During regular use I am at 816 Max and 216 Min. When charging I use 1000 Max and 1000 Min. Screen off 216 Max and 216 Min. Battery life is alright, from 100% to 80% it decreases rapidly but from 79 to around 5% it is phenomenal. My phone will last around 12 hours of heavy use. I send a lot of texts 150+ a day and check facebook mobile about 5 times an hour.
Don't tell me to calibrate my battery, i've done it probably 100 times.
The objective of this thread is simply to see what other SetCPU profiles other people might be using.
from higher priority to lower...
Screen Off: 456-216
Charging: 608-216
Battery<10%: 456-216
Battery<30%: 608-216
Keeping 1000-1000 while charging is bad idea.
ideally power consumption should be none while charging so that battery can charge faster. I would suggest you to switch to the lower frequency while charging.
also, the 'Screen off' profile takes over if screen is off during charging thus giving you best of both world in case if you want to use fone while charging...(just set priority highest on screen off'
also, i have set battery = power saving mode settings.... through custom mode and also added peak off hours when i generally sleep
this lasts me more than 30hours on general usage and a day if i game and play music alot.
Brightness is set to auto all the times. although my usage environment never requires it to be above 40%

I just use the 608 max, 216 min for screen off and then a 456 max, 216 min for hours that I regularly am sleeping.
Does anyone know why we can only use certain seemingly random numbers? I would like to get much more fine tuned than differences of only ~150... And why is 216 the only min?? That's too high!

yes but 2nd last priority should be battery<10% (you have kept both at battery<30%)
My profile is that I uninstalled setcpu... I don't think it made any positive difference at all in battery life. I have switched to performance mode (phone charges at night) and I have been happy with the battery life. Other day 8 hour road trip with Slacker on for 6.5 hrs and screen locked on the whole time so I could flip around songs. Also exchange/email sync, news reader updates every two hours and some phone calls. I plugged in usb for maybe 3/4 hour to charge. At the end of day (took off charge at 6am and put back on charge at 1am) had 40% left. Biggest things for me to improve battery was get rid of running programs (setcpu/cache mate/etc) Also have the android task manager turn off some things when screen is dark and took email/exchange off push (sync every half hour)
Imho..

There seems to be a lot of speculation and hype over the razr maxx battery.
Some people get 2 - 3 days, some only 12 hours.
I for one, get about 12 hours with moderate - heavy usage (ocxasionally).
As we all hope for we want that 17 hour /21 hour talk time motorola tells us.
I am using a Gsm model, so i would have expected a longer talk time than the 4G lte versions. It is a 3200mah battery (4G gets the 3300mah?)
I only get about 12 hours of continuous usage (5 hours off the 17 hour benchmark)
So im going to ask everyone that owns a razr maxx to screen shot their talk time.
Using the gsam battery monitor app which gives a good indication of how much talk time left based on calculations and usage.
My talk time, stand by and average time left is here:

With cpuspy app; it is properly deep sleeping too and under locked to 300mhz on screen off:
1)What's everyone else's maxx battery life like? Please post screen shot
2) does your razr maxx battery read 3300mah or 3200mah? Mine reads 3200mah..
At the moment it's been 3 hours and it's - 8% already.. Only played Internet radio for 15 minutes which drained 2%

I'm finding it lasts just as long as my desire z, which had less than half the battery size! I get a day comfortably but that's not the 2 days comfortably I was expecting/hoping for.
Don't have a screenshot but on my last charge it was around 1 day 2hrs, screen on 2.5hrs, no wifi, gps/bluetooth off. Using gsam and cpuspy and all looks ok pretty much. Although, digging into gsam app sucker, I notice that kernel is always the highest and I also notice that the sensor useage (accelerometer/pressure) is always on roughly about the same as screen time but it has a LOT of wakelocks. Might try disabling that for a while.
But I feel I should be getting much longer than I do. I do have facebook but it's time on and wakeups don't suggest any abnormalites.
I see mention of some people finding out what size their battery was, how are they doing this? Battery monitor widget says 3200mA but is there another method people are using?
Also, I seem to lose roughly 5% an hour battery mostly idling, this seems far too much.
Screen shot 1st day had razr maxx. As a test I turned on absolutely everything I could, 4g, wifi, bluetooth, gps and maxed out screen brightness and managed to still squeeze out 16hours of battery life. The entire time I was listening to music, texting, surfing the web, watching video's while running a live wallpaper.

