings => Applications => Running Services and stopped the Bluetooth Dunning program.
4) deleted the phone from car and deleted car from phone, re-paired the car and phone.
5) i didnt get a chance to test until today and Ive got text messages in my BMW Office from this past week.
WOW !!!!! NOW WORKING !!!!!
Now a question, how to delete "text messages" from BMW Office?
Thanks,

[Q] GS3 apps - S voice not working

I recently bought Galaxy S III and installed many applications. S voice isn't working right thou, but I managed to create a website using gs3 for only 2 hours!!
This phone is so fast that everything happens for seconds! if you have gs3 go to puzl. com and check out what you can do!
But do you know how make S voice work? Even when I'm connected to Wi-Fi or using my mobile data it says Connection Error?
Yep
Same Problem here. First time Android user, but 16 years in IT, and 4 year iphone user. Love the O/S, but how does one figure out what's conflicting with S-voice?
same
My issue is similar, not the connection error. Whenever I speak a command, it types it out correctly and then does nothing. Any ideas on how to fix?

I think it only does nothing when the app isn't compatible. ie winamp works fine but playerpro doesn't.
other than that it works fine for me. I've used other versions of vlingo on other devices and it's nowhere near as good as this.
are all of you OUT OF THE BOX users....or have you done other things to your phones??
I have the same problem s voice worked at 1st then the next day it stopped working. I have only downloaded the normal android apps.
Same Problem
I spoke with a level 2 tech at Samsung and was informed that I needed to do a factory reset.

[Q] S3 Bluetooth issues connection to car stereo

I have a Sprint S3, and it will pair to my car stereo just fine, but it keeps disconnecting. Once paired, there is option boxes for "Call audio" and "Media audio"
It seems like if I turn one option on, it disables the other, and vice versa. Every time I start the car, the pairing is out of whack and I have to start over, enabling whichever one I want, and after a few times it works. I did get both to work one time, but as soon I turned car off then on, it was broken again.
My old phones have never had a problem connecting both Call and Media to my car, so I am concerned it is an issue with the S3.
I have 2010 Nissan Altima with the upgraded stereo. I have removed all previously paired devices so only the s3 shows up. I have removed and re-added the s3 several times. I have renamed the car's bluetooth name several times as well.
Is anyone else experiencing a similar issue, or can you test it with your car audio systems and let me know if it works for you?
Let me know if there some information I should provide to better understand the issue.
Thanks,
Rob
Hey robmtx, this might help you out. Theres an app in the market called bluetooth fix repair.
I had the same issue with my last two droids (1 and 3), and this solved the dropped connections. good luck
Thanks.
I'll give that a try.
I've also been reading how this might be more of an ICS issue than a device issue. It appears there are similar discussions in other device threads. I'll keep researching and also try this app.
I used my S3 in a rented car a view days ago and paired it with the installed Ford car stereo.
I played MP3 via Bluetooth and made some calls via Bluetooth. It all worked flawless. I also did not see any checkboxes for "call audio" or "media audio".
When I left the car and came back later it connected automatically. So I guess the problem is not a general problem.
this happens on mine as well from stock XALE8 to the latest XALF5. i went ahead and posted on samsung's FB page..but doubt we'll get a response
by the way, ive had this same issue whether im connecting to a bluetooth 2.0 or bluetooth 3.0 headset/car kit.
Right I might know the answer to this as I had the same problem as few weeks ago.
If you have Facebook, twitter, whatsapp or anything like this best thing is to get rid of them if you don't want to go to your accounts and sync on your phone and untick the sync with contacts on any of the apps you have installed.
Then go to call log and clear your call history.
Delete the bluetooth pairing turn the phone off and back on, repair with the car, mine has worked perfectly since I did this.

Did you remove your Gmail account too when doing this? I plan to remove FB, stock e-mail (yahoo) but wasn't sure I wanted to go through removing gmail and removing Touchdown for Exchange.

Sorry for the newb question - but what are these in reference too? Are they a firmware or similar version of something? I was looking under About phone but didn't see anything similar.

I have no problems pairing the s3 with my Volvo. Streaming, skipping titels, switch to phone during streaming - everything is working fine. Syncing E-Mail via Exchange an Gmail makes no difference.

yes this is your firmware version. settings > about > build number > I9300XXALF5. this is the most current. stock should be I9300XXALE8. under baseband version is your modem (which should contain the drivers for your 3G radio/bluetooth/wifi (i think)

My Build number is IMM76D.L710VPALEN which threw me off. Guess it is different for Sprint. Baseband L710VPLEN
I think I'll just buy a car without bluetooth and be done with this mess. It's so annoying playing the "will it pair" game.

bluetooth bug
I have a strange problem with my bluetooth audio...I have a Denso radio in my Ford Mondeo and the nightmare starts whan I connect phone via bluetooth to it. Phone some time don´t wake up from sleep. The only way how to solve (partialy) this is to reset phone (long press of power button). Then phone connect perfectly and everything is working like a charm. This problem I had on every rom I´ve tried yet
Every other phone I´ve had before didn´t suffer such prblems (galaxy note, evo 3d...)
Somebody could help? I don´t know what to do...
Same Issue
I'm having the exact same issue with my SG3 (Stock, not rooted *yet*). The initial pair works great - phone and audio sync. Once I shut the car off and back on again, the Phone connection does not automatically initiate and I have to manually connect it on my head unit. I'm driving a 2013 Mazda CX5. It's not my headunit since both my HTC Inspire 4G and HTC One X connect without issue. Another annoyance is the lack of song titles or other ID3 info on screen. Even my old Inspire had that!
My connection is great, but I am having an issue with tags. I'm using PowerAmp, but my Alpine unit displays the wrong song info - it automatically uses the default app. Is there any way to fix this?

By the way, my car is a Renault Fluence 2011, maybe it uses the same BT chip as your Altima as Renault and Nissan are pratically the same manufacturer...

So far I'm still in the same boat. I rooted today and used a market app called "Bluetooth fix" so next time I'm in the car I'll see if it fixed the issue.
