[Q] Best Keyboard in the Market? - Galaxy 3 Themes and Apps

Someone help me out here. I'm tired of the stock Samsung Keypad. The keys in the QWERTY keyboard are too tiny for my fingers, and 3x4 is fine, but not that great
Which one do you think is the best?

Personally I use the gingerbread keyboard from the market.
The keys are a bit bigger, and it's text prediction is amazing. And you can tap on any word you've typed and make corrections, even if it wasn't the last word typed. If you know what I mean.

I agree ^^ I love tthe gingerbread keyboard

Try SwiftKey x beta! It's great!

@ barqers & ezsoulja :
Thanks but I've already tried out the Gingerbread keyboard. But it doesn't have a 3x4 keypad. So its hard to text while you are at the breakfast table!
@ Humpie :
I'll check out SwiftKey X now! Thanks

Smart kayboard pro using it since I've SG3

Try "Touchpal" (https://market.android.com/details?id=com.cootek.smartinput ).
Its the best and fastest 3x4 i've ever had. The keys are large enough, "Slide down" numbers are just awesome

hi
try big button keyboard its nice and big and easy to use free and paid version available in the Market
im using it for quite some time very confy for my big fingers

@ 2happy2beu : Woah! I really like Touchpal. Its got both 3x4 and Qwerty. And its so easy to change the case and input numbers. Thanks!
@ haree : I just saw the screenshots of "Big Button Keyboard". Looks like it'll need a long time getting used to. But thanks anyway. Appreciate the help

Check out "MultiLing Keyboard".

Now I'm completely confused! Every one seems the better than the other!

I recommend Gingerbeard Keyboard 2.3+ (paid version). It is the best I've ever had, I can't live without it. Paid version has a little bit more useful functions than stock Gingerbeard Keyboard. Also these are themes and customizable buttons (size).

True!
Best keyboard ever.
Great options like plugins and dictionaries.
In setting you can select a lot of things like:
keyboard themes
input languages
::wider keys::
::keyboard size::
and much more, so give it a try.

Yeah. I like this one!

If you use english or any ''popular'' language get swype beta, it's just awesome when you get used to it and it doest require much precision with your fingers so its easy to use, with other languages i find the gingerbread keyboard to be the best

SWYPE is Best........... nobody can overtake this

Best keyboard?

What do you think is the best keyboard?
Personally I think swype is overrated. Gingerbread seems to be better but still lacking. I'm using smart keyboard now bc it has a free trial. I think I would prefer better keyboard bc of the skin support out there but it has no free trial. What do y'all think?
I personally use swype, even if it does miss some words occasionally.

+1 for smart keyboard... t9 mode for simple one handed typing with swipe right for QWERTY. Plus custom smilies and skins.

Smart keyboard pro, keyboard from Gingerbread 2.3, HTC ime mod, then swiftkey imo. Swype is a great concept but it falls short for far too many reasons.

I have Smart Keyboard Pro, Swype, and the Gingerbread keyboard. I think Gingerbread is the best of the three.

It does feel a bit small, but its so much more responsive than either of the other two. I think you just have to practice it and get used to it first.
I like the fact that SlideIt predicts the words you use the most.
Although, if you want to use another word, you have to pay attention to what you're doing. Otherwise it will use the word most used automatically. But is works wonders most of the time!
I'm really digging Smart Keyboard Pro [:
The T9 mode is sweet-- great for texting with one hand
Smartkeyboard pro. I like the skin support much better, I have about 30 skins, and they aren't clogging up my app tray because the skins are just zip files that you put in a folder called "skins". Its also extremely accurate and fast.
HTC_IME.
The original HTC Sense Keyboard is my favorite.
I don't like Swype or the default Android keyboard.
this is just a question is there a htc ime keyboard that works on cm7? if so can someone send me the file.

Its been so long since I've used the HTC keyboard I cant even remember what it was like. But...
Have you tried the AOSP Gingerbread keyboard? Its actually a huge improvement over the eclair/froyo Android keyboard. Its up there with Smart Keyboard Pro. The only reason I use Smart Keyboard Pro over the Ginger keyboard is that SK has skins

Oh wow thank you so much. Other ime's were just crashing on my aria. This one works great.
I have been using swiftkey pro for a few weeks now. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to display correctly in many apps because of the aria's small screen. Sometimes the keyboard covers up the text box, especially in landscape mode.

I'm glad it works for you.
I have a "Frankenstein" setup on my phone, which combines most of the best of each ROM (Liberated and CM7).
I like the look of Sense, but I also like CM7's flexibility and other features (like built-in SIP).
I also like some of the Sense widgets (e.g., Friendstream).
So I loaded up CM7, then LP Sense UI, which makes the phone look like Sense (with widgets, too).
Adding the original keyboard makes the phone easier to use.
Have fun!

