Need deodexed livewallpapers apk and livewallpaperpicker apk please! - Atrix 4G Themes and Apps

Anyone have livewallpapers and live wallpaperpicker apks that are deodexed? I removed them from my phone and now my gf is complaining my phone is boring. I swear she uses the damn thing more than I do. Before you all attack me, I have thoroughly checked the web on my phone and have tried like 10 different versions that all failed and force closed.

You could try looking in the GingerBlur zip to get the apks you need or maybe in the deodexed 1.83 zip found in the dev forum.

I have zero access to a computer so that is kind of out of the question my man.!I can't download zip files bigger than a few megabytes over AT&T.

I zipped those two files and uploaded it here for you, it's less than 3mb total: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=IHRGM9V6

Much appreciated brother

Dropbox Mirror
Dropbox Mirror - URL TAKEN DOWN - all credit for the file goes to OP. You do not need a Dropbox account to download this file, simply click on the link.
Edit: Well apparently this file is somewhat popular, as when I went to check my e-mail, I received this message...
This email is an automated notification from Dropbox that your Public links have been temporarily suspended on account of generating excessive traffic. Your Dropbox will continue to function completely normally with the exception of Public links.
I have since uploaded the file to MediaShare, and even though they have annoying ads (if you don't have the right blockers installed =p), they seem to have good speed and shouldn't drop the link because of traffic like Dropbox did.

Can I unzip the wallpapers on my N1. Or does it need to be unzipped on a pc
question for droid 2 owners
I wonder if its possible for droid 2 owners to try this. Can you go to this website adobe.com/software/flash/about/ and see what version of flash it indicates that you are running. I am curious to see if it says whether your running 10.1.72.7 or like the application info states 10.1.72.7.10 . If it is running the second version then I wonder if its possible to extract this update. On the droid 2 in the stores if you look under application info the update to the adobe flash is not part of the system files. It actually shows as a downloaded update which leads me to believe that it might be possible to extract the apk update.
The media share link above seems to have been taken down or deleted as well. Can anyone out there still using a DROID 2 provide a dump of the system/app folder. I am trying to fix my friend's phone who still has a couple months left on his contract.
If a zip of the entire dump is not possible, more specifically, I need the apks and odex for:
friendfeed
blur.home.status
messaging.engine
SocialMessaging
blur.socialshare
Thanks in advance
why not get a sbf and repair it that way?

deodex for the streak?? Anybody.. anybody??

Does anyone know if someone has created a deodex .zip file to flash via customer recovery?
For those that don't know, many of the apk files installed by an official rom will have a .odex file associated with them which slows down your phone considerably. These odex files interact with delvik cache and java VM and from what I understand wreak havoc on data access times and are largely uneccessary. Other dev platforms such as the droid x and evo have a .zip file that you can simply flash via recovery that will "deodex" your apps in system\apps folder. Basicially this zip will take your odex file and associated apk file and take the important information out of the odex and input it into the apk making just one streamlined faster file.... with all of your odex files gone, your phone will spend less time executing programs both for end user and core google apps and your phone will be way faster. Any idea if someone has developed this yet for the streak? Thanks
For others who, like me, didn't understand the question - read this.
But what I gathered from that wasn't that de-odexing speeds anything up, more that it makes it easier to make modifications.
Why are you posting this in more than one forum? This is the same as what you posted in the dev forum, right?

wasn't sure if anybody would follow what I am posting in the QA as most noobs are in here. Why do you care? I meant delete this one and go with the developer post anyway.

Marvin my man.... deodexing more than doubles data access speeds for core google apps and makes the phone more snappy. Seen this performed on a droid x and an HTC evo... works wonders.
I just want to know if someone has developed a simple flashable .zip file that will deodex my system/app apk files so I can speed things up and modify my self. I don't care that dj steve's rom already has this done... I don't care for steves latest roms as they are very buggy on 3g, wifi, gps, notification bar hangs, drops data when wifi toggle is enacted, gmail won't sync... I got tired of messing with he streaddroid roms (for now) and went to stock 318 with just smokku's dj steve kernal mod which allows me to OC to 1.19ghz. I get 2000 quad out of that and I am happy, plus I get the added bonus of having a 99.9% stable rom. Can't wait to see what steve comes out with next. i always try his roms out first.
Thanks
You could probably copy you're system/app folder and write a simple batch script to use baksmali to deodex *.odex, use 7-zip command line to put the .dex file in the apk (I assume that is what has to happen), and then push that folder back to your phone with an adb push. I dont really want to try this because I'm on 319 and cant make a nandroid backup but since you can on 318 it never hurts to try.

