Okay, I'm not sure if you're the reseller. I am VERY interested on this one if there's any truth with this advertising.
May I ask one question:
It's indicated in the website that it's "unlocked". Is this just "Software Unlocked" where the phone's firmware and branding remains the same but is unlocked for you to be able to use any GSM sim card? Like a Sprint EVO 3D "Software Unlocked" for example. You can use any other sim but it carries the Sprint network name and the firmware is noticeably Sprint!
Or is it really "Factory Unlocked" like any other world wide version out there, came straight from HTC with HTC Stock firmware, no logos, no bull**** and stuff?
Looking forward to your reply.
Thanks!

i like the launcher better on the GSM version, thats whats up though
GSM versions are always priced significantly higher than CDMA versions, even ones that aren't subsidized.
By the way, the EVO 3D is no longer on that website

We're Sorry the HTC EVO 3D Smartphone Unlocked Import Has Been Discontinued From Our Catalog.
I went to the HTC event in Vancouver this week and I noticed an employee was holding an HTC phone with a dual camera on the back. I asked her what it was, and I got a VERY BRIEF view of a global GSM version of the EVO 3D and saw the glasses-free 3D effect. There was no Sprint or other carrier logo on it, and there was a numeric tag on the phone, and she confirmed it's the global version. She told me she wasn't allowed to show me anything else.
But there we go. Exciting isn't it?
Man I wish Sprint got the global version :\ I'd love to pop one of my own SIM cards in there while I'm traveling.

did you get to hold it or anything?!
I highly doubt Sprint would allow a GSM version to be released in the US, atleast not right away. Probably will be on bands not compatible in the states.
Vodafone. They are getting the global version.

The gsm version is easy to spot. Go to HTC and look at the Evo 3D and notice on the phones back cover. The ring around the camera is gold, not the American red color.

Yeah she gave me no indication as to whether a Canadian release was likely, but typically we see versions of European HTC phones arriving here a few months later on Telus or Bell. It usually alternates.
Bell just got the Incredible S and soon Wildfire S. Telus is rumored to get the Flyer. My guess is, Telus gets the Evo 3D if Canada gets it at all. Maybe rebranded as the Desire 3D, since they got the original Desire and the HD. Bell got the Desire Z and the HD7 though.
Or if Bell gets the E3D, then Telus will get an 850/1900 version of the Sensation as a consolation prize.
And I think it's pretty safe to say Rogers won't get any of the above. Their former relationship with HTC appears to be severely broken.

A little off topic, but how was the 3D effect? I'm really keen to see how it is in person but I'd like to know what other people think of it.
Here's to hoping the Evo 3D makes its way to Australia

The only glimpse I got was from the phone being held in camera mode, and the display was showing a 3D rendition of what it was filming. I definitely saw the 3D effect but I wasn't in the optimal viewing position. It still wowed me.
Has anyone had any success in getting the Rogers EVO 3D to display incoming caller names that are NOT in the contacts list. Those of you on Rogers know what I am talking about.
I was told by Rogers and Best Buy prior to purchasing it that it would work and a phone call to tech support after buying it that it should work. I called tech support again today and the guy first said yes, then after doing some research he said "he googled it and it looks like Androids don't support this" so he really knew nothing about the phone and had no info about it.
I need to return this phone ASAP but I want others to confirm that it also does not work for them as well just so I know it isn't something with my line.
Works for me, have had the phone for 3 hours now and have gotten calls from outside the people on my contact list.
And you see their name and number displayed?

I have never had this work on a cellphone on any carrier, I mean you see the number, but not the name: At&t, Rogers, t-Mobile UK, etc.
Rogers seems to be the only carrier that supports the feature, it costs $2 extra per month. if I place my sim card in my Nokia N97 it works and apparently it works on almost all Samsung phones.
Sent from my HTC EVO 3D X515a using XDA App
I have seen a few people in the forum with Roger listed as their carrier and saying they have the 3D but I still have not heard anyone positively say that incoming name display works or not.
The feature is really important to me and feedback would be greatly appreciated.

grrr, now I am really upset because someone PM'ed me 1.5 hours ago saying they DO see names form unknown callers but I returned my EVO 3D 3 hours ago!!! I can still go to the store and get it back and return the SGS II I bought but have not even used at all yet but I really need full confirmation
Please help, I am in a desperate situation where time is very limited for me and I must act quickly.
Anyone and everyone in Canada with an EVO 3D on Rogers please verify for me that this feature should work, Rogers has no clear answers on this and I really love the phone .