Well since I love getting into technical results with this Rezound since I got it, I'm pretty much really late to the game with this phone. My Thunderbolt took a crap on me during deployment and I've been spending the last 2-3 weeks working on it here and there to make it the best battery life for my OWN personal usage.
People may say *Oh dur turn on 4G* I know 4G eats battery, but where I'm at, I get very very spotty signal, Most I use is 3G sending MMS. I keep data off all day since I just text.
Since I get spotty signal, obvious answer is my phone will use more battery for itself. I'm am well aware of this. I have most of the stuff memorized I have done to this phone, rom wise, build.prop, Kernel Tweaker etc. So if you have any questions about what I've done just ask me. It's hard enough to search through a ton of threads and get VERY VERY vague answers. Seems like it's been like this since I jumped on the HTC Inc back in the day

I did take these with my camera because screenshot didn't wanna work properly with me so I just grabbed my camera and shot the pics off. If anyone wants me to post my usuage from yesterday via battery_stats I can.
EclipticRez 5.2.1
Funky v2.3, S2W disabled.
The best results I've found in regards to battery life is with using Kernel Tuner and giving each processor core a different governor (cpu0 Badass, cpu1 Conservative) and underclocking and tweaking some settings in MPdecision. Also, turn off auto-brightness. Take it to around 35-40% and just leave it there.
I also leave LTE on at all times, but I also use WiFi wherever available.
Granted, I don't have my extended battery (yet - just ordered one earlier in the week), but I finished yesterday with 17 hours and 2 hours and a few minutes of screen on time. That's just with the standard 1620 mAh battery.

Well I will defiantly try that out, I was also using auto the whole day since I was constantly inside/outside when the sun was blaring.
What are your current MPDecisions in Kernel Tweaker?
Also in Kernel Tweaker, does it not sometimes load your settings for the CPU? I heard it was kernel related and not ROM related. Sometimes my CPU0 would stay at 1080MHz where I set it at but CPU1 would reset to 1.5Ghz

Mine jumps back up to 1.5 on CPU1 as well, but that's a non-issue. Set it to Conservative. Make sure that the minimum is set at 384 MHz for each core. Otherwise it will just start jumping around (at least, that's what happens to me). I don't know if it's exactly kernel related, though. I was able to run Funky 2.4 on a Sense 4 ROM (Newt's OneXxX 6.0.2, I think) and cpu1 stick, though.
MPdecision:
Service Start Delay: 10000 ms
Pause: 10000 ms
Threshold Up - Load: 40 ms
Threshold Up - Time: 450 ms
Threshold Down - Load: 5 ms
Threshold Down -Time: 250 ms
Idle Frequency: 192

Thanks. Ya that's what I just set it too. I was using dancedance on both cores when I posted up the screen shots. Will see how it goes for the most of the day. Yesterday I sent out almost 300 texts maybe or more so that was a majority of screen time with 3 different people to say the least.
Oh and another anomaly I can't quite figure out. Some days my phone only pulls less than -100mA and then only ~-20mA on average in screen off sleep. Now today instead of doing the same thing yesterday, todays average has been more near ~ -280mA+ with screen off sleep
I have changed nothing on the phone. Did a restart, no change. Shut phone down completely, pull battery and reboot and still the same result. And even when people ask me what my wakelocks are, I post them and then no one knows what they are nor can I find documentation on the software itself.
did u tried to check it with gsam battery to see what drain or what waking up the phone ?
Try uninstalling some memory intensive apps and reinstall them. Sometimes restored files, for me, just need to be reinstalled.
Also, I just received my extended battery and I'll see how far I can go with it.
How has your phone been doing since the new settings?

Hi everyone.
I guess something is wrong in my settings or I don't understand this.
When I go to battery status I see there 83% remaining - 4h and half on battery. But the strange one is Display usage is 40% (highest). This is way to much. I barely use phone for stuff for like 15-20minutes max in last 4h and half. Brightness is set to 15%.
What do I do wrong?

What you mean? You can't get much more than 4-5 hours of screen time with you device.

No. He means out of 4.5 hrs uptime, battery stats are telling him he's had screen on for ~2 hrs of that, but he says he's only had the screen on for 15-20 mins.
OP - Forget about the % for screen on, what does it say for 'time on' when you press 'screen' in battery settings ? For example, my uptime is 2H 23M, my screen % is 36% (which would work out at ~50 mins) which is inaccurate as I've hardly had the screen on in that 2 & a bit hrs, but when I check 'screen on' it is accurate @ 4M 16S.

There you go. That's accurate. Obviously a bug of some sort/poor coding in Samsung's rom (or maybe even Google's code) that causes a reporting discrepancy. Mystery solved.
oh, I see.
40 % of the battery usage it was causes by the screen....if you were at 100 % and now it's 90 % battery usage would be 10 %. Screen took 40% of the drain so it caused 4 % of the overall drain, with 90 % left to drain that is.

