I've searched here and dev forum, didnt find anything....
I want to cook(make) my own apps-stock.zip file with the stock apps from my cell.
I've tried AndroidSigner but it crashed my ROM(stuck on boot).
Anyone know where can i found a guide or how-to ???
Thankz
Hi i just made this right now from a flashable gapps zip. I havent tried but it will work.
Open the zip attached with winrar or 7zip open folder [ system ] than [ app ]. (Do not extract the content). Drop all the apk which are to be flashed there and done. Flash it. Let me know if it works. Its amend script so you might have to flash it with amonra.
In META-INF folder/com/google/android there updater-script that you might wanna look at.
Its worked, but i've to disable the zip signature.
If i just get the apks from my original stock rom (copy from nand img bkp) and put there, it will work??
Any apk will work.

I don't know how to pack all the files in a flashable zip, I've make a zip with 7-zip but when I try to install it, recovery say "Installation Aborted".
Someone can explain to me how to create the zip? I've an good experience on android but I haven't already create a flashable zip...
Thanks!
Would not have a clue my friend but by reading the following threads your best bet is to go to the following links
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1227549

Have a look at those links and those are the best options you have to create your own rom. Enjoy
It is possible to make a simple tutorial for me, I'm french and that's too hard to understand for me. I just need to pack in a zip file flashable. Thanks you .
Wouldn't there need to be a script to tell CW what to do with the files in the package/how to install them, etc ?
I wouldn't have a clue how to do this BTW, I'm just thinking logically around what I know about the way CW works so far as installing roms/kernels goes.

still check those links i gave you above. there must be a solution or guide to tell you how to pack a rom once you are finished putting everything together.my guess is that you do need an updater script and updater binary script something like that..check on those two links and have a look..or zip the rom using powerarchiver if you are on windows
just head over to http://perka.zapto.org and look for a empty system cwm.
Now you just have to make folders in this zip and add your files. example you want framework-res.apk and systemui.apk flashed.
So open the cwm zip and add a folders called app and a folder called framework.
The zip will be/system and so with the folders it creates /system/framework/framework-res.apk and system/app/SystemUI.apk.
You can just take the signatures from the zip and add them in your future zips or just keep copying this one.
The update script shows the screens on install so change text in there and it will show on install.
Or there is a guide to Edify Scripting here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1265120
I am very interested in ROM developing, the problem is i am a beginner. I tried to look for some guides, but they are quite hard to find to be honest. If i would want to modify stock rom what should i do? Although i could not find it i thought this could be an option:
- flash stockrom through odin
- modify stockrom
- make backup and copy system.img
- in a flashable zip you have the system directory, but how do you obtain this directory from system.img, what program do i need? Simple mounting program poweriso didn't recognize the image. I thought it might be possible to directly extract the required files from the odin package, but not find a guide for this?
Use MagicISO to extract system.img

Use 7zip to extract system.img from odin's md5 file.

dsiXDA kitchen should be used only to zip-align, deodex and repack everything to flashable zip. It isnt really good at extracting .img files (personal opinion).
Read ketut's blackhawk rom's 2nd post for more info about dsiXDA kitchen

Probably a dump question, but when i extract the md5 file i obtained only a boot.img file and a recovery.img file, system.rfs file and some other files. Where is the system.img file located? I can't load the .img files with magic iso.

Open magicISO. Click on open -> navigate to system.rfs. It will load up all folders inside system.rfs. Select all -> right click -> extract all

I'm interested in extracting a stock rom from my s5830i to computer
Can someone help me with that. I'm not a newbie
I have downloaded the update from the link below, and am confused.
it is a zip, with a 7zip in it, with a TAR in it. shouldn't the update just be the update.zip with the .img and .bin in the zip? Or is it really 3 layers of packages?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1444714&highlight=el01
here is the link to the update.zip http://goo.gl/6XtFD
Thanks
Rob
It should be named "update.zip" so you can flash it properly.
Use 7zip to rename it to update.zip
If you do decide to rename it from windows, most of the time it will have .zip at the end already, but won't show it. So if you add .zip manually, it will turn out update.zip.zip

Questions go in the Q&A section
i wanted to download from this thread the gallery&camera. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1966288&highlight=photosphere
but it would abort in the recovery every time.
so in the last page there, someone wrote-
"You need to unpack zip and install manualy, its not CWM flashable. Only full package is CWM flashable."
so i've already extracted it.
where to move these files in the phone?
i have 2 folders in the package-"app" and "lib".
thanks.
Are you on lsj leak?

Hello xda members
I downloaded a stock rom for android 2.3.3 for my device(Galaxy ACE) and flashed it using odin.
Trying to open wifi but it gives me an error and do not want to start.
I found that the extracting of system.rfs (to delete some APK file) and compressing it again in the rom causes this problem, So i flashed the stock rom without extracting system.rfs
and the wifi starts normally.
I need to delete and add some APK file to the rom. ANY HELP,please.

Extract the zip package, add your apk into system / app, compress zip, get a signature rom package. That's all.
