I recently switched from Vegan GE to CM7, so that I could use netflix (which works well, by the way). Now hulu won't allow my tablet to play videos even after I downloaded the new hacked version of 10.3
Did you remember to switch your user agent in the browser to desktop?
Also if your using the recent cm7 port for 1.2 bl it has add removal built in. It will play hulu but after it shows a message about bandwidth. It will cycle for about a minute and then play the whole show without adds. If you wait a bit at the start it means no adds later. Just makes you think its not going to play at first.

I have some apps that stopped working... (ASTRO, Dolphin HD, YouTube, ADW Launcher) and want to wipe and start over. Is there a way to do a wipe back to factory? Will it erase sideloaded books etc?
Cheers,
Rich
I have tried the following that haven't worked:
Skype (loads but you cant do anything once in the app)
Reckless Racing (Loads to title screen and crashes)
NFS Shift (One version crashes at title scene, other loads but with no textures)
NewRoom (Loads, but the button to add new sites doesn't work)
I think this thread will be better and much shorter than the "Working Apps" thread because MOST apps seem to work fine.
Anyway.
eBuddy doesn't even install for some reason.

Not sure why they wouldn't see your SD card. I installed both of those with no problems.
Slingplayer - older version does not work but the current version from the market works fine. The lack of menu keys makes it a bit of a pain but if plays fine.
Roadsync gets in a loop for registration and wont even launch the program (current version from the market)
Touchdown (current version from Market) runs but will not sync with my exchange server 2003.
I can't get ADWLauncher to run. LauncherPro works fine. Also, ASTRO and K9 won't start. Anyone having problems with these apps? I had them running last night, but started experimenting and somehow they got broken. Is there a log file that I can check?
Cheers,
Rich
Sketch Online won't work for me. Is appears to start but then just closes with no error.
Raging Thunder 2 fail to download game data.

Same here...
I think this is hilarious. Nook Software will not run on the nook.
I can't get Grooveshark to run either... It launches, but as soon as you enter login information it crashes and doesn't open anymore.
My wife gave me a White Galaxy S II international version from Amazon.com for Christmas.
I first noticed this with the stock internet browser.
I am having a little problem with the podcasts section on Engadget.com. As soon as the page is near or finishes loading, the browser crashes and I'm returned to the launcher.
If I am quick enough to long press on the .MP3 link to download the podcast it crashes without the save prompt showing up and the download isn't started.
I downloaded Dolphin Browser HD and I get the same results. This is the browser I used on my Inspire 4G with no problems.
This is viewing the desktop version of Engadget.com, also with either Android or Desktop as the user agent.
I don't have trouble loading pages on other sites.
Does anyone know why this is happening?
Just tried it myself and it worked fine. Are you trying the "save link" option? You could try "download all files" application from market. I've got it installed because I've had a problem in the past.
DoubleTwist
Try downloading the app doubletwist you don't need to sync it to your computer or use air sync all you need to do them is download the item again
Hope this helps
Not to be rude but I'm looking for a solution, not a workaround.
I could just stream it from the website or the Engadget app, but I want to download the podcast from the page as I'm reading Engadget posts without starting up another app to do something I could do easily on a much simpler and lower quality phone. The building at my work tends to kill wifi and cell signals so I need to download the podcasts to listen to them.
I did have cyanogen installed on my Inspire. I wanted to see if I could use this phone without ROMs.
Thanks anyway.
download all files from market , the stock browser doesnt download all file extensions mate , that could be the reason
dolphin browser is quite useless to download files...the best one to download files are the opera mobile. i used that to download basically everything....try it...

Like I said "download all files"
Just install it then use the stock browser to download the pod cast
The stock browser and dolphin can download mp3s from other sites. My Inspire 4G running cyanogen could do it, too.
Apparently there is some code on the Engadget page that my phone doesn't like.
The browser crashes as soon as the page either finishes loading or right before it finishes. It had nothing to do with downloads.
Edit: I installed Opera Mobile as recommended above by kruznix and the page loads properly.
I'm still curious if anyone knows why this is happening.
Forgive me if this question has already been asked...ran a search of the forums and found nothing so...
Does anyone know why with a rooted NT (not running another ROM yet) I can not watch programs online through TNT website as well as TNT Android app available on Google Play? The browser will go to the site but fails to load any full episodes. I side loaded the app hoping it would work even though play store said it would not...hoping if I fiddled with changing my screen resolution it would work (using LCD app). In the TNT app it plays the ad before the program just fine, then plays about 8 seconds of the actual episode before I get a message saying my device is not compatible. I checked permissions and the only thing I can see that might be causing this is the setting for the display in the .xml file.
Anyone know what to do? I like watching Falling Skies episodes but can't on my NT. Oddly, I am running an old version if the HBOgo app without any problems. Perhaps the TNT app requires Ice Cream Sandwich? No specs to say on app page or webpage.
Any help would be appreciated!
Hi everyone,
A few days ago I got the new Facebook UI with the built-in video player+auto-play, It's very laggy (every time it auto-plays videos) and it's impossible to download the videos. I really don't know what facebook developers thought when they decided to make such a terrible update. I want to downgrade to an earlier version that still have the option to choose a video player (and download the video) and more important without the auto-play function.
How can I do it? Which version to look for?
Thanks

Depends on whether or not your phone came preloaded with Facebook. If it did, you would uninstall the update in your Settings / Applications (or Application Manager, depending on the phone) and then make sure it's not enabled to Auto Update it in the Play Store.. If it didn't come preloaded with the phone and you initially installed it from the Play Store, then go to the Settings / App section again and find out what update that is, and Google for the Facebook apk and find the newest one that isn't that one that is giving you issues.
I successfully installed older version with the old UI, but I still can't get it to pop up the video player selection :/
I dunno, I don't do Facebook really, and I have no clue which version you installed, so yea...
Have you seen this?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2102232
This is so annoying, I successfully got the video player to pop up, but after a day it stopped working. The Facebook didn't update, it's like in-app update that can't be blocked.
Use this then download messenger and freeze the messenger app using your favorite program to freeze apps like lucky patcher or android tuner. Now you can download videos and use your inbox without using that stupid messenger app. Press thanks I'd I helped you out
BN now has the Nook Reader App 4.0 on the Play Store. It even runs Kids books just like the stock reader. But Play Store shows it as incompatible with the Nook HD/HD+. It does run fine, just Play Store will not allow it to be installed so that it cannot be installed on the stock software and interfere with the stock version. The solution is to manually install the apk file to CM yourself. I have uploaded the apk file to my Dev-Host server account here:

Thank you for sharing.
Edit: will not actually load any of my side loaded content. Sees it. Let me add to library, but won't let me open any of it. Alidko opened them fine.
This app was eating my processor time and battery, slowing down my device. I finally traced it to the nook service trying to keep me informed of things. I was able to fix it by going to settings, apps, and selecting the nook reader app. There I unchecked the show notifications box and all was well.
Edit: well spoke too soon. All was well because I force stopped the app also. As soon as I opened the app again that service started to eat me again. May need to go back to prior version which I had archived.
Edit2: I think I found the problem. First, I uninstalled and reinstalled the 4.0 app. That fixed my inability to see my sideloaded books. Second, I went to settings and in downloads unchecked both newspapers and magazines for automatic downloads. I subscribe to a magazine and the service was automatically downloading a new issue. That is what was eating my processor. All ok now. I love how the new version displays the magazines.
