Hi,
I'm running Comm Rom 2.0 with the MIUI music app. I can connect my music to my stereo via bluetooth with no problems, but I can't switch tracks using the stereo controls. My sister has a stock, unrooted Fascinate and the controls are responsive for hers. I've also tried using the default music player and that didn't seem to change things on my end. Other threads with different phones on the matter don't seem to have any definitive solutions either. I'd really appreciate it if someone had an idea of what's going on with my phone. Thanks.
My MIUI music lockscreen (next/previous) controls aren't working either. Pause toggle works fine though. Also tried simulating Next and Previous Media buttons with Tasker and that's unresponsive too while pause is fine.
I tried restoring nandroid to when I remember it working but it doesn't look like its changed anything. Is something conflicting with something?
My phone was overheating and locking up while using bluetooth. I plan on trying it again with my latest rom. I will check and see if I can switch tracks.
Thanks, let me know how it turns out.
I guess I should probably rephrase the question. Has anyone running Comm Rom 2.1 with or without MIUI have trouble switching tracks via universal media buttons with lockscreen or external controls?
check out this app: Media Button Router (https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...cm9pZC5tYnIiXQ..)
that should fix it
Link isn't working... but more importantly did you realize this thread is almost 2 years old now? It's more than likely he's resolved it by now...
Hi,
I'm currently using CM7 and am wanting to move to MIUI but there are a couple of issues with the music player app which are stopping me. I connect my phone to my car stereo through bluetooth and it doesn't show the track metadata on my car stereo like in CM7. It also doesn't pick up the playlists I have on there and it seems to behave strangely with the scanning of my music folder.
Is there a way to get the music app from CM7 working on MIUI? I've tried installing it but it just FCs on launch.
Thanks in advance.

Well you could try PlayerPro. I like the MIUI music app.
As far as I'm aware, PlayerPro doesn't have avrcp 1.3.
Oh yeah... my bad. Skim read your stereo part.
Any other ideas?
I'm investigating a bluetooth car stereo and need to know if the S2 supports AVRCP version 1.3. Does anybody know?

Thanks - answered my question perfectly!
So does it work? Meaning display songs title and artist to AVRCP 1.3 decks?
I am curious, if it does support AVRCP 1.3, does it display the artist information, track name and what not?
Anyone been able to confirm this working? I believe it does rely on the application providing the information to the AVRCP system - anyone discovered what, if any, apps do this?
I can confirm the S2 does support AVRCP 1.3 (only with the standard "Music" Player, not with Winamp)
My Samsung Galaxy S2 (bought this afternoon) was connected with my JVC KD-R801 car radio. While streaming via "Music" app, the car radio displayed some meta info (artist, song title etc). While streaming via Winamp, there was no show on the display.
The S2 has a stock rom, based on android 2.3.5

Are u sure about this.. According to what I found Android supported avrcp v1.0 because they use BlueZ bt stack.. At the time of ICS they didn't have support for v1.3.. In the meantime BlueZ is updated with AVRCP v1.3 target role, but ICS didn't update BT stack..
2nd question I wanted to ask because of this confusion.. (if u can use it I am not sure what google included in their system anymore).. Can u try to connect to head unit and control it (use your mobile as remote), play, stop, pause, next, prev..
Can u please give some feedback about this.. Thanks

This functionality broke with the ICS update and as Ghannes pointed out, only worked using the stock music player. I tried other players even the Google Play player and none of them streamed the music data over BT. I reverted my phone back to stock GB and confirmed that this functionality broke with the ICS update - even with the stock music player. Although, on ICS, only the stock music player detects shuffle and repeat controls from my car stereo (worked on GB as well). All players can detect the skip controls from my car both on GB and ICS.
well thats sad then.. Last week I upgraded to ICS stock and yesterday I ordered a mw600..
But what I am learning from oinkylicious link in the second post above is that bluetooth.org says sgs2 supports AVRCP1.3..
Confusing..
Of corse it cant tell if its broken!
Alright..
Got my MW600.
Everything working perfectly fine.. Esp. The screen.. Shows me the song title and the number I am getting a call from..
I have a GT-i9100G with Stock ROM, ICS 4.0.3
I'm having no audio when I connect my phone to the car through Bluetooth. I do have call audio both ways but I can't play music or sounds. Phone doesn't say anything, acts like it is playing music but no sound. I'm using task650's aokp 4-4-2012.
Also, I can't install Samsung apps, there are some apps there I use. Any way to get it working?
Thanks for reading.
I have the same issue. I found the work arround by open music app then make a call after you hear ring disconnect phone and try running music again. Some how it works for me..
bluetooth is working fine here.
i use pandora and make calls over my head unit in my car. no issues at all
samsung apps? you arent going to be using samsung apps in aokp.....
I have been using 4-14-2012, Build 31, and now 4-18-2012, and each one the Bluetooth audio works. I would recommend updating to a newer version and try again.
Also, most of the Samsung apps hook into touchwiz or back end services that are not in AOKP.
Hi all,
Running Omega v38 ROM and I can't get MP3 track information to transmit to my headunit in my car properly. My Galaxy S2 used to do this without a hitch but the S3 is causing me trouble!
I am using the Samsung Music Player and Google Music, both will transmit information for the FIRST track I play but if I skip a song or a song finishes and goes onto the next one it will not show information for the new song it will always show the first track only.
It does this on all ROMs I've tried as well.
Can anyone help me fix this?
Thank you
