best luck with that. you may need to switch to gsm and wait until the gsm is avail. and sim unlocked.

well here iusacell has CDMA and hspa+
and i see some EVO's 4G with iusacell data and voice working well, perhaps not sure if wiimax radio affect this. i hope not =X

WiMax is a totally different network. Since there is none in Mexico, only the 3G part will work. I've taken my EVO there and like you say it works fine. The 3D should be the same way.

I think they need the MSL code to program the phone. I know if the phone is rooted, you can get it with an app or maybe call sprint?? Not sure...

I have one
Sure it works! I have an EVO 3D follow me on twitter @ cristopher_bg I will send you instructions to work with Iusacell, everything works correctly calls, internet, except for receiving SMS messages.

Dual SIM Cards - (1 for Voice, 1 for Data)

Does anyone know if it is possible to have one sim card for voice and another one for data, both active at the same time? Every post I've read indicates only one sim card can can be active at the same time...

Not at the same time.
In Portugal, it has one for voice and one for data, at the same time
During my trip to Korea last summer i met this dude who had this weird korean pocket pc phone that can support both CDMA and GSM at the same time.

I have 1 SIM card (voice) and 1 Data card, both from Vodafone. How do you do that?
Boa noite, eu tenho dois cartoes da vodafone, 1 normal e 1 de dados, e tenho um adaptador que nunca utilizei...
You can try getting something like a Dual-Sim-10th-Gen-Auto-STK-Menu-Universal-holder
but u can only use 1 card at anyone time. Havent tried it but i know alot of people in this forum tested it and worked with any 1 sim card at any 1 time.

Radio for t-mobile in The Netherlands

Hey guys, I'm on the t-mobile network in The Netherlands and o be blunt, my reception sucks. I'm missing a lot of calls and sometime my phone doesn't even want to call the outside world. After pressing the sent butting is just waits, tries to connect and give a 0:00 time and then quits again.
I've tried a few different radio roms, the original that my phone was supplied with (can't remember which one, 1.41 1.48 and 1.50, but none of them seem the fix the problem. Is there anybody out there on the t-mobile network, preferrably in The Netherlands that has a Hermes and decent reception?
Help is very much appreciated
Meer info nodig, welke rom draait erop?
More info Please, bv. Rom?
I'm running latest Sleuth rom (3.1) with radio rom 1.47 and my reception is excellent!
Maybe something in your phone is broken?
Cheers,

Im running Black Majic, with Radio 1.50.00.10. I've had these problems as well with radio 1.41.00.10 and 1.48.00.10. By device is not superCID/Sim unlocked and I've got Olipro v7 running with IPl/SPL at 1.04/2.10
I'll try 1.47 when I get home tonight
Im running radio 1.50, works perfect! got problems with radio 1.48
No problems here, running with the latest Schap's 3.54 b and 1.50 Radio ROM
Reception is also excellent( ik heb een super ontvangst )

Lees I am on the latest HTC WM6 ROM official and Radio 1.50 everything is perfect. Although I had the problems you describe a couple of months ago. It started one day and would not go away and did that inside and around the place I live. I decided to call T-Mobile and gues what they said that there was a problem with one of the Masts in my neghbourhood... They advised me to switch to GSM only for while and it took them about 3-4 weeks to fix the problem. So give them a call and see which masts are in your neughbourhood maybe one of them is on maintanance. And usually they take these kind of calls seriously. By me I even got a follow up call that they were still bussy fixing it. (het was een gedoe dat een mast weg moest want de contract met de gebouw eigenaar verlopen was dus ze zochten een nieuwe plek, kan gebeuren).
Well, I've tried 1.47 and I get a bad reception and missed calls as well. I think I have to do a complete reflash (OS as well) and then see what happens.
I'm from Belgium and I am often in the Netherlands for business. No problems whatsoever with Black Majik and radio 1.50.00.00. No missed calls and good reception.
Read my signature.
I've tried all possible combinations. Info below is probably the fastest an most reliable combination.
Only I have KPN as provider......

Yeah i did, but they didn't know of any issues. I've also have a HTC Wizard and that work without any pronlems. My HTC Hermes problems or on different locations as well, so I think it's a problem with my phone.
I'll flash to the new Black ROM as soon as it's out and then see what happens
I am running Schaps 3.54B and Radio 1.50.00.00. and it's running perfectly.
Good reception and good battery life.
This is on a T-Mobile MDA Vario II
I am back to the 1.47 Radio rom, ( hier in Utrecht heb ik net 1 streepje meer umts ontvangst, vergeleken met de 1.50 die ik had )
For me is 1.47 better than the 1.50
I am on Tmob Netherlands. Never had a problem with the reception. I have tried several radios. Right now using 1.50. To be frank, cant tell the difference between this and the previous ones.

[Q] Flash HTC Evo 3d to Boost Mobile?

Hello xda. this is my first post so I apologize in advance.
I spent about 30 min reading post trying to find one to match and did not find anything.
I have a HTC Evo 3D that I want to put on to boost mobile. I'm wondering if any has herd of this working yet. or are we all playing the waiting game?
less important details
I will not be doing this my self. I know some who says they can. I just wanted to be sure that its possible before I pay and put a small risk into it. the esn is clean as well
any thing with post i should know is welcome and I will be more than happy to fix it as soon i know about it
i just got one myself clean esn and i can find readable addresses ??? pklease advise
Have you asked the company its self? Boost is a Sprint company and uses CDMA. If they say no then I don't know if the temp root would allow the carrier unlock or you may be able to use QPST and program it.

