This is in Chinese... can you tell me will this seller ship to Europe? I'm interested if the shipping is not too expensive...

ahhh I like this one. is the tablet snug?

Horrible colour but looks like a decent case.

I can't read Chinese either! I just happen to live in Hong Kong.
I will ask if he ships to Europe.
Tablet is very snug, I've been using it for 3 days without problems. It's held by a velcro strap like others. Materials used is very good. Definitely not leather, but feels high quality enough to not be embarassing
The color complements the brown of the Transformer.

How much? And do they ship to EU?
Sent from my Transformer TF101 using XDA Premium App

It's $138 HKD local pickup price according to the page.
In the pics, it looks like the back is pretty thick, does it add a lot of weight?

Yes it is pretty thick. Weight does change substantially but I believe any fold-up folio would add something similar no?

did u manage to ask the seller if he ships to Europe. If you pm with his email, I'm willing to do the asking myself...
Tnx for the help

I think some of these are on the way to the US as well and should be available in black and khaki. I think they should be state side in a few days from what I was told

How does the color of the case compliment the back of the device, when you can't see the back of the device if it's in the case?

Anyone know of a Silicon Case for Liquid?

Does anyone know of a Silicon case for the liquid
I mean the type that just covers the edges and back of the phone to protect it from knocks
Has anyone seen one - looked on ebay but cant fine one
Help appreciated
Pete
I've only seen PDAir leather case, its beautiful.
There are no Slim cases yet, or not much.
But acer promised to promote the rerelease of the Liquid E much more.
I gues we'll see several ones after the release of Acer Liquid E.
Hope acer helps
Hope Acer does help - from my experience of them I wont hold my breath
I suppose that all we can hope for is that as the phone has more buyers and users the aftermarket will see producing extras as a commercial proposition
The only thing we can do is to keep asking the suppliers to show that there is a market
Pete
silicone case!
I've found it!
look here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zdG_bIt8l5g
and search on ebay "Soft Silicone Skin Case For Acer Liquid".
It seems that only one vendor sells them... O.O
If someone try, shoud post some feedback
Personally, i don't like those colours...
Black Silicone case available
Ebay has a black silicone case for the liquid
Its in china for £1.99 - looks good tho
Have just ordered one will let you all know what its like in 2 weeks
At last!
Ebay has about 240 things available if you put in acer Liquid now !!
Its becoming popular at last!!!!
Pete
I'm afraid the silicone cases will have problems with the flush buttons on the Liquid. You'd have to dig your fingernails inside to push them.
The only thing I would be interested in getting is a camera lens cover since it seems that could get scratched easily.
Tested
Hi I received the Silicon Case from Hong-Kong a week ago.
It fits very well the the Acer Liquid and I have no problem at all with the buttons.
I'm very satisfied with it. You can have to combine it with a screen protector to complete the protection.
Cheers, Pkd

I confirm what you say. I'm very satisfied, I also found an improvement with the on/off button: now i "feel" it because the case has a little "step" on it: it's so easier to press.
Global score: 9,5 out of 10
Bye
I ordered a black one from France from eBay. It's wonderful.
http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=370383448432&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT
Fast shipping, inexpensive, and it fits and looks great. Definitely happy with it.
I also ordered one of the Hong Kong ones, haven't received it yet.
EDIT: just received the transparent one from hong kong. Go with the french one! The HK ones are ok but ugly and they are a bit to big - they look sloppy.
Just FYI.. I picked up a silicon case at Rogers !
they only had smoke color but it was 11.99$
How do you like it?
I bought the one off eBay dancerobot recommended. It fit the phone well but when in my pocket, buttons would be easily pressed (including the damn power button).
I got the one off of eBay as well, it fits perfectly. It was about $13.00 CDN and came with 2 additional screen protectors and a little lanyard thing that I don't have a lot of use for.
It took about 10 days to come from Hong Kong. The pleasant surprise was their was no duty or HST due when it was delivered. Usually things ordered international have duty and GST/HST owning.
I have the one from Hong Kong, its perfect, i agree with previous posters
Tried to find one @ rogers like post above, no such luck, evem tried to get one from France off ebay but they are not available
I contacted Otter Box and they said maybe in the future
I did not receive a lanyard with mine....but I have 3 extra small holes on the back of the case...any ideas?
a bit more info...
i currently ordered an Acer Liquid E from Fido.
was wondering about this case from Hong Kong, the material it's made out of... would it stick to the inside of your pocket when trying to take your phone out?
I've thrown out silicone cases, because of this.
in short does this "Transparent Soft Skin Case" have a rubbery feel or more of a plastic feel to it.
thanks in advanced for any responses
no the case does not stick in my pants pocket
but it is stickier than the phone itself
no longer slides into its velvet case as easily
mine is in gray (really almost clear)
this is the only one I have found
above post is only reference to rogers protection case availability I ve seen -heard
french eBay source seems gone
would love to see pic of mentioned lanyard, I guess 2 holes near lower Acer logo is for lanyard....then what is the top hole next to the cam for?

