Does anyone know which hdmi mirror application that works with dell streak (android 2.2). The built-in hdmi out in my dell only allows mpeg4 which is ONLY through the built-in video player and no other video player like vital player, rock player and the likes.

Any word of help will do please.
Unfortunately no. It is because of how the streak (at least Streakdroid) handles HDMI. If you have a dock and an HDMI cable, open Cable Detection. Despite it being connected, it will not say an HDMI cable is connected. If we changed the kernel so that it would constantly poll for an HDMI cable, we might get somewhere...
Thanks a lot for the enlightment.
Hi there, so there is a fix for that!!

Hey,
i just got my MHL cable today and tested some of my 720p vids (~5Mbit highprofile) and i think that on my tv it doenst play as smooth as on the s2 itself.
Is it possible that the hdmi output is somehow slow or lagging ? Has someone
tested mhl yet?
regards
I have the same problem with every video file, no mater the video quality. What cable do you have? Samsung genuine?
firstly which firmware you have. secondary did you test other non-stock players?
for me is working with geniue and non-geniue (have two MHL cables) cables with no video lag...
in which format is movie?
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA App
I have genuine samsung one and it works perfectly.
I am watching 1080p video files with x264 codec and also experience lag, not a huge lag but the kind of lag that once you know its there makes you notice it (it skips a frame every now and then)
I have tried several players, but it seems the HDMI output completely ignores the display that the 3rd party players provide (mxvideo, dice video), and instead gives you the same playback video that you get from playing the video from within the gallery.
I.e. the display on the phone is not the same as on the TV - subtitles are not displayed, image size is always with borders, color settings are not respected.
I have an original Samsung MHL adapter, but not one specifically designed for the galaxy s2 (I just went to a local store and bought one).
Has had someone success with 1080p Movies (I'm referring to ~6-10gb full 1080p rips, split in 4gb chunks)? - They play back without a hickup on the phone, just not on the tv.
Thanks!
EDIT: I'm on stock 2.3.4 gingerbread firmware
My Atrix is no longer my main phone, but I still have an HDMI adapter cable for it and I figure I can use it to watch YouTube/MKVs on my HDTV. Is there a recommended ROM for this?
Also, is there any recommended software for the phone to play 720p/1080p files?

I get sound and great picture using MX Player, but when I hook up the HDMI to my Vizio TV, picture is really good, but absolutely no sound.
Open to suggestions!

Using a custom ROM?
decoder?
Thanks for the suggestion, but I'm kind of inexperienced in all of this.
How would I go about changing the decoder?
Not even sure what that is!
Custom ROM?

Don't think so. Just a stock TF Prime.
If it's any help, I did use DVD Catalyst 4 to convert my DVD's to my specific device.
Copied a few of those files from my PC to the MicroSD on my tablet and played them.
Like I said. Picture and sound on my Prime is fabulopus (using MX Player).
When I plugged in the mini HDMI cord to an HDMI input on my 42"Vizio, the picture is just as good as on the tablet, but there is no sound.

Hi,
Thank you for using DVD Catalyst,
I'm not sure if MX has settings for it, but make sure that it is set to hardware decoding for both video and audio. Alternatively, if you play the videos using the Gallery or Google Videos app, you should get audio through HDMI just fine.

You're welcome. I'll try both suggestions tonight.
BTW: Your software works great! I've converted 30+ movies over the last few days both from DVDs and previously ripped files.
All are automatically converted to my device requirements. The software places them in my Video folder and it ejects the DVD when complete. As for the previoulsy ripped DVD's; just stack 'em up by dragging and dropping into DVD Catalyst and hit Go. Each one takes about 20-30 minutes.
My desktop is an Asus box with an 8 core AMD processor. Windows 7 of course.
Even still, the software really pushes that chip! Lots of heat coming off the box and the fan kicks in big time.
Thanks again. I'll report back to the thread with results of both suggestions.
Best Regards, Steve
Hi, I use my Atrix as a satnav and media player in hotels via the hdmi output. It works great with mx player but netflix defaults to the phones native resolution. Does anyone know if there is a verion of netflix that supports 720p or 1080p via hdmi.
I'm using Nottach trix 2.3.0. if that makes any difference.
Cheers

Does anybody use their atrix for netflix hdmi?
Has anyone had success playing a Netflix video via the Netflix app using USB-C to HDMI adapter? I keep getting a black screen when playing Netflix or YouTube TV videos when connected to HDMI via USB-C. The app page displays properly but the video is black. I thought it may have to do with DRM so I switched to HDMI 2.0 with HDCP 2.2 port on the TV and didn't work. I also bought a new adapter that is supposed to work. Still no go.
I have noticed the same thing in the HBO app. I am guessing that the apps themselves have a security feature so you cant use a screen recorder. Some other video apps work but not Netflix or HBO and I think this would have to be an app fix.
