I just wonder that if could anyone know the way to mod CRT animation on the pure sense, I'm using Orange Glacier rom. I have modified the status bar, and things else, but this one is a hard ass one and I can't find the way to do it. Any idea?

Virtuous Fusion utilizes CRT animations so i dont see why not since its Pure Sense as well

yea, thanks guys, totally agree with you. I tried both of them before but I prefer the original sense of mytouch 4g but btw virtious and royal, i go with royal so, really there is no way to put crt animation to the original sense?

Terms like "pure Sense" and "original Sense" to most people mean the version of Sense that is on all HTC phones except the myTouch line. If you're looking for the CRT animation for the type of Sense that comes on the MT4G stock, I'd call it "mySense" or something similar. That way folks will know what you're talking about.

Damn TeeJay, that was quik, I was going to edit my post to let him know the same thing. MySense is one of a kind (Made for t-mobile MyTouch Line) where as Original Sense is what is on most if not all other HTC devices.
I normally stay mostly in my little cave/thread but I did read a little about the MT4G Slide that might have Sense 3.0 but I have to assume it will be MySense so I am kinda wanting to see what that is about. I am actually probably one of the few that do like MySense. I think it has some UI things that I like about it.
We must have hit "submit reply" at the exact same time.

Its gonna be hard on any 2.2 roms. Like, almost impossible hard. Would have to port the whole 2.3 frameworks for it to happen. Adding it to the stock 2.3 rom, not as hard.

Thank you for your information, I didn't know it's that impossible hard But correct me if I'm wrong, I think I saw some MySense roms which are 2.3.3 but the Sense is still 2.1 ...

Ive seen it done on other android devices, So why not on a Atrix?
On which other devices did you saw the Sense?
The sense is a close code project of HTC, and can not realy be installed successfuly on non-HTC devices.
You can use themed launchers that has the looks and sometimes the widgets of the sense, as showed here:

but actually install Sense on devices that dont come with sense in the first place is not really possible (to be more accurate, it is even quite complicate to put sense on devices that do come with lower versions of sense or sensed android....).

The Sense framework is deeply embedded. I see that there may be a Nexus port but that's a developer phone with tons of active devs. We haven't even achieved an unlocked bootloader so Sense is as far out of reach as it comes.
If you're looking for Sense your best bet is to get an HTC device that supports it natively. rmk40 has a Sensation now and is super pumped to start developing for it. He always develops extremely clean, fast and highly optimized ROMS with relative tweak and minimal bloat. I'm positive that once the Sensation bootloader is unlocked he'll be pumping out the good stuff. I can't wait!

I know. I'm just being the bearer of bad news and putting it into painful perspective though... lol
I know there are some tweaks and similar apps out there but it just doesn't compare. People ***** and moan about Sense being slow and bloated, but rmk40's ROMs are absolutely beautiful. Now that we have a lot more tweaks for our Atrix devices I'm still really pleased, but I still desire the HTC Sense experience again. I freeze lots of apps but things like the Social Dialer and other widgets are just too beautiful to pass up.

Yes but tour link noy only didnt answer what the op was asking. Your attitude didn't help with an inccorrect post. All you had to do was explain that sense is closed and propriotery and very difficult to port to an open phone let alone a locked down one like the atrix

HTC made the hardware, architecture, put together the components, etc. It's basically an HTC Desire, or rather, the Desire is an upgraded N1.

As the title states.... Is it possible to port a sense rom to the Motorola Photon? Reason for asking is because I'm undecided between the Photon and the Evo 3D... I like the Photon's quickness but at the same time like the new sense 3.0...

i havent played around with sense 3.0 much, but with what was on my EVO 4G i remember it being like vista to a PC. It was large and heavy on processing.
Im not too sure the size of blur on the Photon, but it def seems pretty fast and lite.
What things have you liked about HTC Sense that has you interested?

Even my wife's Epic 4g has the all the toggles for 4g, wifi, gps, etc. in the notifcation drop down at any time - I love that, but currently can't do on the MoPho... If that were to become a reality, I'd gladly pay for it
you can make your rom look very much like sense with the notification bar controls, lockscreen and homepage from different apps and widgets in the market.

For the Sense-like notification bar, just install Notification Toggle (link).
For Sense-like 3D animation, just install SPB Shell (link).

is teh error from /drivers/misc/nvodmcam.c ? saying it cant find /arch/arm/etc etc etc etc? if so i have teh fix for that on my github, not sure if its proper but hell it works ;P

Yeah I finally got the kernel compiled successfully after applying that quick patch you noted. One thing you should correct though is you used the "delete" marker on the line that needs to be added (you have it reversed) in github. Time to try out some overclocking

Why would anyone want sense lol? Just get an HTC phone. Sense is the laggiest piece of **** I've ever ran (had 4 evo 3D's) I'd never run sense. Every sense phone I've owned was rooted the first day and switched to cm(aosp).

