Sorry but I have not managed to install this on my streak, after trying to install it just restarts and makes youtube and the camera app go black and white, to fix this just do a restart (I was stuck with this for a few days until i reckoned I would try restarting)

I'm starting to think of this phone like a computer with a lousy OS installation. I reboot after every app installation.
I don't currently have this driver installed as I just wiped the phone and am still putting it back together so to speak, but when I did, I just left the defaults and I noticed that my game seemed a little (just a little) visually sharper and maybe a little smoother.

I've managed to get it to work, got some of the nvidia tegra 2 games working, got the solitaire one, the pinball, and samurai 2 vengeance one working. Would say though the hd version of samurai is exactly the same as the normal version no better graphics at all just bigger buttons on the screen.
Anyone manage to get that bang bang racing to work? after install it just says phone doesn't meet minimum requirements for game.

Is there any solution to settle the black and white camera and Movies app?
I used Simple Streak 1.2 and StreakDroid 1.9.1 and both of them still get that trouble.
I've tried many ways you guys comment but not working.

what black and white issue are you talking about? I'm running stock 351 and i get no black and white anywhere. The settings I used for the game was, I just enabled the Nvidia plugin and it worked for me.

I got it when i lauch the camera apps, it just display only black and white screen, it seem like greyscale mod and the Movie app is too. When I uninstall the CF3D, it's OK. But I still want use CF3D cause some games in my streak need it.
I'm running StreakDroid 1.9.1 and Simple Streak 1.2 before.
What should i do?

IVe got the same issue too. Black and white on movies even in game movies don't look right. Camera display is also black and white evn on vignette. Strangely the photos taken are in color....

The only way I found to fix this issue that I have to uninstall CF3D driver and then remove it before make a reboot.
So can't play some favorite games
I also have this bug with black&white photo/video in apps after installing CF3D driver.
Havent figured that out either I wanted to use chainfire to play games but the other issues aren't worth it....maybe one of the debs can figure it out and incorporate it into a rom with the right settings

Hi everyone,
The Labyrinth game is not right at all - the ball moves upwards when the phone is tilted. Very annoying - makes the game very difficult, if at all playable! Or do we have an anti-gravity device?

EDIT: This only occurs with the paid-for version of the game, not the lite version.
have you tried the calibrator app ?
what happens with that one?
you may need to *#*#307#*#* in phone to enable the emlist to be able to see the calibrator

I have enabled emlist on the phone and through calibrator saw that the phone was fine - I think there is an issue with the applications involved somehow...
As google street view works very well on compass mode - with right way up etc.
Also tried Asphalt 5 free and that is working (left and right tilt).
Another app - Bubble, also works fine...
Like I said most likely it is somehow with the coding of the games mentioned in the original post...

I installed labyrinth light on my streak and there is no problem with the accelerometer, everything work fine.
My streak is the US version with MCR2 installed (android 2.1).

MCR is Modaco Custom Rom, it's the O2 2.1 rom customized. It's a work in progress so it's still not available to everyone http://android.modaco.com/content/d...r-the-dell-streak-android-2-1-online-kitchen/
When I flashed my device I had trouble with the compass that was not reacting to my movement giving me a static "google sky", but the accelorometer was working fine. Then I recalibrated the compass (making a 8 shape when it's active) and it come back to work normally.
Perhaps your problem is not with the accelerometer but with the compass. Try an app that require the compass, like "gps status" and if it doesn't work, make an 8 shape with the hand (like the infinite symbol) see this link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sP3d00Hr14o

Since my official O2 2.1 update, there are some apps that no longer work correctly - the accelerometer seems reversed. Chalky, Grand Prix Live, Hour Face and I'm sure a couple more that I can't think of right now.

I have the same problem with Exzeus. It seems like games in landscape are fine like sky siege, skies of glory, hawx. But games in portrait have the left / right swapped. I tried the calibration through EMLIST and it did not help.
HyperJump is the same on my o2 Streak Left is Right and Right is Left =S

Which is cache this you use?.coz mine crashes after the video thing
working on my streak..running steve's 1.7.0 and is also working on stock 2.2.
i can't provide you with the game guys cause is not allowed on xda.
i can tell you witch version to look for to work.
version witch work is 3.3.2-install the apk..download data over wifi and voila is done.

Why can't I buy this app in the Android marketplace? I see they sell Asphalt 5 (iTunes already has Asphalt 6), so why not sell all their games through the market?? Hi I think i found a way to play modern combat 2 on the xperia play you go to load it from the apps menu and it will force close then you hold the recent apps button and select it there and it will load just fine but it still does force close sometimes during gameplay but just a quick fix for anyone eager to play this on the xperia play.
Note you have to select it from the apps menu first so it force closes if not it will not work.
Ok, so I got my AWS dell streak (with the bands for T-Mobile 3G) and I absolutely LOVE it. Im coming from a mytouch 4g, so while I enjoy huge screen, there are some things that just dont work the same.... Im not new at all to android, but I am a staight up noob when it comes to the streak (dell products in general) I was hoping you experts could point me in the right direction.
To start the phone came with 2.2.2 out of the box. I installed clockworkmod recovery, and flashed streakdroid 1.8.1 Very stable and fast. However I cant figure out some little stuff, and im sure its easy I just dont know where to look.
1. Lockscreen is stuck in landscape. I installed adw ex to flip back and forth from my homescreen, but my lockscreen is always in landscape....is there a simple way to force it back to portrait? I dont need all the fancy unlock widget crap, just protrait lol.
2. Some games (gangstar 2) will only play on a tiny potion of my screen...If I wanted a small screen I wouldve kept my Mytouch 4G!... I tried the compadibility mode in spare parts but that didnt help.
3. Obviously some gameloft games wont work yet as said in the streakdroid thread. Is there alist of which ones work and which ones dont? Also if we install sd files ourselves instead of downloading them is there a way to "patch" them to work?" Ive seen different "packages" for different devices ex. sammy tab, nexus s, and desire will all have different sd card data.... is there one that would work with our device?
4. Notification LED app worh it? Just need some opinions, I miss the leds blinking lol.
5. Im also interested to see what settings you all use in your "install.txt" for streakdroid. Also wondering if Perfmod made your phone not as stable. Would perfmod help out performance on some games? Or not worth the trouble?
6. What kind of cases do you all use for your streak? I just ordered the otterbox commuter, it does seem kinda bulky on a phone thats not small already lol.... I assume I wont be using this as my mp3 player while I work out
7. What video chat program do you guys use. I dont like that oovoo requires you to be "signed in" at all times to get a video call...I liked Tango and Qik on the Mytouch, but they are not working yet. They have found a workaround for the mytouch, Im curious if this would fix our FFC issues as well..