"Smart Cover" style cases?

I find the smart cover case of my iPad 2 is ideal for typing in "landscape keyboard" mode. I haven't found any cases on eBay etc that do this except some really bulky/fugly ones. Has anyone found anything elegant/thin along the lines of the iPad 2 smart cover yet? I realize the GT7.7 doesn't have the logic to turn off when the cover is closed, I can live without that!
The original Samsung OEM case/cover looks very nice but doesn't seem to stand on its own in landscape keyboard mode

As long as the surface is not overly smooth, the Samsung Original Book Cover case does stand in landscape (thanks to rubber strips that adds friction). See pics. May not *look* especially stable, but it does seem to hold out nicely.
Ironically, I would like to see a case that allows my tab to stand in portrait mode, since I'm more likely to read that way. Never seen one before.
I have a case similar to the official iPad1 case. Very slim and snug fit. Doesn't add much to the size of the device, keeping the original slimness. Its faux leather on the outside and suede cloth inside. It has the same standing mechanism as the iPad1 case too. Comes in a few colours, I got the brown one.
I've been looking for exactly this type of case and was amazed they are made. I believe I can post images now and so I'll put some up later.

A similar one popped up on eBay last night for $25. Seller is in HK of course. What site did you find this on?
Tmall.com taobao.com
chinese webiste
that one cost RMB120
I found it at http://www.minihotsale.com/rock-sam...blet-light-cool-folio-leather-case_p1435.html
$35 shipped, not terrible. I like that it doesn't intrude on the bezel the way some of the other folios do.
Thanks cyuet for pointing me in the right direction! Will advise once received.

Thats the one. I personally prefer cases that give all round protection and this case does that. I find cases that only grip the corners can come loose over time, and badly made ones have terrible tolerances and may not even adequetly hold the device.
Thanks

I also think that a case like the smart cover for the ipad2 is ideal for the tab 7.7. I have seen those for the 10.1 and 8.9 on ebay, and I am pretty sure they will pop up for the 7.7 soon.
Nothing from Zenus or SGP yet?

UK based case for £8.99
I just received this case i bought from ebay for the bargain price of £8.99 in the UK and delivered from the UK too.
Very pleased with it! I've tried the official case but this is much better. It even has magnets on the flap to stop it flapping open when carrying.

Tablet S skin.

Hi.
In thinking about buying one of the gel skins off eBay USA. I've just got the tablet and I'm finding it a bit plasticky and hollow sounding. I'm thinking that a skin might deaden the sound a bit.
Can anyone vouch for the quality of them?

Looks good and US $11.99 is not a bad price. Amazon.com has the same item labeled "by Sony" in black (ASIN: B007BXZI2O) and purple (ASIN: B007BXZYPA) for US $7.99 with free Amazon Prime Membership 2-day shipping. Non-Prime standard 3-day shipping is probably US $2.99, but I'm guessing the cost.
Hi Cat.
I'll be shipping to the UK so I need to factor in shipping. The Amazon one just looks like the same one off ebay - it doesn't look Sony branded.
For some bizarre reason I can't find them in the UK at all. Very strange.
They are both roughly the same price so I'll just choose either.
Thanks.
i seen that cover but only question is that will the case cover the IR remote on top of the tablet?

I ordered one from Amazon.com and will receive it tomorrow evening. After I install it on the tablet, I will post here to let you know whether or not the skin covers the IR sensor.
Edit: I received and installed the skin. Fits well. None of the tablet's features (power plug, buttons, speakers, etc.) are blocked. And yes, there is a hole for the IR sensor.
Hi Cat.
Please tell me what you think of the skin as I'm close to ordering one myself. Please tell me if its a tight fit (a must) and whether you think that it makes the tablet feel too think.
I really want one to make the tablet feel more solid in the hand. As much as I love Google and hate Apple I really miss the build quality of my old iPad 1. I also think HC is an abomination of an OS - What were Google thinking!!
Look forward to your report and pics would be nice if possible

I purchased a black skin (ASIN: B007BXZI2O) from Amazon.com, so go to their web site to see photographs. I like the skin. Its color is a perfect dark charcoal. It fits very well and tighly hugs the tablet's form. When I am handling the tablet, the skin does not feel like it is going to fall off and the back part does not feel floppy. It has a good industrial rubber feel and it makes the tablet feel more solid and protected, which is a plus for me because I am an industrial controls engineer and I frequently use my tablet in the field. The skin has openings in all the right places and does not block any of the tablet's features. I feel purchasing the skin was a wise choice.
Thanks for the update.
Looks like I will be purchasing one ASAP
I've just tried to purchase it off Amazon but they don't ship to the UK.
I'll have to purchase the one off ebay. It looks the same but you never know until you get it.
Just bought the one off ebay. Probably take about 2 weeks to get here. It was just over £11 with the exchange being as it is so can't grumble at the price.
Cheers.
Looks great, might look into something like this.

