This is not the ideal thread to discuss this but anyway; you dont have to root your phone, it is not compulsory, but if you do, it opens up a whole new world of customization so that you can get the very best out of your x10. I am sure more experienced XDA members will explain in more detail.

You can also use the photon-torpedo method with adb if you have it setup.
Guys please DON'T post anything in the development section if you're not developing anything. This area is for devs we don't need it cluttered. Most of us browse the general section we could answer your question there. Its enough that we dont have much development going so when we see a new thread we get happy only for a let down lol.

I just deleted it and put it in q and a, but I'm not so sure any rom developers may look before it gets lost down the list. I don't want to post obviously in all the Devs rom threads to ask them all individually. Just thought I'd reach more help in this forum

There are not SO many developers, you could pm each of them if you need something.
Anyone has downloaded this great app? I want to make use of its full. Potential but I'm afraid. Of. Messing it up. Any user who can give. Me tips on how to properly use it? I hope I'm not violating any forum rules. I can't go to the specific forum thread of this app in xda since there are a lot of people with different models and tweaks specifically for their phone.

But I think you wont, so i'll explain to u:
ROM is the cellphone operating system version. Android is known as a very customiseble SO, so each rpm have its pros and cons. But it is MAINLY visible, so, each rom is for a especific model of cellphonex with just a few hardware and driver changed
Kernel is the basis of the SO. As android is Linux-Based, it is the SO code where have the drivers, and this kinds of stuff.

.i just updated my phone with .54 and now my phone keep freezing . Plus the firmware I got it is from HK . So it cant be root any other solution guys ?