I just like the UI its really captivating to me I can care less if it lags I just live the way have it set up especially on the eco 3d and sensation

Its so heavy that it actually takes away from performance....may not cause "problems" but the evo 3D is perfect example. When sense is removed the 3D is a totally different device on aosp.
I cant believe no one has started a sense 3.5 rom yet...im excited for one!! Hopefully Virus gets on one for his next release

Agreed looks terrible, seriously what was htc thinking. ill stick to sense 3.0 look at the sheer beauty of it! I also think more are focused on miui and aosp.

Ugly?!?? U obviously havent had the pleasure of seeing or using it first hand..its beautiful and is a great update to sense 3.0 and actually has alot of 3.0 features just improved...I guess ill just wait and see if V does something with it

what youve seen is definetely not stock sense 3.5 and its not what evo 3d will be updated to the version of sense 3.5 leaked from the bliss is a heavily themed version of what stock 3.5 is supposed to look like it was themed to appeal to woman it is basically the doubleshot ui on sense 3.5 its what tmobile call mysense....and yes it looks very ugly idk what tmobile was even thinking

I decided to stop because unlike the doubleshot port it cant be resized since i havent been able to decompile the apks in the m10 editor to resize them....

I know its mysense..but i still like it..appeal to a woman? what are u trying to say? i know its not anything the evo 3d will update to but its nice for a change and worth a port...im sure alot of people will like it..look at the interest in the bliss port on the 4g evo..

So since ics has basically almost everything sense has. I wonder what htc will add to sense. What do you guys think? They might have to come out with something really new , like a new feature to make people want to buy a phone with ics sense. I love sense so maybe the collaboration will be awesome! For the people waiting for an official update it might be awhile till they cook sense into it. But we'll see what happens.

You have some good ideas. Mostly sounds like you enjoy the widgets which is what i think everyone can agree on. As far as launcher and look go. I like the way ics is outta the box.

LOL, best not bet any money on that one. Sense will be Sense, I predict. I am hoping HTC can bring themselves to at least keep ICS's configurable dock, though.

Now, come on. You know it will have sense. Likely 3.0, it does not seem like they make a habit of updating sense in a phone that has been out.
The EVO Shift had just that when it was upgraded to Gingerbread.
From Froyo with Sense 1.x to Gingerbread with Sense 2.1.

It's absolutely going to be Sense. There is no doubt about that, regardless of our opinions on Sense (and I happen to disagree with you) HTC won't let go of one of the biggest end-user differentiation that their handsets across the range carry (excluding the Nexus One, of course)

Man I'm gonna miss the buttons. Would think that if they ditch the buttons that they would extend the screen down over where they would be so we don't lose any actual useable screen space compared to what we have now....
What's funny is the one you linked to which has dual core shows no buttons but the quad core one has em....

by the time HTC gets around to releasing ics with sense, we will have already had a fully functioning port of ICS for quit a while. Not the other way around. You dont have to wait for the sense version.

I don't think he was sauntered he hopes it doesn't have sense, but rather that he hoes it's not the same old sense theme and look that we're accustomed to

But since the designated ALL ICS thread is so cluttered. I felt compelled to ask on a separate thread because this is a real issue.
When I saw a video demonstration that Samsung and Google did about ICS... I saw much more attractive features than I have received with my current update.

I want the stock dialer, the lock screen, ect.

Now that we have S-OFF and ICS ..... lets work on a way to get that stock look going!!! Yay!

#1 i am developing cm9,AOKP and an stock AOSP rom for the phone and you can do this by just taking apks from the cm9 nightlies and replacing the ones in here

I know this may be a bit cocky of me to ask this.... but would you be able to inform me ASAP when you create an ICS rom without this bullsh!t sense crap....
HTC really found a way to destroy the fantastic features of ICS....
Even the timelapse support on the camera.... LIKE WTF!?

I would go with that but I need a working camera, gsm, wifi, bluetooth, .... i don't really use nfc tho so idk

Yeah that sucks when they leaked the ICS update didn't they also leak the radio drivers too?

The waiting is the worst part of all of this. But you know what, I love XDA. If it wasn't for all you guys at XDA I'd probably go crazy.

When I saw a video demonstration that Samsung and Google did about ICS... I saw much more attractive features than I have received with my current update.

As soon as someone gets the leak deodexed I'll be working on a very slimmed down sense that will be very much like Aosp. I'm already running the stock launcher with aosp apps and much of Sense taken out. I just can't really distribute it until a deodexed version is made first.

See... I knew there was a reason to why I like you so much (not in a sexual way or anything) .... I just spent a sh!t load of money on lock screens and phone dialers lol....
This will save me one extra headache...
I wonder if this has a paid version or if the developer is a generous person

Android 4.0 Sense 3.6 is Sense.

what exactly do you not like about sense, or think that HTC has made worse. I'm not taking sides, just wanted to know what those things are! I havn't upgraded myself yet, but was wondering. a list would be awesome Thanks.