I was reading it and noticed it says we have HDMI-out on this phone. I was going to remove that little bit, but then I wasn't sure if there really was HDMI out through some USB adapter that I'm not aware of, or if it means an actual mini/micro HDMI port on the phone itself (which I know does not exist).
Maybe that needs to be fixed/clarified?
Also, made some edits anyway though.

Oh using that adapter. So technically, the Titan does not have any HDMI out, it just has DLNA out. That adapter only connects to a tv and turns a regular TV into a DLNA device.
I am guessing what you were talking about is MHL. I have no idea if that exists in this phone or if it is at the moment Only Android phones with this but MHL adapters IF this phone has that ability convert Micro-Usb to HDMI through the Micro-USB Charge Port.
Thanks Ganja! Great work man!
I noticed that the wiki states that the Titan battery is interchangeable with that of the Evo and the Amaze. I need an additional battery and a remote charger for my Titan so I was shopping when I noticed a slight difference in the specifications.
The OEM battery in my (AT&T) Titan is 3.8VDC. With no exceptions, all of the batteries for the Evo and the Amaze are 3.7VDC. I’m not smart enough to know if this difference is significant. In the event that someone has already done the research, I didn’t want to amend the wiki.
Do you happen to know the answer to this, or would you know how we can find out if it is completely cool to swap batteries with slightly different specifications?
Thanks again,
Dave

I'm the one that actually added that bit in there. I had already done some research on the batteries for the Amaze and Evo, and found OEM ones that run at both 3.8VDC and 3.7VDC (most 3.8VDC). Actually, a 3.8VDC HTC EVO 3D battery is what I am using inside of my Titan at the moment.
That being said, the very minor VDC difference between 3.8VDC and 3.7VDC should not have any impact on how it performs in the phone, unless the battery is some piece of junk from a third party or something (which I would never buy to begin with). There should be no problems with the using the batteries at all. Historically with HTC products, they tend to make many devices that have batteries that are interchangeable despite the minor VDC/mAh differences.

Is your EVO 3D 3.8V battery the original one that came with your EVO 3D with model number BG86100 and is 1730mAh? If yes, does your Titan charge it and display the remaining charge correctly?

The battery I ordered from Amazon actually, but it matches that model number and the specs you list, and charges perfectly fine and shows what I believe to be an accurate remaining charge.
The OEM battery in my HTC Titan is 3.8VDC.
The battery EVO 3D i have bought is 3.8VDC.
I just made a minor change in the FAQ.
The correct length for Ringtone is under 39s, not 40s.
People said it "under 40s" but all my ringtones are set to 38.99s in order to make it work
and i have a question about the batterry, you can put a same-size HTC-OEM 1730mAh on it? Where can i buy this?
OK, I know this is a real non-tech type question, but having just read that HTC/ATT will be releasing the Radiant, a LTE enabled phone, can someone clue me in on how this will differ from the Titan on AT&T? My connection to AT&T usually shows as "4G" on my Titan, so I'm not sure what kind of advancement the Radiant will represent.

4G and 4G LTE are two different types of network technologies.
Let's just say that 4G LTE would be a world of difference compared to regular 4G, especially since 4G is not really 4G at all, just an improved version of 3G, but it is marketed as 4G.
4G LTE is the technology that Verizon currently uses on its 4G phones. Data speeds are absolutely off the charts (in most cases).

I bought one off of Amazon.com, but I'm sure you can get it anywhere HTC accessories/batteries are sold. Just buy a battery for an EVO 3D or Amaze.

Battery BA S590 (EVO) in Titan
Dear friends,
I ordered an original HTC EVo battery for my Titan, so it can benefit from the extra 10% of juice.
But the phone shows a question mark in the battery level indicator when I installed the battery doesn't seem to charge the battery.
Is there any workarround?

Why does my 3d have an htc one loudspeaker?
google the model number and that is what comes up. i bought one for a 3d (ends with d instead of e) and it had no volume.
my wife did find an evo 3d being parted out with the same number so im confident ill get my speaker back. but why do most all of the 3d's have a different model loudspeaker. what is so different about my phone? (other than its mine and everything i own goes screwy)