Thanks for.the reply but boost will not activate this phone I have to have the readable addresses so I can do my thing if anyone knows please addvise thanks
You cannot "flash" a Sprint android device to boost. What you are asking to do is illegally clone a esn/meid of a boost mobile phone and illegally change the esn/meid of the ego 3d to that of the boost phone... This is a very gray area you are treading at best
Sent from my PG86100 using Tapatalk
I did this for someone last year with their EVO. It's technically illegal, due to cloning, but the info is out there. Good luck.
Have u tried to have them activate the esn WITHOUT telling them its not a boost phone? Do u have cricket in your area? Theres no need to clone the esn unless boost refuses to accept esn's of non boost phones

IM NOT THE ONLY ONE TREADING but thanks for the heads-up just trying to my thing thats all this is a non-profit venture aka solo=mine thanks to all and its only a matter of time
ya id rather pay sprints monthly bill than break the law... (funny how id rather break the law then pay for music tho )
the friend i talked to said he has done it before (with the 3d), and he just called sprint up not boost. i know this person has tech know how and i trust him about 95%
but there is that little voice inside my head says its easy to run with my phone....
$25 for 45 a month with out breaking the law and risk losing my phone
or~ $90 and put it on sprint....
does this sound worth the risk to you guys?
also my shift key is "broke-ish" am going to have a grammar lecture if i get a little lazy?
its a minor annoyance to get it to work and just don't have time to really fix it atm
I went with my mom to MetroPCS and the dude there had an OG Evo 4g flashed to MetroPCS. He claimed he still had 4g but that's total bull****.
I had my og evo on metropcs....i dont know how true it is that its illegalbecause metropcs itself will flash almost anycdma phone to work on their network.
To the last poster, that dude was full of bs. The evo has internet/data, mms, text, voice. No 4g is possible because metropcs has lte and evo is wimax.

If I am not mistaken it should be no different than putting a OG Evo on Boost since all they are doing is changing your ESN to a workable Boost Mobile CDMA ESN -higher end phone. Make sure you check what phone they are using to change your phone to Boost. A crap phone gives you crap internet connection.

why you say hes bull**** it's very much possible, illegal yes but here's how one will get 4g
get a working 4g phone (one that is active with sprint) and backup wimax keys and copy the wimax mac address
then take the nonworking phone in his case metro one and restore the good wimax keys to it; then change the mac address to the good one
so.. before you call people full of **** do homework
edit
now about the 3d; problem is it has a mechanism that detects memory reads / scans and then locks the memory from being read thus the reason you have no readable memory scans

Wouldn't that require someone to still be paying a sprint bill to remain active on the 4g? Maybe I missed something.

yes you are correct it will still require someone to pay sprint or clearwire
but if you have a family member who has and 4g account you could use theirs and what most people don't know is that the 4g(data) can be used by both parties at the same time not esn/meid thats different subject

Similar problem about the signal of 3G
Hello,
I bought a Jiayu g4 basic phone a few weeks ago. Recently, I have been having a similar problem about the signal of 3G with the jiayu g4.
This weekend I traveled to another state and all the time the jiayu was with no signal.
I didn't found a forum or website of the brand jiayu where I could post my doubts.
I hope we can solve our problems with help with friends of XDA. :highfive:

Hello,
I've bought a G4 advanced and i'm facing the same problem. Vodafone PT doesnt work but Optimus PT works.
i have noticed that the icon changes when i activate the 3G and data connection por the Optimus but i cant test it because i do not have a data plan.
Does anyone know with VOdafone doesnt work?
thanks
This is software related error. Rom's having problems on this phone. Has anyone tried a good working rom for the g4t basic? I have the latest original rom and have gsm/3g problem. For seconds it finds the sim and then says only for emergency calls showing the (x) sign. Also i have sudden massive battery drains whenever using whatever app (i scanned with avast and from fully charged it shut down in a minute). This is also rom related cause after a reboot it showed the real battery again. So the battery drain is fake.
Any solutions? Any good rom?

[Q] Canadian gear s not working with indian sim card

hey guys
my friend sent me a canadian gear s (r750-w) which he says was working well individually in canada but after recieving it here did all the usual setup and all but it simply doesnt detect a signal
would be grateful if there are any ideas
thanks
I have same problem. Sim card not working in Pakistan.
US based gsm watches dont work overseas, same goes for the canadian variant.
Same problem with me
I have a Gear S watch (US imported) and now I am using it in India (Delhi/NCR). Indian sim card doesn't work. Everytime I tried to insert the sim card and switch on the device it keep asking me network lock password. I did a lot of research on this and even talk to customer care. They said your software is based on US so indian sim card won't work in this case. In order to make it work you must change the software to indian version.
They ask me to go to service center. Only Okhla samsung service center deals with imported watch from overseas country. The warranty does not valid on imported product. No Idea about cost.
I would like to unlock this watch but due to insufficient time I am not able to visit now. By the end of the August may be I will try and update this post again.
Let me know if anyone has same problem and they fixed out.
Thanks.

You guys should do you home work before buying the watch. Gear S is a dual-band phone. 850/1900Mhz for North America and 900/1800MHz for rest of the world. There is no way you can make it work outside the designated region. Hardware limitation.

There's no problem to fix. The model of Gear you bought has different radio bands than the network you're trying to use it on. The "fix" is to buy a Gear that has the right bands for where you intend to use it.
es una putada de la parte de samsung a mi me passa lo mismo .que mierda esta que no puedes viajar con el smart watch
