Hello
I need help, I am Brazilian and I sought help in various forums Brazillians But I get no response, that is why I always say Brazil> Africa <All other countries, here you have even a single category for the Xperia Arc, This **** **** not even released here in Brazil .. but anyway, let's get to it:
I need to be a Super User, you must call it something like ROOT
I know the Xperia arc has five desktops, one on the other, i want to make the wallpaper LongCat, starting with him in one piece and when I change the desktop I can see the other part of the cat, I'll need to multiply lateral resolution of the Xperia Arc by 5 to get better?
0:50 to 0:53
The Wallpaper moves, so it can not be the same width as the pixel resolution 854 x 480 him, as he has 5 desktop wallpaper width should be
5 x 480 = 2400
In this case, the wallpaper would look like this:
{

"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Its right?
And more ...
I want the best Software / Apps To The Xperia Arc, like E-readers, Music / Video Players, Web Browsers, Office / pdf / doc / xml editors and others that i need to Apps Have Xperia in the Arc.
And please do not use when they speak slang because I translate what I do not understand I can be alone and confused
Thanks
-root doesn't exist for Android 2.3.3 in a practical form right now ( however, if you didn't update your Arc yet, you can use GingerBreak )
-no idea if your desktop wish is even possible
-regarding applications, ArcMedia Pro is the best videoplayer for Arc atm, rest are bad compared to it ; as for other apps, just browse the market for a bit and see what you like, I personally use ThinkFree for office, Opera mobile for web browsing, ezPDF for PDF files
Thanks, I do not have the Xperia Arc yet so I'm asking these things
You can get root (SuperUser in your case) on 2.3.3 by using Gingerbreak on firmware .181 and then update your phone through wifi. If you get your Arc already updated to the latest firmware you will have to flash it back to firmware .181
This is if your Arc has no brand. I'm not sure about branded versions.

Should be easy, try an app like wallpaper plus or multiple wallpaper.

What on earth are you talking about? Its easy to get rooted 2.3.3 on the arc, even with a locked bootloader, see link above.

Hi Guys,
Is it possible to have TimeScape widget on Sony Tablet or may be the Xperia Launcher itself??
I would like this too! Its actually quite usefull from gingerbread 2.3
Hi guys,
Anyone tried to import Timescape or some other xperia features to tablet?
Apart from the res issues, it'll also rely on Xperia specific framework which we don't have.

Seems nice! I like this launcher... let see if can be improved.
Any one is using another launcher? I don't like very much the original one.
Off-topic: is it possible to uninstall some system applications (ex:music and video player, gallery,....)?

Without root, I don't think it'll be very easy to uninstall those system applications. Once rooted, we might be able to freeze or uninstall them either manually or through something like Titanium Backup. Until then, we'll just have to put up with it.
now the tablet is rooted, any success ???

As for timescape, just get the apks and install them. Tell us if timescape works

An updated version of the original Cosmic Flow Live Wallpaper from Xperia S with 7 different colors is available for our phones.
Gingerbread download link here.
Ice Cream Sandwich download link here.
Anyway it is touch and scroll sensitive.

Installation guide:
1. Uninstall any previous installed Cosmic Flow live wallpaper, otherwise it won't install.
2. Install it as an ordinary app. (Root is NOT required.)
3. Reboot if you have any problems running this wallpaper. Just make sure you have installed the right version depending on your OS version.
4. (OPTIONAL) Install this script to get better performance running ANY live wallpaper.

i little of everybody make to much...
thanks mate, i'm looking for this!
Thanks. Really goodlooking wallpaper.
Hi everyone, wonder how in the Xperia S hands-on videos, the live wallpaper seem more vibrant or seen another color you dont have? It's because there are more than one version of the official cosmic live wallpaper! I have here the new(er) version with 7 colors.
However, unlike the one in OP, this one might use different OpenGL libs so performance may be better or worse. Some ROMs would also be incompatible, such as ICE Lite. Anyways, please try and see if it works for you!
OP, I didnt want to start another thread for this so hope you dont mind me adding to it.
If this version is not working for you, please check this post.
It makes a little lags when switching workspace, but it's nice at all