8. On my Mytouch 4G (CM7) there was an option under settings>applications that would let me hold the back button to kill the current running application. I enjoy using that over a task manager, is there a way to do that with our Streak?

Tango and Fring front facing camera are already working, I use otterbox defender, I did not use perfmod for stability purposes, my install txt includes launcherpro, 160 for resolution and volboost

OK I am having a new "issue"
1. When I use the volboost kernel (havent tried any other yet); my phone speaker volumes are very loud and high quality. But from the 3.5 jack my music is lower in volume and sound quality...any ideas on that one?
Not too sure what i did but all my videos playback choppy and in black and white.
I dl vitalplayer app from the market and chose software decoding over hardware and i get color in that player but not in the others now.
Thought to uninstall reinstall youtube but for some reason no option to uninstall yt???
Is there a universal setting on the phone needs tweaking?

I'm getting the same thing at random... Youtube and RockPlayer lite. Not sure what's going on, I thought it may be that I have build file changed to HTC Vision for Netflix. Problem seemed to occur roughly the same time.
I will change it back some time today and see if that's it.

Not real sure what those drivers are, but unless they came preinstalled with some app, I did not install them. This issue occurs most of the time, but sometimes (rarely) a video will be color.
Yea i dont have those drivers either.
It happened after i installed lbe monitor from this site.i think in blocking some apps permissions it might have broken something.

An uninstall of LBE and a reboot fixed all color problems.
Yup i had to uninstall lbe and run 'fix permissions'from streakmod recovery.

i had the same issues on Eclipse 1.3. i reverted back to stock rooted 2.3.4. i haven't flashed a new custom rom because of this reason. i'll follow this thread to see if there are any solutions.
I couldn't get YouTube to play yesterday on 3G. I haven't tried wifi yet to see if it's just my 3G signal or what.

I just watched a video I posted on YouTube over 3g and it worked just fine. Mind you, I didn't watch it in HQ mode since it was over 3g, but no jumping, skipping, etc. Worked just fine.
As for games, sometimes they pause, but not always. Overall, I'm getting better performance out of CM7 than I have out of any other ROM, stock or custom.
GTA 3 plays beutifully just like on Eclipse 2.0.1
One thing I have noticed when I ran Smartbench 2011 is that my Productivity and Gaming indexes dropped going from CM7 Alpha to CM7 Beta.
On Alpha (with the extra core constantly on), this is what I had:
Productivity: 3395
Gaming: 2581
After going to CM7 Beta, this is what I have:
Productivity: 1776 avg.
Gaming: 2383 avg.
I then launched system tuner pro and noticed that only 1 cpu was on. But, it appears as if the 2nd core never comes on, at least from what I can tell. If I tell System Tuner Pro to enable both cores and run my benchmarks, I notice that I get back the scores I had before.
Now, I have noticed a slight drop-off in games at times. My question is, is there a way I can monitor if the 2nd core ever comes on when it's needed? Is there an app I can run to monitor this and then I can see if/when the 2nd core came on and at what frequency it ran? Heck, are the any logs I can look at?
Just curious.
Also, one thing I have noticed. If I mess with the Memory Auto-kill settings (such as with V6 Scripts), I notice games get a lot laggier, especially Fruit Ninja. If I leave them at the default settings CM7 comes with, the games perform a lot better.

I didn't have any of these issues on eclipse (any version) so this is new to me.. YouTube works but it constantly pauses or restarts..Iv only tried over 3g so I'll try wifi today. On some other sites my browser wont recognize flash player or the video will be scrambled in black and pink streaks...the strangest thing.
Could the theme I'm using have anything to do with it? Its the epic blue and bold..

I just went to YouTube via the stock browser and the video played just fine over 3g. I also went to FoxNews to try and stream a video there and it worked just fine under CM7 Beta.
You DO have Flash installed, right? Just making sure! I know on my phone I have both Adobe Flash and Adobe AIR installed.
I had AIR installed and had to install flash player on this rom just to get any bids to show up in the browser...never had to on any other rom or stock. I might just reflash the rom and go from there...otherwise its back to eclipse til the next cm7 update

That's because the CM7 doesn't come with everything installed. It's a bare-bones ROM where as the other ROMS, including stock, include the Adobe stuff in it.
Like I said, I have it all installed and YouTube and other flash-sites show up just fine in my browser without any issues. The sound is fine, the video is fine, no choppiness in them at all and that was over 3g.
Ok thanks. So at least I know that its not the rom. Ill have to try something. Clearing the data on apps fixed most of the force closing issues but nothing has fixed the video issues yet. Unless its the theme or another app in the background interferring.. scratching my head on this one

If anyone else has the YouTube issue just go to the market and uninstall the YouTube updates...YouTube stays installed and then works without the constant pausing and restarting. Games are still pausing but enter want to delete my data to try to fix that
