Hay guys,
So for the first couple of weeks my battery life was awesome on the s3 and was going an entire day easy with like 40% at night before bed...
However now it is seriously draining fast, I go to work at 8 get home at 5 and I have about 12 percent left with moderately light use...
First thing I thought was maybe an app but in the battery section didn't show anything odd, I got betterbatterystats to see more detailed but don't know what alot of the wake locks are... Here are the screen shots any input/advice is welcomed!!!

WAKELOCKS ask in the better battery stats thread .

Have you changed the Rom? If so you need to download a battery calibrator from the store and reset the stats with it once fully charged.
You might have an app draining your battery, install free "Watchdog" app, and set it to monitor all processes, and it will sound an alarm if an app is misbehaving.
Also install cpuspy and reset the counter and then leave your phone for 30min or so, then check how much time your phone spends in deep sleep.

Thanks got cpuspy and it spend most time in deep sleep... I'm Inking now it's because at work I have bad reception if that's the cause what can I do? If anything lol...

If you dont use 3g or 4g for downloads, switch your phone to gsm, A stronger signal means the phone does not have to work as hard and uses less power.
Also disable account syncing, stops your phone from waking up.

Hello i just bought my s3 yesterday and battery is draining very fast i have used the fix but i have that problem of screen which takes 88% of batery and it's not normal ! here is a screenshot

Keeping the screen on will dran the battery since that's what screens do.
Regardless of the device (including laptops), screens always take >50% of the battery.
Could you show the screen-on time?

Let me venture a guess. When you get a new phone, you tend to play with it a lot, hence the screen on time and battery drain Give it a few days, it will be fine -- this phone has great battery life.

The battery needs to go through a few full cycles of drain and charge before it's reached optimal performance. First week battery drained more but now it's performing brilliantly.
Just keep letting it drain completely and charging fully a few times and have auto brightness selected.

I've heard that li-ion batteries don't suffer from memory issues and there's therefore no reason to calibrate them or run them in any specific charge/discharge cycle.
If you ask 100 different people about how best to use your battery you'll get 100 different answers. Don't worry about it, just enjoy the phone.
Hmm. This phone probably has the best battery life of any android phone I've owned, and I've had a few.

You haven't said how long the screen was on for.

Tripe.
Minimum of 3 cycles to reach peak performance. I have flashed hundreds of roms/kernals, it ALWAYS takes a few days for the battery to normalise.
Op, take a chill pill, calm down, post again in a few days. If you're still having drain, it will be down to an app or your settings.

Your battery is okay. You probably turned your screen too bright or viewing your screen in bright environment. Leaving brightness in auto give slightly more than 2 hours screen time with 3G and push all on.
Facebook sync it's probably your major problem

Battery drain might be bcoz of Jelly bean update itself. I've had my S3 for three months, battery lasted me for 2 days until I updated to jellybean. Now 5 % goes every hour even without using it. I'm sure an update will come out to fix this
If you are still using stock mod, have you removed any bloatware? Take a look in Apps/Running Apps to see weather or not your battery drain is being caused by unwanted/unused applications.

I'm not saying his screen shot isn't real it's just I don't trust people's screen shots as I can take a screen shot of up to 50 hours by basically plugging in my phone and not letting it reach 100% then unplugging it back to 20% then back to 80% and so on.
I'd love to have 18 hours at 50% by playing games and using internet and making calls and other uses but don't think that's possible.

Wrong, how can you say all I did was making calls when:

Nothing in your first post stated that my screen shot was fake, even if you did, your statement would still be wrong.
Also if I was an idiot to do what you would,(In bold). The graph in my first screen shot wouldn't be decreasing from (start, finish). It would have shown spikes of increasing.
I think you just really need to read better, and stop assuming everyone lie about their battery screen shots.
There's no point for most others and I to do that,
I posted my screen shots with a simple intention to help OP to achive better battery life on his SGS3.
As I know the phone has the potential.
Thus the reason I stated "using latest wanam lite with persus kernal".
Then you chime in with all these non sense.
I know I have probably wasted 5 minutes of my time writing this as you probably will just ignore the facts.
But as you are a senior member on XDA so please,
The least contribution you can make is by not plaguing XDA with false information and negativity.
People like you make us lose faith in humanity.

Well maybe when you post screen shots you can explain what you used it for instead of just posting a screen shot and going away.
More information is more helpful and will give people a more understanding.
I've seen people in here boasting and showing screen shots of 35 hours but giving no information of how, what battery they used or how they used their phone or what settings they used and when I asked got no reply.
Your screen shot didn't really show much to be honest other than you used a custom Rom.
Lastly I never said yours was fake but just wanted more information.

Its not 18 hours at 50% but its certainly possible to achieve good battery life playing games and using Internet etc.
See screen shots below.

Media looks high to me on your screenshot. You may have the media server wake lock draining battery.
As a temporary solution force close the media server. It should be OK until you reboot. Then you will need to close it again.
Some people (myself included) have had success in overcoming this by formatting the external SD.
Good luck

Try to 'callibrate' your battery, and see if gives you the same results or if it's fixed: Charge your battery to 100% - turn off your phone - remove your battery for about a minute - replace your battery - turn on your phone.

I think that it may be caused by the internal GT-I9100 Battery Fuel Gauge chip, you should ask a service center, often problems like this are because of internal battery chip failing at equilibrating charges between battery cells.
You should also try to reflash a stock samsung rom (like XXLSJ) using odin, so if there's any software problem it should solve it

Maybe wrong charger, faulty battery and too many apps/widgets in the background?. Better have the device checked if the issue persists.