Ice cream sandwich keyboard

I installed the Ice Cream Sandwich keyboard on my DHD, and it works perfectly. Then I installed it on my SGT 10.1, an it installs just fine but when I try to go to the settings it force closes every time. Is it not supposed to work on the SGT? Btw, I'm using Overcome 2.0.0

Just a fyi : the ice cream keyboards for lower versions than Android 4.0 don't use the sophisticated prediction model used by the ICS keyboard (which depends on 4.0 APIs). The author of the keyboard expressed it well. It is a migration of the old prediction model with the new theme and suggestion lint. It also hasn't bigram prediction.
to be honest, you're much better off getting Thumb Keyboard and using the ICS theme!
Looks great and works really well with the Tab!

you see the three buttons horizontally at the bottom of the screen in the first screenshot and vertically in the second screenshot, those change the keyboard layout as depicted in the button image (I discovered this by accidentally tapping one and seeing the layout change!)
The additional funky thing about the "offset to right" layout is that thanks to the wonder of multitouch, you can grip the tab with any of the "black" area to the left and the keyboard will still work as normal!

What keyboard is anyone using for ICS? And a little help with deodexing

I was just curious as to what keyboard everyone is using on ICS ROMs. I used to use Smart Keyboard Pro, but it hasn't been working as well for me.
And I'm trying to deodex the newest Ineffabilis, but it's not working with the kitchen. Any ideas?
ICS Keyboard from the market. Works well and looks right.
I am using the one from the market too, but I really want the official ICS AOSP keyboard. Seems it won't work right as is, must be a lib or something i'm missing..

I'm using the latest Swype beta. I know the HTC keyboard has swipe input, but I just like the Swype keyboard the best.
Swype beta here, use hackers keyboard for terminal though, in landscape has all the keys need rather then flipping back and forth with different modes

Big fan of Thumbkeyboard here. Tons of great themes (ICS theme is sweet), multiple keyboard layouts, and good support. I use it on both my phone and tablet.

I swap back and forth between swiftkey x and SmartKeyboard Pro.
I love using the compact qwerty version of Smart KB Pro in portrait for rocket fast texting, but swiftkey x has hands down the best word prediction.

I was very happy but I decided to give ICS keyboard by Johntanmi. THe auto correct on this thing is amazing. I am typing faster with less errors. I love it.

I was using SwiftX, but the ICS keyboard really nice.
I use Swype portrait and smart keyboard pro landscape. Keyboard manager from the market to flip them, been using this setup for over a year with about 15 different roms on 2 different devices.

Hi guys,
Just wanted to know if there is a QHD version of the android 4.2 (with gesture) Keyboard.
I tried to use the original version but the keyboard was too small for me
Thanks
Has anyone found this?
i'm pretty sure that there isnt one yet and probably wont be one for awhile since itll take much reworking since of the gesture typing

Try using swiftkey flow beta (from its site). It is the best one yet(atleast according to me).It contains bugs but it wont affect you that much i.e. to say that the bugs are minor.
for some reason the swiftkey flow beta keeps force closing on my phone. anyway to fix it?
Maybe your out of luck for now.
Try rebooting your phone then reinstalling the .apk
else try swype(download from its site)

Yo guys,
I have no clue how it will perform with your phone's screen resolution, but for a nice and extremely customizable keyboard with (better than) Swype-like gesture input and Swiftkey-like predictions, go read my post here. Try it, and if it solves your problem, hit thanks if it does! [ok, that part's optional ]
Don't download the attachments on that post: those are my hdpi theme for your cousin the Defy...

Oh god I cant see why you would want to. I couldnt stand the stock keyboard. Went back to swype asap. Swiftkey is also good.
Hi, does anybody know how to create shortcuts on the G5? not sure if it's marshmallow that doesn't have this functionality or if it's LG
I'm also using swiftkey btw
Edit: I recently discovered textpand which I'm using to get around the lack of shortcuts on SwiftKey, works quite well https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.isaiasmatewos.texpand
I like the keyboard on the g5. Swype is good too but for some reason I like the design and layout of the stock key board. So does anyone have an apk for it by chance?

I would also like it.
All the replacement apps are pants. Google keyboard is by far the best of the pretenders but swyping on it is laggy.
LG keyboard is flawless and corrects perfectly when setup properly.
Could do with it for another phone, but doubt anyone will have it.

How come there are no suggestions in Google Now search and some other in-app searches? I doubt there is something to configure user-side for that kind of permission
I would also like to install LG keyboad in my N phone (non-lg).. I like the swype cursor feature on the space bar (gboard has it, but I don't like google apps!)
please can somebody port it? thanks!
