cleared data for it ??
that normally sorts most problems
or try reinstalling it
Go to Settings -> Applications -> Market and click Clear Cache and Clear Data.
Should resolve it...
I tried clearing it and reinstalling it still nothing.

Is there a place where I can download the APK and re-install the Messaging app ?, thanks
Try clearing cache first to see if that fixes it.

Hi all..
Can anyone tell me how to clear offbthe overlay number on the phone icon? It would usually indicate a number which denotes the number of missed events in that category. Mine is stuck on 19.phone still shows 19 alerts... I tried clearing cache.. doesn't seem to work..

go to settings>app manager>clear cache
or go to recovery and wipe dalvik cache and caches and perhaps fix permissions

Where is the option to do that in app manager? I've tried looking at the phone app details in app manager... clear cache is greyed out...

Thanks mate... that did it... but I guess something is actually wrong with the dialer/phone app... I can't make calls by swiping.... sometimes the call goes... that too about a minute later. That too.. if I've tried swiping 5 times, exactly 5 calls will go but after a minute or so... how can I fix this?

Hi all,
My messaging app has started playing up recently, I go to read a msg and it'll just freeze or sometimes say there's no msg's at all when there is, when it freezes it shows in the notification window there's thousands of unread msg's I've attached a screenshot to help show what I mean.
Does anyone have any ideas what it could be as I'm rebooting my phone several times a day to sort the issue out.
Thanks in advance

I've tried that earlier today and that didn't seem to do anything, I've also tried wiping the dalvik cache and fixing permissions.
