Trying to install stock sms app - myTouch 4G Themes and Apps

Im trying to install the stock android sms app on my mytouch. Its all rooted. I pulled the Mms.apk off the cm7 rom I have on my computer. I tried to just put it on my sdcard and install it from there. No dice. I tried to push it to system/app and when I try and install it is gives me a parsing error. I tried changing the permissions and still nothing is working. Any help would be appreciated!

anyway to get it back?
any suggestios?
I did the same thing a week or so ago.
You could just use Odin to flash the ROM again (since it doesn't wipe).
You could take it from a previous backup.
You could open an update and extract the file.
Really, lots of options. When I did it, it was immediately after I flashed the JI6, so I just did it again, but you've got a few other options.
i already used a lot of mods and i dont want to do it again..
can anyone maybe i tried to install ti from another phone but the instalaltion fails.

Email.apk 2.3.4 Help

For some foolish reason, I forcefully removed the Email.apk app from my LG Optimus Net with Titanium Backup. Before doing so, I did create a back up of the app. The reason for doing so was to install a different version of the Email.apk. Needless to say, when trying to install the other app, an error came up saying "Did not install". I tried to restore the previous app and the Titanium app just hung up and did nothing. I then found the a version of the "original" Gingerbread Email.apk and tried to install it and got the same error "Did not install". I also tried placing that app in the /system/apps directory on the phone. I rebooted the phone and no success with it showing up or installing. Multiple times throughout this process I also tried restoring the app, and restoring the app + data with no success.
Can anyone assist me in successfully installing Email.apk 2.3.4 on my device.
I obviously have root on the phone and realize that I can do all I want with the original Email app. If someone could also provide the apk too that would be great. Thank you!
With some messing around, I was able to get the Email.apk installed. Strange thing is is shows up as v2.3 with titanium back up and does not show up at all under mange applications. Its ok, I guess. If anyone can still supply the stock app from the Optimus Net it would be greatly appreciated.

TWLauncher apk problem

I've been on cm7 for a while and all apks install fine but this one from the atrix forum
I put it in sytem/app and made permissions rw-w-w
but when I press install it loads and says "application not installed"
I've also tried rebooting and using terminal but they dont work either
help!
p.s. maybe it might be because I installed (stupidly) the original launcher first and then tried to install this one but I did uninstall the original first but still "application not installed"
You tried both installing normally and putting in /system/apps fixing perms and rebooting? If not boot into cwm and fix permissions after moving to /sys/apps

Tried that
I already tried that but to no avail

cannot reinstall stock messaging app

Hello!
After rooting my phone I uninstalled the stock Messaging app with Root Uninstaller. I made a backup of the Mms.apk file. A few days later I tried to reinstall it, but when I run it, it only says "Application not installed".
I've been searching around for hours, tried copying the backed up apk to the /system/app folder, changing permissions, rebooting, flashing various zip packages, wiping the delvik cache, etc, but still it says "Application not installed".
When I go to the /system/app folder with Super Manager, the copied apk file is displayed as Messaging(No install) ?! screenshot: hxxp://i49.tinypic.com/33zd1jb.png
I also tried with some other apks I found online but it doesn't work either.
I know I could flash the ROM, but I'd like to use that as a last resort.
Any ideas/suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

[Q] Problem installing keyboard

Greetings all
I'm hoping that someone out there knows what is going on with the keyboard installer. My phone is running SnowJB ROM, but I really don't like the stock Android keyboard and want to reinstall the LG keyboard. I have the APK file from the stock AT&T image, but I can't load them onto the system. The files disappear if I try to simply copy/paste into the /system/app directory, and I just get a generic "installation failed" if I try to install as an APK. And yes, I do have unauthorized sources enabled. So at this point, I'm at a loss. Has anyone been able to successfully install the stock LG keyboard? Or any idea what is blocking me from doing so?
Thanks.
Me to i tried installing with apk says application not installed and then i moved it to system/app changed permissions to rw-r-r and restarted but it just said lg keyboard has stopped. So if anybody knows that would be great. Nobodys responding though
