I bring to you the first ever (to my knowledge) transparent Android analog clock.
Yes, you must be rooted to use this clock and must have ROOT EXPLORER installed on your phone.
If any dev would like to attach this clock with their rom then feel free. All I ask is to please give credit where credit is do.
Instructions:
1. Install ROOT EXPLORER and the DeskClock.apk to your phone.
2. Open ROOT EXPLORER and scroll down to the SYSTEM file then click on it.
3. Once the SYSTEM file is clicked on click scroll to the APP folder and do the same (click on it!).
4. Search for DESKCLOCK.apk and delete it!
5. Back all the way out of ROOT EXPLORER and now search for the DESKCLOCK.apk file. Most likely if you downloaded the file straight from your phone it will be located in the DOWNLOADS folder.
6. Once you've located the DESKCLOCK.apk file long press on it and select MOVE (to move the file).
7. You will now repeat steps 2 and 3.
8. Click MOVE and drop the DESKCLOCK.apk file into the APP folder.
9. Long press on the DESKCLOCK.apk file and select PERMISSIONS. (If a warning box pop up then click ok and select the MOUNT R/W tab located on the top right corner of your phones screen). MOUNT R/W tab should then switch to MOUNT R/O.
10. Once in PERMISSIONS make sure the USER check box has READ and WRITE CHECKED (If EXCUTE is checked please uncheck it).
11. Make sure the GROUP and OTHERS check box both only have READ checked and nothing else.
12. Reboot your phone! You now have a tranparent Android analog clock. Yay!
TO MY KNOWLEDGE THIS CLOCK WIDGET WILL NOT WORK ON ANYTHING, BUT AOSP AND CM7 (EVEN THOUGH I HAVEN'T TRIED IT ON CM7 YET) BASED ROMS.
ALTHOUGH THIS CLOCK WAS MADE FOR THE myTouch 4g IT SHOULD WORK FOR ANY AOSP OR CM7 BASED ROM ON ANY PHONE!

If anyone has used my clock then feel free to leave feedback. I would like to hear both good or bad feedback.
I am most likely going to release a nicely themed version of this clock either tonight or tomorrow. I think every and anyone will love the next release.

Installed on Faux's AOSP 1.2.7... Looks great! I changed the directions just a tad (renamed to DeskClock.bak instead of deleting the original, and also did "chmod 644 DeskClock.apk" as there's not a "User" descriptor, and I just thought it safe to copy DeskClock.bak's permissions)
Thanks for the simple, yet excellent mod!

First off the one you had on your rom the beast was my idea. You forgot I PM'd you and suggested that you create a transparent android clock?
Secondly the one you created does not look anything like the clock I have above. My clock is completely stock. Only thing modified is the transparency.

Ok, if you want to get technical then none of us have the first ever transparent clock cause there are tons of transparent clocks floating around, but none of them are the stock look with transparency. My clock is the first and possibly the only true stock clock with transparency.
Idk why you bring this up in the first place. You never gave me credit for my idea on the clock you created for THE BEAST and I didn't say a word.

...about a clock? Children please. Its nap time. Its a clock for jippers crippers!

As you can see I wasn't the one who brought up this argument. I was just defending myself and my name just like most of you would. Enough of this argument. Idc about it no more. Its water under the bridge.

I appreciate the mention man and thanks again for morphing this for us and thanks to the guy who made this slick theme as well!
Hopefully he will skin the 3g/e, mail and the other stock icons not yet skinned in the next update.
@talltexan no, best bet is to make a nandroid backup.
No there is not a stock... Im not gonna take the time to make a revert for every morph I make... just do a nandroid,
Or download NinjaMorph from the market
Pick new Projects for
system/app/settings.apk
system/framework/framework-res.apk
system/framework/twframework-res.apk
each of these get saved in a workspace folderand is an extracted form of the apk... to revert to stock just finish existing project and choose the desired apk to untheme....

Can someone clarify on how to apply these?

The op clearly states not to flash in recovery... its a MetaMorph file.. flash with MM.. choose Andy_Update.xml and apply all
@BlackElvis extract the file and read the README... the OP has the instructions on how to apply...