Gaston's explanation is better. Using his maths, your uptime is 270 mins, 17 % is how much battery you've used (17% of 270 = 45.9) & screen time is 40 % of that (0.4* 45.9 = 18M 36 S). Probably not absolutely exact, but close enough. Battery stats are an approximation at best anyways (as clarified by Google).

and charge to 60% is twice as fast(30mins) but to 100% is only 30min diffrent 120mins
is worth buying it?
thx
It's worth every penny and a must without a replaceable battery. It's the only way I could get my phone to last throughout the workday was to quick charge at lunch.
I wonder what you work that you have time to drain your battery so fast
when I leave the house at 6am and come home at 5pm I have about 75 to 85% left. When I go to bed at 11pm I still have about 50%. (and no Stamina mode etc) Maybe I'm not that kind of power-user...
Anyways. I bought a quick charger (Anker Power Port+ 1 and Power Drive+ 1 for car) to be prepared for situations where I need power very quick.
To OP: Quick chargers are not meant for charging full capacity in high speed but for charging a certain amount very quick, but the end goes slower. So when you have about 10% left and you're for example about to go out at night, then you can quick charge it to let's say 40 or 50% in a short time. So your battery will last the night at best. That's the main purpose of quick chargers.
I have aukey qc 2.0. To be honest it doesn't charge as fast as qualcomm says. But still it charges about 55% in first 30min phone charge to is less than 5%. From 0% to 100% it takes about 105-110min
Qualcomm has done test in laboratory condition, I think it means no WiFi no data almost 0 apps etc.

Emails, texts, calls, and a lot of data input to spreadsheets. My phone is screen on pretty heavily from 8am until 4pm.
This was a good day here lol I average about 5 hours of screen on time and see that's about the same for everyone, except my 5 hours are 5 straight hours and really need to be 8 or 9.

Same thing here after updating. Android OS is currently at the top with 10% followed by Android System with 9% in my phone at the moment. System is draining more than the screen. Weird.
Same here. On DP5 battery life was better for me.
same for me, system and Android on top, weird.
What's the reported "Keep Awake" time for those processes? Right now, for me, is Screen on top with 10%, Android System and Android OS next with 8% each. However, the keep awake time is only 3m41s and 11s respectively. That doesn't look too bad, actually.
The OS requires almost a week to settle. Calm your tits.

I installed it last night and so far today I'm at 3% per hour after 9hr25min elapsed. This only has an hour of screen time but that includes about 20 HDR photos (which in MM would have KILLED my battery), BT and WiFi are both on continuously but not connected, GPS is on high accuracy, screen timeout at 1 min, several reboots cycles (trying to figure out how to wipe the cache), etc. In other words, I'm on track for a 30+ hour day, and I'm not doing one thing to try to conserve the battery. Granted there's not much SoT so far but still, I'm impressed. Even more so because tribal knowledge seems to think that the OS needs a few days to "settle down" before true battery life can be assessed. I'm not sure I really buy into that but if it is true, the battery endurance should be stunning...
Have been getting the same results in the Beta and now with final release having the same problem./ Battery life is no good. And doze doesn't seem to kick in even at night. Android os and Android System taking as much mah as the screen. Not good.

Here's what mine's doing so far. Note that it seems to Doze more or less the instant the screen shuts off.
Same issue here, battery life isn't super impressive.
These don't have much meaning without context: How are you using them? How much SoT? Are all the radios on? Etc...
Did factory reset. See if it helps. I'll post after it, "settles in"
Doze seems to kick in, but I don't know whether made it more or less aggressive than before (I'm guessing less), where battery gains are now, and how they're spread out. On MM, I was getting the typical 2-3% drop every night. For the past three nights with N, the drop is 5-6%.
Received the device a few hours ago and updated to N.
All default settings, no additional app.
No 3G/lte as I don't have yet a nano sim.
Bt is on but not connected.
Positioning is on battery saving.
Screen brightness is at 33%.
After 40mn of web surfing with wifi, or playing with the menus I lost 6%.
I'm happy with that :good:

Quick question how did you update so quickly if you just got it?
My second cycle but this time with Ninja Kernel and some kernel tweaks. With sync and location enabled the whole time. Lots of web browsing, video streaming, plus a few minutes of gaming and phone calls. It's not spectacular but not too terrible for me either.
Mine isn't bad. Updated from DP5 using OTA in TWRP.
Unencrypted, rooted, with EX kernel and some CPU profile.
