Flashing my HERO, from start... NEWBIE ;-)

Hello I just purchased my hero yesterday and this one was deliveried with android 1.5...
I would like to update with the latest firmware wich I think is the 1.6 and software ?
Can you please explain me or redirect me to the right information...
Step by step would be nice...
thanks for your help
There is no "official" 1.6 (Donut) for Hero at present, and what is available unofficially is not functionally complete.
There are various 1.5 (Cupcake) ROMs kicking about all based on the 2.73 build. Search the Hero ROM development thread for more details.
Regards,
Dave

is there a lot of change then with the latest cupcake rom ? I have got actually the 2.6.27 VERSION
when I try to update it trough the htc.com update it says me that I don't have the right to do it ???

updating from htc directly depends on whether you have a branded version of the hero or not.
Best thing for you to do would first of all,
1) root your phone
2) install a custom rom based on the 2.7 update
search for ' how to root...' and then search for custom modaco roms.
basically all the tools u need would be just sdk , recovery image and the drivers for ur phone ( which is included when u installed the htc sync)
For me I don't have a branded phone, but how to be sure of it ?
is it necessary to install a custom version ? can't I install an original 2.7 update ?
thx

you can install the original 2.73
somehow, if you are not being able to uograde because of identification problems.... just root your phone, and go to modaco site. paul provided us with custom roms but as well as original roms ready to be applied through zip formats.

Latest official mozart rom sticky thread

Hello. I'm asking this forums gentle admins to create a sticky thread in which Mozart's users can post the latest official HTC roms they receive via Zune.
By doing this one can check and see whether he has the latest firmware and updates for his particular region ( Europe or Russia or Asia etc. ).
If you give me the ok and the permission to do this I'll post my versions .
Thank you in advance
Great idea, Mozart forums lacks from something available in other devices' forums, like HTC Desire http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=809328

Change to a official rom

Hello,
I have a question to do, can I change the custom rom I installed on my Lumia 710 to an Nokia official rom?
The rom I have installed has a Lumiatix^7 (I don't remember the version) but the SO Version in this rom was: 7.10.8835.35, this was an WP 7.8,
and I want to return to WP 7.5 (tango) official version of Nokia.
I can do it? If I can how I do it?
Thanks.
sorry for my bad english.
Edit: I can flash an rom of Windows Phone 7.5 over this custom rom of Windows Phone 7.8? Thats is my question.
No No No No...
I try to do this too.
But i believe that it's not possible. I havn't found how to...

HTC Mozart - Installing custom roms

hello my friends,
i moved from a android device to the HTC Mozart a few months ago and now i want to try to install a custom rom on it. With the anroid device i had no problem rooting and installing diffrent roms and etc. But now i searched the forum and i am struggling to find the right "tutorial" for my device on installing a custom rom. I hope you dont mind that i am posting a bit "late" , because the phone is not really up do date, but i would appreciate if someone could drop a few links and directions on how to do it and which rom you recommend.
Some device infos.
The Phone is from Germany, (T-Mobile), and i can use it with any sim card i want ( i think the right term for this is debranded).
Specs:
system: 7.10.8862.144
firmware: 2250.21.51201.111
hardwareversionumer: 0004
bootloaderversion: 5.12.2250.1 (134578)
I did the update over Zune to the wp 7.8, never had any problems with that.
thx in advance

Still no Android 7 for my A5 2017 - Custom ROM considered

Hey,
I'm new here so greetings to everyone .
I'm using a SM-A520F (UK import) and it's still on Android 6.0.1.
Basically I'm considering flashing this update with odin but I got some questions first .
My device's baseband version is: A520FXXU1APLL -> Does the BB version matter when I install the new ROM?
Can I install Android software from all countries? (I've read this will work..?)
I found Android 8 for my device on sammobile (AUT Version) with BB version A520FXXU4CRD5.
Would this version work for my phone?
Greetings
