I want to be able to have my phone automatically copy my titanium backup files to a local server on my network. But the only app I see that can do something like that is titanium media sync and I've already spent the money on the full version of TIBU. Does anyone know of something else that can do that?

Maybe SugarSync.?
I dont want it to upload to a service from my phone. Connection is too iffy. I want it to upload to my computer when I'm on my local network.

Yes, as far as I know a program called discover pro allowed you transfer your files to your phone without a cable(via wifi), but I don't think it'll be recognized by iTunes...
Yet, hero doesn't need iTunes to sync music at all, you just copy your music to the folder and it'll find it.
Hope these may help.
Hi there,
I am looking for some Android Sync softwares which can syncronize data between PC and Android cell phones wirelessly.
Is there any good one?
Suggestions:
Short answer: "it depends".
For music I have used isyncr, which syncs to iTunes. isyncr lives on your SD card & will bring in playlists. Look in the market. There is a Wi-Fi add-on that you can also get from the market.
Of course, Dropbox & Box.net can sync folders through the 'net. I think Box.net is finally going to ship their app soon. Dropbox is available now in the market.
I know you want wireless, but using a wire and "Sync Toy" (a Microsoft product, believe it or not) can sync quickly. You can set it to sync any folder(s) on your computer with folder(s) on your SD card. I use it to sync pictures, docs, etc. It works fast so you'd only be attached for a bit. You can set multiple sync plans, which makes it a quick & easy way to keep a current backup of your SD card as well.
Does anyone know a way to be able to sync/backup the contact pictures so they remain at a good quality ? Backing up via Google sync or Sony Ericsson sync will backup the profile pictures at a very low and awful quality, SyncMyPix (which syncs with facebook) gives a terrible quality either, and setting profile pictures in MyPhoneExplorer doesn't do a good job either. The top wide image and the image in the dialscreen are just terrible in all cases
And the same question goes for the social network links (Facebook/Twitter, and Hyves for the Dutchies) that you link to a contacts profile. These can't be backupped now and everytime I lose my contact list and restore it, I have to relink every Social Network to their profile, and re-add the old decent quality profile picture.
Anyone got an idea for these two issues ?
Did you try the built-in backup to the sd card?

I did, and it didn't do the pictures or the linked contacts.

well, the update to the firmware is supposed to have a 'better' contact list, one that will update the profile photos from the twitter or facebook feeds.
I know that the phone supports the standard .vcf format as when I sent my few hundred contacts from my old SE phone to the X10a via bluetooth, that's what it showed it was reading in. In theory, .vcf should support the links since it supports email and websites. Photos, no.
However, looking at the phone connected via bluetooth, there doesn't seem to be a way to send the contact book that way. Which might again be corrected in the update since we would have a newer standard of Bluetooth embedded.
I think the only thing left is Sony's Sync on their website if you can configure it on the phone (not allowed on ATT without generic rom) or to use the Sony PC Companion's Sync link to do a back up. I haven't played that much with the newer PC Companion but again, the Sync portion doesn't work for me with a ATT Rom.
Does anyone know of a good way(hopefully automated/automatic) way to send photos from my phone to the tab 10.1? The camera on the phone is a lot better than the tabs built in camera, and so is the portability of the phone to take photos.
I have reccently found titanium sync media, and while it offers the option to sync with dropbox, I would like to know if there is app that doesnt have to upload to the cloud first. wifi or even bluetooth would be acceptable.
thanks
might be a good idea to tell us what phone you have...
I am using an inspire 4g, running GB...
You can do it easily with sugarsync.
your photos on your phone will be automatically saved in the cloud in your "magic briefcase" folder.
On your tab, locate the pictures folder into the app, long press on it and choose : '"sync to this device"
Don't forget to go in the options, set the parameters to be gentle with your battery.
You could also send it to yourself through e-mail.
thanks for the suggestions, I am aware of cloud options, currently using titanium media sync + dropbox to sync phone to cloud and on tab, cloud to tab. works well, but as mentioned before, I would rather not have to really on uploading to cloud first, but a way send straight to tablet from phone, maybe with an adhoc wifi connection tablet and phone, or just a bluetooth folder sync? I have a limited data package on the phone, this is the primary reason for this.
Thanks
Until you find another solution, with limited data plan, you could wait until you have access to wifi and then send the pics. It wouldnt cost you any data off your plan.

I just discovered sugarsync and love it... it syncs automatically, not dropbox. So you always have offline your pictures and no data plan is needed.
In the settings you can set the app to sync only in wifi, or only plugged in AC etc ... plus you have 5go free online. (A LOT of pictures lol)
Once you're done you don't have to care anymore. You always share the same pictures between your phone and the tab.
i will have to checkout sugarsync, but the setup i mentioned with similiarly.
files are uploaded to dropbox automaticly from phone to a folder, and that folder is setup to sync with the dropb on the tab. also has power settings to control if to use wifi, 3g, etc and on AC adapter only
A seemingly simple question but I'll be darned if I can find the answer anywhere on IBM's wiki or anywhere else!

I have a large Notes mail file and syncing my mail is a pain. Can anyone tell me where the mail file is locally (on the SD card) and/or what the format/naming convention is? I have tried to look for files modified by date on the card to figure out which one is the mail file. Basically, I want to sync my mail, move the file to a pc for backup and then pare down the server mail database. I have a paid account which gives me mobile access but not remote CLIENT support. I have Notes 8.2 desktop client and really just want to 'move' my old mail to my PC and off the phone and server as it takes forever to sync it to the phone and the storage cost is expensive. The file is about 350 mb on the host server but they don't offer Notes client support for an affordable rate and I would only need to do it once so why spend tons to do it if I don't have to?
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!