**EDIT**
I know this is a question but I thought it should go into development due to the potential of some of the dev's responding to this and posting useful developement info that we can try out and report back to the dev section. Plus, most of the trollers in Q&A probably don't know what this is or even care. Thanks
I am interested in this as well

Steve's roms are pre-deodexed, just look under system/app, you can't find see any odex file, or simply perform a search on 'odex' in root explorer and the result should be none.

framework-res.apk - signed with?

Hi - I need to mod arrays.xml in Values.xml - the autobrightness functionality in 2.2.2 UK retail is a joke.
What is framework-res.apk signed with? Can I get away with platform signing and pushing via ADB? Like I normally do...
PS: I tried the modded apk signed with TestKeys, but got shed loads of FCs on many of the Google Framework apps and services... had to reinstall 2.2.2 via MSU. On a cheery note, in between FCs, the autobrightness worked well!
I pushed the modded framework via ADB, btw.
Any idea welcomed.
Probably the odex nature of the ROM?

In my opinion the problem has nothing to do with the way you signed the framework-res. If the signature check fails all you get is a bootloop.
FYI usually i sign the framework-res with test keys, even when i made heavy mods i had no troubles.
Maybe something wrong in the arrays.xml file?
Thanks, I have modded the xml many times before without issue. I seem to remember that pushing via ADB didn't work before, so maybe I will do it as an update.zip. I am also wondering about permissions. Will explore.
PS: Any view on the fact that /framework is odexed? I note that the apk is 1.2MB smaller when built....!

[Q] PinyinMe to normal APK, English only and AZERTY

So there is this PinyinMe keyboard which looks the most like an iphone keyboard which I like as my phone is an iPhone Replica.
1. So the things I want to do is change the APK to a normal APK but I only know the way by TitaniumBackup but this app aint installed so it doesnt work.
2. The next thing I want to do is edit the APK xml files so I can remove all the chinese signs in it and change it to normal letters (mainly english).
- I already tried this but the APK wont install
3. If this is all working, I would like to make a second version of it which has AZERTY keyboard instead of QWERTY.
Please, I would really apreciate it and others too.

I really hope someone can help me out with this !
Ok so in this ZIP file is the original APK that you can just install and use. Also the one I edited which gives App not installed.
Can anyone look into this please??

You have two files in the zip. One is an .apk and the other is an .odex file.
I saw this thread as I was browsing around and came across your GooApple thread.
I am not sure what your level of expertise is, but basically, an apk from a manufacturer comes in two parts (.apk and .odex). If you want to edit the app, you must either edit both the .apk and .odex files, or you can 'deodex' the file which basically takes the contents of the .odex file and places it inside the .apk file.
If you have deodexed an apk file (removed the need for the .odex), you no longer need the .odex file. In this way, you get 'deodexed' ROMs with no .odex files inside. These are much easier to edit and work with.
There are lots of tutorials to find out more about this and about deodexing and editing .apk files if you search.
Here is a good starting point
If you are already aware of this, I apologise

Hey man, thanks for giving me this information.
I did read about deodexing but havent had the time to look it up. And I think TBP does the deodex (I could be wrong) when changing the system app to a user app.
Anyways, I have been able to edit the xml & png's, but whenever I try to install the newly created APK, I get the error : App not installed.
Maybe this deodexing can do the trick, I'll test it out once I find 30min of free time ^^
Titanium backup doesn't deodex the .apk. That is why you are having the issue. You can swap pngs etc without decompiling, but to edit smali and some xmls etc you have to decompile... it is much easier if you have first deodexed your apk to remove the .odex file.

I did recompile a working APK, but when I put it all back together and try as a system/normal app and do zipalign or no zipalign, I always get an error or just a crash. But probably deodexing will do the trick.
Hopefully I'll get some time this week for doing it cause its like:
