[Q] Offline messages in Gmail app

How can I enable offline message view in the Gmail app? At the moment I cannot see the folders / messages I have previously viewed when offline.
Thanks!
You can choose the labels and days to be synced in the settings of the gmail app.

[Q] Facebook picture sync

How do i sync contacts with facebook pictures without getting ALL my friends from facebook to the phone.
"Sync existing contacts only" doesnt work. Mine just syncs all my FB friends numbers to my phone.. and doesnt even update the contacts picture on phone..
same problem....but some contacts were updated and some others not
i have had this problem as well, and there is a small work-a-round when in the contacts menu i go to Options > Visible contacts > Edit , and simply only have the desired contacts show up.
as for your picture problem, i have always done this by hand simply merging the contact with the corresponding facebook account
Yeah thats a workaround, but then when you start typing receiver in text messages for example, random people from facebook with number pops up.. kind of annoying.
SyncMyPix, is a app that does the job but i would want FB native app to do the job..
If anyone knows, please share!

[Q] Contacts driving me crazy

Hi,
I have skype, whatsapp and a few other apps installed on the phone and their contacts are showing in the main contacts app. I use Google contacts as my main source for contacts.
I want only the contacts from my Google account to show. I can use the 'contacts to display' option to select the google account but this is not good enough as apps like gosms take all the address books available and uses them and as such is pulling old names from whatsapp etc.
How can I remove all the contacts from the contacts app with the exception of my google contacts. If I want a whatsapp or skype contact I will go in to the relevant app.
Please help!

Deleting whatsapp account just causes it to reappear and deleting skype is not possible, just gives a message saying I would need to wipe the phone to get rid of it.

on the Contacts App look for "Contacts to Display" it's right before the settings
this is for messaging, not in contacts. In contacts everything is normal but when i try to add contacts in messaging, it shows double
I would like to know if this is also possible, It's annoying to see all the contacts in messaging apps

Restoring factory settings while keeping contacts?

Hello everyone.
My phone started behaving weird.. it keeps switching to vibrate by itself. I'm not sure yet whats causing this but I searched around and I found that it might be caused be some app. So I'm thinking about restoring factory settings, but I want to keep my contacts intact.
The thing about my contacts is that I spent a lot of time joining people's phone numbers with emails, Facebook accounts.. etc.. I tried to export a backup using Contacts app but it said some info fields might be lost. So I'm wondering if there is a way to keep contacts as s after resetting the device.
Thanks in advance,

Go into Settings > Accounts and make sure all of the ones you have contacts with are synced and if you have some that are just stored on the phone only, make sure to sync to your Google account.
Will this keep Facebook, and other profiles linked to their contacts in the contact app?
Also, I deleted some Facebook contacts from my contacts app. If I synced Facebook app, will this remove the contacts from my Facebook account,? or re-adding them again to the contact app?

When you install the Facebook app back to your phone after factory reset and login. It will ask you to sync your contacts with the Facebook Profiles. In other words. This will link your contacts with the Facebook profiles on your friends list. And no it will not remove the contacts from your Facebook.

But note that when I installed fb app and synced contacts with the fb profiles, most profiles (I believe the ones that had no phone number) were not linked to contacts. I had to use the Join feature in Contacts app to link them one by one. I wouldn't have to do it again, would I?

Yes you would they don't save joined. Most just in case you don't install one of the apps again.
There is no way to do what your looking to do without redoing them.
