Touch the little wand icon and scroll over to "no effect" which should be the left-most option. Looks like you have a lens effect set.

Just got an Otterbox defender for my phone. I love the case so far until today. For some reason with the case off or the commuter on, the camera works fine. The camera stops working with the defender on though. I don't know if this is a known issue. Any insight is much appreciated.

I've got one, and my camera works fine..
I have a Defender on my 3D for 2 weeks now from Mon-Fri of each week. No difference in any of my pics whether the Defender is on or not.
Exactly what is the issue with the pics that you believe the case is causing?
Sorry I wasn't more specific. When I hit the camera button, camera application, or camcorder application the screen goes black. The capacitive buttons are lit bit I can't do anything except lock or hit home.

Same here. Only problem I have with defender is edge of screen letters are hard to press, and the camera lens holes collect a lot of dust and lint. They constantly need cleaning.

This does seem to be the issue. I have the first ota because I wanted the movie. I'll stick to no upgrading until root is obtained. I'd dislike to lose chance of root if i update again

I have no idea if any of the updates are causing the issue.. but for the record to figure out what's up I am running with no updates and I got my 3D 3 days early through the Premiere program

I never got ota and was able to use movie. There was a way to quickly push menu before ota warning came up. But then they ripped the apk from the ota and you could update watch without ota.

Hey guys,
I dropped my phone the other day from 50cm on wooden floor (i have tpu case on it) and noticed that the screen is now a little bit up from the body right at the bottom right and I have now light leak from the back bitton ((
Screen is sticking out like 0.5mm
nothing major I guess, but was wondering if someone has taken their baby apart and knows if this is easily fixable? I guess it's just the glue, doesnt stick to the screen anymore, but not sure

Crazy idea but might as well turn off the backlight buttons under settings. That should help to ease your eye strain from that light leak

Does the dedicated camera button work to snap pics? Doesn't work for me! I'm on the sense 3.5 rom but it wasn't working on stock either.

No, I was running sense when I was on stock...from lockscreen it would bring me to the camera app but wouldn't let me snap a pic with the camera button.

are you pressing down all the way? there is a focus click and if you press harder it snaps a picture..its a two click button..hold down lightly to focus and firm to take pic...if it's not working you need to contact HTC.
Wow that did it...I would only press down and it would focus, but I didn't know I had to hold it down because when I first tried it would just focus. Thanks for the help!

I know with my D3O case, I have to push the camera button to hard to take a pic, it messes up the pic cuz my hand is trembling lol. Same goes for my power button. I use the touch shutter button on screen now. I thought the case would break in, but its not lol

Just get a sharp xacto knife and cut out the buttons on the d30 case. I remember seeing a vid of it on youtube and it worked out pretty well.

Why does my spen constantly register movements and button presses when I'm not in contact with the screen? I can just hover it over an icon and its like I pressed it or when drawing something and I pick up the pen and move it to the tools it's still acting like I'm drawing making random touch marks...
I've tried the ssid code to calibrate the s pen but no change...I even took off my screen protector ..no change...has anyone else experienced anything like this at all?? On an ICS rom btw..so any thoughts if its hardware or software...thanks

Lol smack the pen? I musta missed that comment? Being messing with the tape and not to much luck yet...called att and they got samsung on the line and said send us your pen and after we evaluate it we'll send you a replacement in 6 weeks!

There is an app in the store that lets you change the spen sensitivity. Its called screentune or something like that (its not free)

If the issue is the magnet in the pen itself, a sensitivity app would be a bandaid solution if it worked at all.

I paid the $3 or whatever and it works great for my spen issues, no problems since then. TouchScreenTuner is the name.

I have similar issue but buying whole roll of alu tape isnt worth it when u can get a new s-pen for 20$ on ebay... Im glad to see the fix work however, might try it to confirm if someone is willing to ship me a 2" piece lol

Hey guys,
I just noticed this in my pictures yesterday. There is a purple line and what could be the edge of the camera lens showing up in the left corner of my pics. I haven't dropped the phone so I don't know why this issue has shown up recently. My note is about two months old give or take a week. I called customer service and they want me to factory reset my phone. I don't see how that will fix a possible hardware issue. So I have not done this yet. Any ideas or suggestions??

That thought did cross my mind with the purple line. But what do you think the black line underneath the purple line could be??
The lines stay in the left corner in both portrait and landscape modes.

Looks to me a small micro crack...can you shine a light on lens and see if its cracked? I had this issue on one of my old phones.
The lines would move to another corner in landscape mode versus portrait mode if it were something physically on the lens or the lens itself.
If they stay in the same corner, it's likely software. Try another camera app to test it.

Used my led mag lite and I do not any scratches around the len. It looks clear too me.

That was the first thing I tried after noticing the problem. I physically don't see anything on the lens and I don't have a magnifying glass. I'm wondering if dirt has gotten behind the glass and lens. I usually store the phone in my back pocket when I'm not holding. Do you think a hard reset would work as customer support suggested?

If the mark stays in the bottom left corner no matter which way you turn the phone, then yes, a software reset might help.
Is the line in the preview as well, or does it only appear after you take the image?

So all other camera apps..show this mark on bottom left corner?..If you've attempted to instal a few different camera apps and they all do it on that corner..its most likely a scratch or dirt mark behind the actual lens itself...I don't think it has anything to do with software related.... trying different camera apps kida debunks that....but I could be wrong I've seen sone pretty weird stuff go on with phones..lol