Yes, I have a cradle and no, the tablet will not fit into the cradle if the skin is on it. But the skin is easy to remove and put back on (I do it carefully, taking my time), so it is not a problem for me.
Hi all.
I got the skin in the post the other day. I'm not too impressed with it TBH. It is not the snuggest of fits - its a bit loose.
I don't think I'll use it TBH. I'm getting used the plastic nature of the Tablet S.
Cheers.

I purchased a Black Silicone Skin from Amazon.com six weeks ago and so far it's held up nicely. I remove the skin nightly so I can put my tablet in its cradle and put the skin back on every morning, and today it still fits as snug as it did the first time I put it on my tablet.

Noreve St Tropez Leather Case

I got my case yesterday. The most I have ever paid for a case, by a long way, and had to wait weeks because I chose the distressed leather finish but I have to say this is a work of art! Amazing looks, fits perfectly, adds minimal bulk to the Prime and makes me love my Prime again (and forget all its other faults).
One of those rare occasions when spending top dollar is actually value for money.

Do you mind taking some pictures of your leather case?
I am waiting on a dark vintage leather case from Noreve's exceptional selection for my 64 GB Prime to be shipped and sent to me.
C'mon dude, post pictures or at least a link to where you bought the case.
Here is the one I got in the Exceptional finish, costs more but fantastic worn leather look:

That is a pretty sharp looking case, but with prices starting at $105 I would wanna make sure it works with the TF Infinity (my next tablet purchase) before I go and spend that much money on a case.
Here are some photos of mine, taken with my cell phone.
It is an exceptional case, makes carrying the Prime around a pleasure, simply because the case is so damn thin, and feels so soft!
It is hard to bite the bullet on the price (mine was, I believe, $85, plus shipping, and you can find discount coupons, if you search the net to bring it down more)
Shipping is somewhat expensive, somewhere around $15, but on the bright side, I ordered mine on Sunday, and it arrived to Los Angeles by Weds. (I can be very patient, as long as I don't have to wait!)
The case has very soft, leather type material on the inside, so it doesn't put dust and dirt on the screen every time I close it, which is one big complaint I had with my Blurex case.
It also has precise openings for every port, yet provides excellent protection for the edges of the Prime. Only opening not accessable is the charger port. You need to charge it with the case open. You don't need to remove the case to charge the device, but it does have to be open.
It really gives the Prime a very elegant look, the leather reminds me of leather used on very high end briefcases or luxury cars, and the clasps work great, easy to open, easy to close, and it feels totally secure when closed.
Certainly not for everyone, but if you can afford it, and want an elegant solution to protection, this is certainly worth a look!
nice
I ordered mine few days ago ... I hope it will arrive soon. I choose the basic one to avoid to long wait
I love the noreve case.
I already got for my archos device and my smartphones.
Hi, great looking case but I can't tell from your pics if it accommodates the keyboard/ dock when attached?
Sent from my Transformer Prime TF201 using XDA
I just received my noreve case.
Regarding the keyborad, first of all you have to know that there are 2 cases. One for the tablet only and one for both
I bought the one for the tablet only.
But you can still connect the dock and it will look like this :
I just got mine yesterday after waiting 20 days (and 7 days for UPS to deliver) and I am disappointed. Not sure if I should be, but I have sent them a mail about it.
The quality is very nice, but mine came with tons of "scratches/Scruff marks" all over the case, which makes it look like I bought it second-hand from someone who have used it extensively.
Also I ordered mine in Passion Vintage, which on the site looks like a deep red/burgundy color. Mine looks faded and like someone left it out in the sun for a month.
Front of the case:
Back of the case:
Color comparison to the color shown on their website:
Maybe I just had higher hopes .. but after paying so much and waiting so long for the case, I am disappointed. But we will see what Noreve replies back to me (if anything).

For the price they charge for those cases you would he they guarantee satisfaction.
Tempest
I'm curious if you ever contacted Noreve, and if so, what their response was?
Your case definitely looks like it's been well used, not like it is brand new. I'm not sure if that's what the "look" is supposed to be, but I can understand your disappointment!
I hope they work with you to make sure you're satisfied, because the case is, as you said, excellent quality, and it's been a pleasure for me to use, for the past two weeks.
All the vintage leather cases are supposed to be distressed leather, meaning scratches and scuffs, so to me that would be expected. The color does look different what what is on the website, but personally I think it the case looks great! If the case wasn't so expensive and the wait time so long, I'd take that one off your hands.