Sensual GingerBread(Sense, No Carrier and 1% Bat)(CWM)(ATT+FR Support)[7-22-11]

Now on ATT and France Atrix!
I whipped this up with some help from the GOB's at UOT and cred's to Nottach for the Carrier and 1% Battery Mod! This is a Sense-like theme, with some minor mods that you can see in the screen shots. if it is requested i will make a version with the normal sense battery instead of the crysis one and a transparent pull down instead of the matrix one
NOTE: i have included an addon zip that will give you the actual sense battery and sense background for notifications for those who want the more thorough look
I have simplified the attachments somewhat.
if you want to try out the Sense Battery and decide you don't like it you can simply flash back v.2
Flash in CWM, make a backup if you feel it's necessary.
WARNING: this has only been tested on my phone on ATT 4.5.9.1! i accept no responsibility for your phone deciding it no longer wants to work. that said, enjoy!
I now have a port for the France Atrix, reported as working but still i have not personally tested. flash at your own risk!

Downloads now exceed the XDA limit so i'm upping them on my favorite file sharing site.
they are now available in this folder

Change Log:
v.4 - I think i really fixed the 1% error on france now
v.3 - Fixed 1% battery on france port
France port is up!
Sense Battery add on and white notifications background, if you like the crysis and matrix touch then don't flash!
v.2 - Redid scripting for no change error
v.1 - initial release
Since i don't ask for donations, a simple press on that *free* thanks button would suffice!

Awesome theme but I think there is a bug, I'm on Kennethpenn's gingerbread rom and matching gingerbread radio. It seems to show the H+ when I turn on wifi, but as soon as I turn off wifi it reverts back to 3g icon, I've checked and its stays on hspa never changes between turning on and off wifi.

no problem! btw, the semi-transparent didn't look very appealing with the combo of the matrix backdrop, however i will be trying another level of transparency to see if it looks better.
is it possible for you to create an uninstall zip for cwm? because it would be just that much easier to uninstall it.

[MODS][TWEAKS]**Miui Misc. Mods & Tweaks**[11/07/11]

This thread will hopefully make it easier for everyone to find any tweaks of mods that are for Miui.

Mods
Remove Debugging Icon (just flash in recovery after wiping cache & dalvik)
All-in-One Center (w/ clock in center, stronger haptic, and brighter screen)
All-in-One Right (w/ clock on right, stronger haptic, and brighter screen)
Extended Settings Right (this will just move clock to right. It does not include haptic tweak or brighter screen)

The extended settings are just flashable zips, but the framework-res.apk do the following :
Long press on /system/framework-res.apk and write down the permission settings. (You will need that later)
Cut and paste the new downloaded file into /system/framework
It will ask if it's OK to overwrite, say yes.
The market will force close, but that is normal.
Set the permissions the same as you wrote down at the beginning and reboot.
That is all there is to it, but please let me know if you have any other questions.

No real "Guide" needed, download this font. http://img.dafont.com/dl/?f=barcode_font
unzip it to any directory on your SDcard (I used the MinimalisticTextPreferences directory that the program uses to store custom widgets you've made)
Long press screen, select "Widget">Minimalistic Text 4x2 (hor) or whatever size you want.
in Minimalistic Text options, to all the way down to Global Settings, scroll to "Font Folder" and select the directory on your SDCard that has the barcode font. press back to go back to the widget setup screen, in the 3 text fields at the top select "Font Family" and you should see Barcode font in the option. once you have it selected for all 3 text fields just make up what you want it to do, clock, battery, date, etc.
How do I remove the Arrow icon when i'm using this widget? I made my own and manually put in ieach battery percentage but there is a greater then sign showing or Arrow you could say.

Can you grab a screenshot for me, so I know exactly what you mean? If it's what I think, then its probably because of the font. Its so tall it needs two lines to display properly.

Thizzle, what app are you using for your screenshots? Yours are clear on the xda app, but mine are completely messed up.

Looks like you need to extend the widget out. Ill post a screen of what I mean. I use the built in screenshot of cm7. Then I use the imgur app to upload, grab the link and post via the tapatalk app.

