hi guys
m unable to back up my current rom via rom manager..
so plz tell me any other app or solution for that...
I've never used rom manager, but maybe booting into recovery (power button + home button + up button) and doing your back up from there could solve your problem. I'm always doing back up from there.

i tried it
i tried it but my phone is just restarting like hard reset...
my phone is not going on recovery mode...
plz tell me any other way for to put my phone on recovery mode
thanks for replying
m using android 2.2 version
software version is 10c
The combo is power+home+volume down. If that is just doing a hard reset then that means recovery hasn't been flashed. Try flashing amonRa recovery using the traditional commands method.

my evo 3d is a 1.5 so i rooted it with HTC and put custom recovery. Tried to flash other rom today and would just boot loop. Once i went back to recovery i am allowed to flash but same boot loop even after different roms, dirffernt format all zips. So i tried to reapply the recovery.......
Now i have no recovery, just stock at bootloader. Is there a default RUU somewhere i don't even care if i lose root at this point. Im phoneless....... ;
Thanks in advance.
So as long as your phone still turns on some what you don't have a brick. What I would do is a hard reset: volume up+volume down+power I think?
If that doesn't work try finding an RUU on Google somewhere I'm sure you'll find one.

1st do some research
2nd Rom Manager is useless to our device
Unless you're fixing permissions
3rd if you flashed touch CWM boot up into it
By holding power button volume up and down buttons at the same time
Search don't be lazy threads like this clutter the forums
And if someone has been nice to you or helped you out
Slap that thnx button!
Have a good day

Power phone off. Hold both volume buttons. Then while holding them, hold power button also. When the phone vibrates, let go of power button. When you see Samsung, let go of volume buttons.
Do some more research before you put stuff on your phone. You can mess it up by not reading first. Read much. Read often.

So I was doing the Odin flash part, and after it passed, my phone would of rebooted, but it just stayed on the samsung logo. So i restarted it, and its still happening. I can't go into recovery mode.
Yes it sounds like a soft brick. You can usually fix this problem with a USB jig.

Crap my friend doesnt have an SD card. he only has internal. How can he put a ROM in the phone?
Do you havea link to a thread? I can't find anything how to fix a soft brick.
Ima try this
Part 5: De-brick
1. First thing you should do is to try access CWM recovery (see above), then either restore a previous nandroid backup you made, flash a working rom that's on your sdcard, or put a working rom on your sdcard via your PC 's card reader and flash.
2. If you can't fix it via recovery, then put your phone into download mode. Flash a stock rom via Odin (see above)
3. If your Note won't turn on at all, you may be facing a hard brick.
4. You can also purchase a mini-usb jig which will put your phone into download mode even when above methods fail. I personally bought this one for $1.60 shipped. But basically any jig for the Galaxy phones should work.
That shouldn't matter, did you try going into download mode? If you can't then you need to by a jig, they aren't that expensive or you can make one yourself!

yes he can.
Then what you need to do is flash a stock ROM and try again but I recommend using a different kernel seeing as the first one didn't work.

Hey, Ultimate. I'm the friend that's in need. When I open Odin, do I keep the two ticked items the way they are? Or do I untick F. Reset Timer?
Keep them, just make sure re-partition isn't ticked and if it's only one file flash in the PDA section

OK that's a good sign, first time boots do take a while because cache and data need to be created so be patient, if it takes more than ten mins, go back into recovery wipe cache and dalvik cache and try again, if that doesn't work then also wipe data

Ok everything is working fine. I don't remember what I did, but do i download ROM Manager, then click Flash Clockworkmod Recovery and confirm? then go into recovery mode?
You must have been patient and see if you already have cwm installed if you do then no need but if you don't i suggest you find out other ways as ROM manager isn't very good I just helped someone out who was having cwm issues and they flashed it using rom manager but you can try if you wish

I think you have to have stock recovery if you want to install the OTA update.
Can you pull out the OTA file and upload it?
How would this help my case??

You need to be on the original unrooted ROM and stock recovery. Flash an RUU to go back to stock and then you can update to 4.3

Im having problems... my phone was reset to .11 and then i started the install. It was going ok, but stopped. I have a Red Triangle and exclamation mark. The phone will NOT reset though. Tried ADB, Fastboot commands, and holding down power button. Its stuck and wont reset. Any other way to reset it? I HATE not having a removable battery!

Did you try pressing and holding down the power button and volume down for a while, you should see the home and back button flash a couple of times then keep holding on to them and it should go to recovery.

Yep. Both holding down power/vol_down and just power. Each for more than 2minutes. Nothing. The lights flash, but the reboot never happens
