Hello, I have the latest iTunes, and the latest Kies. When I tell it to import my iTunes libraries it tells me no playlists can be found, but that's not true, I have about 20 playlists or more! I don't know if it has anything to do with it, but I'm on Windows 7; 64bit.
It recognizes my phone fine, and I can drag and drop music, but I don't want to drag an drop 12 gigs of music to my phone :s.
I've also tried running kies in Admin mode, but that hasn't helped.
Any ideas?

Did you try installing Kies again? i had a few problems with Kies detecting before...but the re installation did the trick. try opening kies in (run as administrator) mode.
one more dirty trick, Import the itunes playlists in .m3u format from itunes and copy it to the phone along with the music files.
A new Kies released .

Thanks, but that didn't work I even tried running it as windows XP compatibility modes! Any other ideas? I also re-installed.

Yeah, I updated it (twice) and it still didn't work
Since I have upgraded to Kies 2, this feature never worked for me.
I guess it is one of the 1000 bugs of kies.
Did you change you music location of your computer? (i mean not in c:\my music)

Really? What did you search? Because I am still stumped about it! I moved on to iSyncr + wifi sync for it, which does work. But it's sometimes slow.
What did you search to find the answer to that!?
Me i dont search its from reading the post a month or more back .
If i was top search it would be Iphone or Itunes .

Completely fresh Windows 7 32bit install (i.e. 2 hours old fresh) but attempting to install drivers through Kies gives this... error...?

What language did you choose when installed Kies? Besides that Windows looks like a freshly installed copy, update the Windows, maybe the language files aren't even installed yet.

Thanks for that, but Windows is fully up-to-date (that's what those 2 hours were spent doing). I'm trying to fix the problems I'm having here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1173687 so this isn't going well...
Language pack is British, same as the one used when installing Kies.
Big guess is that phone is f**** by multiple rom flashing without clearing existing problem from first flash .
Coupled with wrong reg entries for the phone in windows .
Uninstall Kies and uninstall all Kies components and registry entries .
Its not the Infusion rom at fault ramming rom after rom down the phones throat leads to problems the Infusion rom post gave clear instructions re FC .

im new to android and samsung.
when i start my pc and start kies there is an error message like this:
"kiesPDLR has stopped working"
i tried so many ways to solve it:
-uninstall and reinstall kies again.
-install another version of kies, newer version of kies.
-install stand slone usb android galaxy drivers of samsung.
-full uninstall kies with program "advanced uninstaller pro" with registry removing options and install kies again.
-full update my orginally licenced win 7 64-bit VAiO laptop with windows update and vaio update.
finally i had to format my c drive ! i formated my c drive and only installed latest version of kies again on it but after 2 days again that messages came back!!!

is there any solution or new sugestions? is there any topic in this forum or any refrece forums in the the world can i follow up my problem?

Have you started KIES as Administrator?
Is any firewall and/or anti-virus application running and "blocking" KIES?
P.S.: Why using KIES?
I used KIES only to install my phone's drivers to my PC.
For backup&recovery I am using CWM Manager app (contained in CF-Root kernel).
For accessing my files (pictures, videos, etc.), I am using Windows Explorer.
For updating firmware, I am using Odin.
Latest official firmwares can be found in different places, e.g. in Intratech's thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1075278).
So, no need for me to use KIES any more.

i disabled my firewall and antivirus and uninstalled as many as posible apps.
just i want to my lovly kies work good for my S II!! i think it is good software and becouse its comes with my SII too!!
i dont want to void waranty and nether briek my phone !!

Unfortunately I have the exact same problem.
The older version was fine.
Updated to the latest, and I get this error.
I'm sure it has something to do with .NET
I took out the line that referenced .Net 4.0 in KiesPDLR.exe.config
This has apparently worked for somebody. But it didn't work for me.

Ironically I uninstalled the latest Kies using Revo Uninstaller, reinstalled. And so far it's working now.

I just updated phone through PCC . Now i factory reseted my phone ..still not working..I am pretty sure a few hours ago all these songs played well
What all formats are supported?

The files are corrupted i guess..Now the problem is in ICS ROM..there is no USB mass storage??I mean it sud be under settings>>more..>>usb mass storage..

Buddy try reinstall update or download ICS 4.0.4 ftf file den flash with Flashtool....

well i just connect the phone to the computer and it connects like mass storage, it shows as a phone in my pc and once you access it, it shows the memory card.

I'm having a problem with my SIII.
Running all stock on it, 4.1.2. OTA update running fine for weeks, and my DCIM folder disappeared all of a sudden and all pictures from the folder today. Nothing was installed that wasn't from Play Store, nobody handled the phone except me.
I'm not new to android, flashed a couple of ROMs and fudged around with a couple of phones.
I really didn't find any thread to help me, so if you can. Can those pictures be recovered?
I now about Dropbox and other fail safe options, but now is too late for those.

Hi, guys I really need some help for about 2 weeks since I got my galaxy s4 and switched from my iphone I am regretting it so much because I dont use windows anymore..... I cant connect my galaxy s4 I am not new to rooting and custom recovery on android phones...

Sounds like you have Kies installed. Uninstall Kies and it should work.

This is so frustrating i have been trying to basic root to my phone for 2 weeks and cant get this phone to connect to mac I told you i have done a lot of reading and kies is unistalled and it still wont work,

Completely unistalled or just dragged to the trash can?
Important! You must uninstall Kies for Mac before running Android File Transfer. Otherwise, the application will not connect to your device.
To uninstall Kies, download the Kies for Mac software by visiting the Kies website.
From Finder, click Go > Downloads > KiesMac_xxxx.dmg > Uninstall.
Why do you even need to connect your phone to the mac to root? Unless you have a 64gb sd card your going to have to format the sd card by taking it out of your phone first.
Did all those things don't have 64 gig SD card so how do I start this root without connecting I'm not a noob to custom recovery always read and with this Mac junk these phones really do have major compatibility issue

The card just needs to be formatted correctly.
Once that is done you need to extract the files to the root of the card.
You should be able to format the card in the phone.
Take the card out of the phone and use an adapter to directly connect to the Mac.
That's what I did.
