I'm running ComRom 2.0 with OTB 1.5. When I turn my screen off sometimes the screen immediately turns back on. I have tried closing all apps but it still happens eventually. Does anyone else have this issue?
Yes I have had the same problem on all the com roms. It used to bother me but now I'm used to it

Try changing to aosp lockscreen in tsm parts and then go back to what lockscreen you were using.

I run evil fascinate with otb 1.3 stock voltage. For some reason, even after fxpms, full wipe.....my screen no longer can be in the portrait position. I also can not utilize any lock screen. How do I fix this?

which version of evil fascination are you using? if you're still using the 3.5.1, i think theres a tsm settings in your settings menu, and there might be an enable auto-rotation option.
i updated to 3.6 and since updating, the tsm settings aren't there for me anymore, but i have no problem with switching from portrait to landscape

hmmm....that's really weird that your phone does that with two different roms.. i was gonna suggest you do a full data/cache wipe and flash ef 3.6 but since it happens even with com rom, im stuck as to what might be causing it
Bump for desperately needed help

is your sensor responding at all?
if not odin back to stock and see if it works there then if it still doesn't, chances are its hardware. But then if it does follow the directions to get back to EF
Same issue here. Odined back to DI01 then ota'd up to ED03. I kept having the problem. Called vzw and they are sending another phone. Said it is a hardware issue. Funny thing is it went away yesterday and has been fine since. I guess I will still swap the phone just to be sure.

I've just freshly rooted and installed CM7.1 RC1.6.1 with the MR2 radio. Part of the know issues seems to be slow GPS fix, but I can't seem to get a fix at all. The GPS symbol doesn't show at all on the status bar and gps status app doesn't do anything either. Am I missing something or is this normal?
Flash a rom with working GPS and turn it on. get a fix and leave it on, reboot into recovery and flash CM7.
Nothing yu did its a bug

before you do all that, try installing the gps toolbox app in the market and run that if you have not. May or may not solve the problem, but it will take less time.

So does this mean the GPS will be stuck on inside CM7?
I have same prob and with cm7 the above solution works I get lock within 3 seconds. It will work as normal. I used bamf 4.9 to get lock. Then restored my cm7

Every so often when I'll try to open Google Talk the screen will go dark for a second then go back to the main screen. This happens to me on all Sense roms, although not on any AOSP roms.
Has anyone else had this?

This same thing happens to me on some apps. When I re-start the phone it clears it up.
I get the same error on sense Roms. Easiest fix is to disable background data then turn it back on. Gtalk will load fine after.

For some reason my Atrix (running ICS CM7 PreFinal) has random screen on's.
For example, I can be using it, switch the screen off in the normal method, then as soon as I lay it horizontally on the desk it switches back on.
Anyone had this before? Or know how to fix it? I assume it is because of the proximity sensor getting confused?
Have you tried using a another ROM to make it isn't a hardware issue?

I am having the same issue on CM7 12112011 Nightly. I have random display wake ups and in addition I often have the screen turn immediately back on after turning it off.
I hate to say it but it sounds like a hardware issue. To double make sure it is, try a blur ROM. That's what the phone is used to running.

Maybe is some app that activate the screen when you change from vertical to horizontal check your configs and apps, also try another ROM without any app to see if it happens, i think another ROM may fix that.. idk, but i hope it helps ^^

Are you by any chance using Juice Defender?? I think that may be the cause of my issues (posted above). I have been using the same settings in Juice Defender with numerous ROMS, even previous CM7 nightly's and stable CM7 without encountering this before. I disabled the time out feature in Juice Defender and the problem seems to be fixed.

This is exactly the issue I have. I'm not convinced its hardware as the original blur rom didn't do this.

And to update, no I am not using Juice Defender. It is a defacto CM7 ICS build.
Not sure what the issue is here.
I'm running InfectedROM Eternity 8.4.
If I'm updating apps and the screen turns off, the app updating stops and then continues again when the screen is turned back on.
Also, if I'm downloading a file from the browser, the download stops and fails after the screen has turned off for a minute.
I do NOT have any power saving apps installed on my phone or setting, to my knowledge, set to have this happen.
Is the ROM set up this way or is there a setting that can prevent this from happening?
I'd like to keep my data running while my screen is off.

Never mind...
I was being stupid and forgot the fact that I'm underclocked when the screen is off. Ha.