That is the response I got from them too. My issue with that is that it is nowhere stated, that this would be the case, and all their own pics, the leather is in pristine condition (and the color is different).
So when I look at the site and order a case in a certain color and material, I sort of expect that it will look like it does on the site.
If I can't trust their pictures, then I am almost bound to be disappointed once I get the product, as it doesn't look like the presentation.
I just think the color is too faded, and had I know this, I would have gone with the black one, which I think would look better in a faded color.
There is nothing in the quality of the case that I can complain about ... it is lovely, and in fact it has 4 angles, not 3, as the two prongs that closes the case are very hard, and can be used to support the tablet at a better angle for writing
Also, you can use it in portrait mode, as the front cover, folds all the way back (there was a question about this in another thread).
And it is possible to put the tablet in the dock, without completely removing the case (if you need to recharge the battery off the dock, or just want to use the keyboard for a bit).

I have the same finish on mine and I too was a little apprehensive as the scuff marks started to mount but it gets to a point where it starts looking like vintage leather which is what I wanted. Think of it as something that will improve with age, which is very rare with gadgets!

Well I did complain about the lack of "real life" pictures of the materials on their web site, as that was the biggest disappointment. Seeing that my case's color (and condition) didn't match what I used to make the decision with.
Showing a different color and (apparently) different leather type, when I click on the link to see the Vintage Passion case, is just not good enough.
But as it turns out, they have agreed to exchange my case to another type of my choice at no extra cost (except for shipping it to France), which I think is very nice of them.
So now I need to decide if I should go for the black or brown cases, which I think will look better in a faded color.
As requested, pictures of the case after a few weeks.
I took the photos in weak morning light with no flash.

Thanks a lot .... helps a lot with my decision.
I think I really like the brown case, but I think it will require me to wait for about a month again.

Armor Lighting case

Hi all,
I'm looking for the official Armor Lighting case for the ROG 2, but no luck so far.
Anyone found it for sale online anywhere?
At Giztop.com. https://www.giztop.com/official-armor-lighting-case-for-asus-rog-phone-2.html
Can somebody tell me what this Armor Lighting case can do? I don't find any information about this in the web... is the back a second display??

I found this video.
https://i.imgur.com/CYNWQxt.mp4
It seems to be just a background that lights up a little.
It's not a screen.
Yes, it is a LED powered backplate with cutouts for different Lighting effects, not a screen.
I'm however looking for a (third) variant not available on Giztop with some ROG logo graphics. The ones I see on Giztop are the two with some Chinese game design. Maybe it will be launched later.
Anyone got it yet?
Still looking...
The official armor case for Asus Rog Phone 2, covers the lower led on the back of the smartphone.
You can see 2 flashlight led on the right of the back camera.
The upper one is the flash, used in videos or when taking a picture, or even when the torch is on.
The lower one is used for the official armor (or third-part official case armor), to give the case a light effect.
The official armor case for Asus Rog Phone 2 has the words "Republic of Gamers" backlighted in all colours, just like the ROG logo does, without the official armor case on, or without a case.
The big question is this: if the first led is meant only for torchlight or flashlight, then why does it lights in many color as well, when the official/third-part armor case is on?!? Is this a precise will of Asus, or is it a bug???
Just bought one!
It’s now available on the Asus shop. Also the twinview dock as well.
I would add the link but it’s not allowed.

That armor case is not yet out in European market, yet. Even if I found it on a Swedish site, but it's only for pre-order. Since in Sweden they use Swedish Crown as currency, I converted it and it's about 34Euros.
So, we European dudes have to wait in order to get that (coooooool) armor case.
Got mine yesterday, there alot less lighting option for it then the light on the back of the phone.. but it's still pretty nice

I am pretty sure they will add more lightning effect on it with third-part apps and/or updates for the phone and its rom stock.
Because this armor case is not that cheap, so I think they will develop it. Or, you know, I hope for it!
This case have limited open window for lighting to go through. But its a great case. I like it.
Here's a small video.

Hi Cypher. I have plenty questions for you: does this particular case feel soft? Hard? Rubbish? Plasticky? Does this case cover the upper part of the display with raised edges, in order to protect it if it crashes on the ground, or in order to prevent the screen to touch the surface if I place it upside-down? The phone is fixed and motionless once engrafted in this case, or does the smartphone woobles (even if just a bit) into this case?
A case may even be cool and stilish too, but a case is made to be an armour against scratches/hits/falls, and its primary porpouse is to keep the smartphone safe against accidents.
Thanks in advice for the answers
It's hard plastic. Its got raised edges that protects the screen when faced down or from drops (hopefully). But from the pic, my tempered glass is slightly over those protective case edges. So if mine does end up dropping face first, I hope the tempered glass will go first. The case is solid tight, to the fact that i hate it when trying to removing it when i want to play and connect the thin bumper and aero cooler.
Damn that's not much of a front lip