I use native screenshot (senseless ROM) and upload using xda premium
For your widget are you using 4x1 minimilistic widget?
Sent from my PG86100 using xda premium
Ahh, I'm on virus. No native screenshot.
4x2 and 4x1 produce the same result. Increasing the font size doesn't help.

Use size 60 try that. If not get at me. I'll try helping you as much as possible.
here try this its from my boy jay all credit goes to him.
Alright thizzle, (and anyone else who wants it ) didn't forget about ya buddy. I use the black, but I made a white one just for you also. Make sure you have Minimalistic Text Widget installed and you will need the barcode battery font also. Which I'll give that to ya just incase you need it. Now on the root of your sd card make a folder called fonts and put this .tff file in that folder.
Now on your sd card you will have a folder named "minimalistic text preferences", download the zip I'm providing you with and extract the .mtpref files and put both in that folder. Then choose to add a 4x1 Minamilistic widget and scroll down and hit the restore button and select which one you want. you will be golden.
If you have any questions let me know. You can add me on gtalk if you want.
Here is the link for the .mtpref files.

And here is the link for the barcode .tff file.

And some screenshots while not charging and charging......

Predictive dialer for cm7

Hi all,I know the new builds by Erwin and cobje have this feature now but if like myself your not using them builds but still want the predictive dialer feature then here's the solution. Replace existing contacts.apk with this
http://db.tt/meIiMSaw
I used esfile manager for the process.
Remember to reboot after.
scratch has kindly made a flashable zip,ive not tested this myself but i trust scratch totally.
"Make sure you mount the system and disable signature verification in recovery as I just made it using root explorer on my phone so the zip isn't signed."
http://db.tt/YRpO3jmR
Thanks to Arco,Erwinp, cobje and scratch for the zip.

oh my lord !!!! sorry not been any more help but ive had a knightmare and managed to format my sdcard twice lol whilst at work and had minimal resources to get back up running again and when i did i somehow managed to wipe the damn thing again DOH!!!! transfering sdcards from my phone to mates whilst he logs into my dropbox to transfer stuff over.................... long long process and now i realise the importance of an updated dropbox lol.
anyway like i managed to say its been tested on cm7 nightly and stable so i know it works and as scratch says make sure youve set EsFilemanger or root capable file mangers permissions to copy the contacts and replace existing apk. got a lot of work to do on my phone again now as my nandroids were on my sdcard Zzzzzzzzzzz .

just seen your signiture and you should be fine as your s-off and on #256 so it must be the permissions that you need to change and dont forget to reboot afterwards. regards slymobi

Lol,I remember your post.
It seems I did opposite lol, I was on the beer at weekend and strangely must of sdcard backed up so barring a couple of days worth of mods I got most things back.woo woo.
Now then anakin!! You are partly to blame lol. It all started with this GPS patch which I noticed last night and then your comment this morning,so I tried it and Bam!!!! GPS none existant, tried flashing radio, no joy and then accidents happen.....button bashing lol Aaaaaargh!!!! Realization of what I'd done. 1st time silly mistake but to do it again after set up once more was just plain dumb. Haha.I'm gonna stick with my 15 seconds gps lock on and stop messing with cwm.
P.s what's this rom you've done for yourself? I'm intrigued!!!
"sent from me2u"
I used the Google specific flashable zip and it worked first time without any problems at all.
The Rom is just a stock froyo Rom a few extras that I use like a2sd script etc, all the crap I don't use removed and a few visual mods, transparent status bar and bottom bar new icons, lockscreen etc etc.......
Its far from complete but all the important things work and as I'm no dev and don't really know what I'm doing to fix anything, I won't be releasing a new froyo rom.
It's just for me to use till I get a new phone.

I'd love to have my name in lights its just I know my limits and i wouldn't want to release a half ass Rom that does exactly the same as another, there's plenty of good froyo roms we don't need another. Might release a zip with a sense theme one day though if I can figure it all out right.

I did the same method only using esfilemanager,I didn't have to set permissions but long press on the apk and choose properties then change to rw-r-r and your filemanager needs to be system mounted and root enabled . Try again and if still not working then try deleting the old contacts then copy/paste the new one.
"sent from me2u"
Well, it worked this time. I used esfilemanager instead of root explorer and it worked.