The problem could be that the new version uses new adreno libs from SE that would be in the Xperia S. I think its an optimization issue more than hardware incomptence. On ICE Lite the adreno libs are not compatible at all.

looks good on sgs2 but most of the time force close ;(
FC here, Motorola DEFY with Gingerbread!
Galaxy S I9000 CM9. It's lagging like a boss. :'(
runs horrible on Gnex... Is the old one still available somewhere? The one that works normal with non-xperia devices?
Galaxy Nexus
Looks incredibly good, too bad it isn't optimized for many phones, like the Galaxy Nexus...
Thanks for posting !
Yes I know there another thread asking about the Evangelion phone,BUT those thread are asking for the 2009 model.
So what I want to know/ get my hands on is this 3D launcher called "Magi". The new Evangelion phone( Sharp Aquos SH-06D) is pretty much just a ton of widgets.
As seen below
{

"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
The phones website tells you which widgets are where and everything you need to know to get this amazing look!!!
Found here : http://www.evangelion.co.jp/nerv_keitai/#dimension_widget
So if anyone know where I can download/buy the Magi launcher OR would this be something we've have to wait till after June 16th?
Any useful info would be useful. Thank you~
I want that phone so badly (and the 2009 model) it's such a shame they all use hypersim and it's such a faff trying to get their phones working outside of Japan.
I don't know I could careless about the phone itself. I just want those widgets/ launcher~
Same here, I don't care if it destroys my SGSIII OLED screen after 6 months due to only displaying (practically) one colour.
Take it no one ever heard of this or something?
I think we are just going to have to wait until release and trawl some Japanese Android blogs a few days later. I watched a video of it running and it's not that smooth, don't know if that's just an early build of the launcher, or due to the 3D caning the processor or something like that.
I will check Nico Nico once it's released, someone is bound to dump the ROM and extract the launcher quickly.
*bump foar great justice

Wow. this thread is very old.. I've been interested in Nerv's launcher and widgets long ago but then forgotten completely about it. Yesterday, I found this amazing theme at Play Store that uses UCCW and I'm currently running it on my Nexus 4. Is there any news or updates about its original widgets? The UCCW's don't really work well and i hope there will be some awesome dev that are kind enough to port them I tried looking for the phone system dump but I find nothing :/ Any updates from you peeps?

This is an proprietary app of Sony for mobile devices. This app is basically a collection of World Heritage photos taken by Sony “α” cameras at various times during the day!
This allows you to view the same shot at various times of the day by vertically sliding down the time display. Swiping the picture upwards will reveal an options menu to share the photo, read about on Wikipedia and see a map.
It's running on Android 2.2+ and for display with 480 x 854 pixels or 720 x 1280 pixels!
Below's demo video and pics of Ha Long bay - my country!

This fine fellow seemed to have solved it but never went back to explain how.
I just want to record lower resolution videos (480p?) so they're faster to send than full 1080p ones.

I remember back in the earlier Xperia days (think Ice Cream Sandwich), there used to be a system file that can be edited in a text editor to configure the default app's resolution and whatnot. I just can't remember which file that was.
Also this is the only option available:

Plus I know I can just use a 3rd party app but I kinda want to get it resolved for the built in app first if possible.

now that you mentioned it I remember this.. this was a long time ago.
Here is a modded stock camera that should be able to change resolution according to the screenshots:

I looked around on the forum but can't find a thread related to the z ultra. But I know I've seen it years ago because I remember that I have modded the resolution and bitrade myself with config files just like you mentioned..when the thread was hot news.

I tried to flash the new camera but it's now lacking the microphone mute option. I did, however, find the solution to my problem. I restored to the stock camera and then opened the Camera Apps section (lower left icon) and picked Manual instead of Superior Auto. Then I finally had the resolution choice while still retaining the mic mute option that the newer one you linked lack.
