Google and P500 - Optimus One, P500, V General

Hi
I have a few questions about google applications and P500
1. Does Google earth work on P500 or not? when I go to android market it says that the app is not available in my country not that it is not supported by my device.
2. My phone came with Google Maps installed and I can use street view inside the application (go inside bubbles) but only on streets, I can't see bubbles that are not placed on streets, is there any way to see those too?

use orbot to fake country ..i have posted a tutorial here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1099273
but it applies to google earth too,,,try it,, just select google earth in the list

cool. i will try. thanks.

Apparently HW-incompatible, so... not really worth the hassle trying the above.

Google Earth won't work on P500 because of hardware problems...

Because our processor doesn't support I think it will released for our handset

NDrive
Use NDrive which should be pre-installed, mine had it and works like charm...
Thanks guys for your reply!
@patil: I tried using NDrive but it would always hang, I don't know why!
I would definitely try Aura.
Google navigation in India
Does work. Get Maps (but)
Google navigation
Sorry. Should be Maps (brut) Go to options brut. Select international navigation.
I use Navitel with maps ported from Garmin in pakistan. Works like a charm. if you can find maps. i think navitel uses navteq maps which garmin also uses. and navteq also provides maps for india, so google for it. i'm sure you'll come up with something good.
God helps those who help themselves.
No spoon-feeding on XDA-Developers
Satnav for India
Please use "WAZE" . it is using the Satnav maps in background. It is very good. It works without any issue.

Moving to Q&A
I use brut.all google maps non rooted version and it works great here in India .
Would like to try out Waze but I guess the real time traffic updates are limited to metros where more people share traffic updates.
Still a good concept though !!

best GPS app that doesn't require data connection?

I'm wondering if there is a good application for my droid that will use the GPS to get me around with a preloaded map database so that it doesn't rely on me having a data connection.
Edit: did some research, looks like osmand and mapdroyd are the best choices. Any user opinions on which is better and why?
Thanks,
PEZ
Google maps works well for a *basic* map, newer versions can cache the map.
Thanks but I was looking for something that could do TBT navigation as well.

Are you using the Android Market app to try and download google maps? If so try accessing the android market from your phone's built in web browser instead. Download google maps from your browser onto your SD card and install it manually.

Does ask others on a development forum to help you be dumb and disrespectful toward software developers. $20 is cheap.

[Q] Navigation not enabled in my country

Does anyone know why Navigation (and Google Earth, and other Google software) is not available in most countries?
I mean, I have downloaded the hacked application from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1007132 and Navigation works just fine in my country. I have also used MarketEnabler to download Google Earth and it also works pretty fine.
Why would Google not enable them, then????
I can't find an answer to this anywhere.
Nobody knows?
Laws made by your country.

???
I'm positively, absolutely sure there's no law in my country preventing google (or anyone else) to enable navigation (or google earth, etc.).
Just in case, I asked the local telecom if they had any restriction about this (like if they were about to provide a competing product) and they said they don't have any restriction, nor any idea why google would do this.
Amazing.
Several days, and nobody knows the reason.

[Q] Implementing a proxy to download Apps from Google Play

Alright ladies and gents,
I am a galaxy s III owner so I thought I'd ask this question here.
Is there any way to implement a proxy(ie getting a fake ip address) to download apps from google play?
The thing is, Youtube and other google addresses are blocked in my country for the time being, and I feel like my phone is useless. And I, due to the sophisticated nature of this forum, am unable to describe my feelings properly (you know what I mean).
So if anyone, with any information steps forward, I salute you. and otherwise too but just a little bit less
Thanks in advance
Hi,
You can search for "Market enabler" on Google (app removed from the Play Store).
Or here on Google+: https://plus.google.com/110853353138524936530
Or in the general Android section (maybe in Android apps and games) if I remember right there is some mods or a modified Play Store that allow what you want. You'll fint that with a little search.

Download "Hotspot shield vpn" from google, install it and start protection. As soon as you are done, you can use gmail, playstore and even youtube. Try it, it will work, enjoy and forget today,s defeat

[Q] How to open a support ticket to google?

Hi guys,
I have created a tiny app to automate my phone (a Samsung Galaxy S4) to do a simple task of my daily basics needs.
Basically it turns ON and OFF the bluetooth radio of my phone when I drive my car so it connects to the hands-free device of my car.
The application works great on my Android 4.3 device, however on Android 4.4 (KitKat) it doesn't work because it uses Google Play Services API for driving recognition and they (google) seemed to have changed the API on KitKat!
So my question is, can someone help me open a ticket to google to question about that changes on the API?
Google only allows tickets from anyone with one of Google Apps for Business, Education, Government, or Nonprofit accounts!
BTW: The app is named "bluetooth drive link" and is available at Google Play -> https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ferfig.bluetoothdrivelinkdemo
Anyone?!
